Are you using an NVIDIA or ATI graphic Card?
Because apparently the problem is with NVIDIA drivers, I hava new ASUS 9800 GTX and I have the same problem and a friend of mine working on ATI with the same installation have no problems to start it up, I think we need to find a patch it should be around, if I found something I will post it here.. ;o))

Like madmax said, I have an ATI card and it works perfectly.
Beware, don't delete the setup on your hd because when you write it down on a dvd, the setup doesn't work anymore.
