Yes, it works on the touch. I installed on a touch using an Imac. Im pretty sure it would work on a pc as well as I dont think itunes cares what os it is installed on when it updates an Ipod. many thanks to uploader!!

dude seriously, people are reporting that my file works perfectly. So what the **** are you saying that this isn't real?
yes it works with xp. just hold the shift button when you press check for updates and select the .ipsw file.

Works Great!! After install I recoment putting your ipod touch in recovery mode then Restoreing it from Itunes, This will give you the newest update of 2.0

Download then when done Hold shift on your keyboard then press check for update on itunes , search for the file u downloaded then wait for the install to finish

it said i had a message that the database was missin or somethin but iv just wiped the ipod an started over,it worked.

cool, now just put ipod to recovery mode then restore using itunes , do you know how to put ipod into recovery mode?

hold the powerbutton and the home button untill ipod turns off , when it turns off keep the home button pressed and only press the power button once and let go, but keep the home button pressed untill you see the connect to itunes picture on ipod

I don't know for sure but you need to completely power off the device and connect the cable to your computer, while you are doing that you need to press and hold the home button.
Just search it on google it is explained on apples website

hello, if still you want to download firmwware 2.0 for free please use this torrent: http://www.mininova.org/com/1589852 it is the final built (a347) and this is a345.
the new one is less buggy. Have Fun! I upgraded from 2.0a345 to 2.0a347 manually.

Anyone have the iphone update, there are problems downloading it through itunes for some reason.
Ziphone has updated its software so you can jailbreak your ipod 2.0 thegoldbar.
