the install notes do not really tell you how to install, does anybody kno how to do it?? al it says it

Install notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1) Unrar
2) Burn or mount
3) Install using the following serial: XEZL-GZWX-XQZG-GEGU-EEFC
4) Copy the crack from the DEViANCE dir on the DVD into game dir
5) Play

any body kno how?

these install notes are not specific enough. i got the game installed but how do i put the crack. the guy over me shows the install notes but step 4 doesn't make too much sense to me does anybody actually have this game running?

does anybody know what to do? help

I have instaled direct x 9.0 but i get a error "DirectX Error DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable error.
and i have don all.

ok I burned like 3 DVDs and none of them work it keeps saying put the right disc in wat do I do?

Why is it when folks are attempting to resolve an issue some of those who seemingly have the answer must act up? Why not spare us of your smartass responses and share your knowledge...regardless of how simplistic a question sounds to you.

Now with that said--the DEViANCE folder contains more than one executable file, they are: CoD2SP_s.exe and deviance.exe (at least that is what I received in my download--with no mention of what to do with it)

Do they both get copied to the installation dir? Do you have to run them before or after copying them, or just copy them (or it--whichever). Can we get one clear-cut, definitive answer on this, PLEASE!

i installed it and put the crack in the folder and get directx error and then opens a page witch does nothing 4 me!

I'm leaving a comment here since I've heard some issues on torrents and on google about cod2 not compatible for Vista users, well, it is compatible, just follow these steps:

1 Install COD2
2 Apply The Latest COD2 Patches
3 Replace The Single Player Crack At Game Directory
4 After You Do This, At The Desktop, Right Click The Icon Of The Game, And Click Properties
5 Once Your In, Click On The Label Where It Says Compatibility
6 Than Where It Says Run This Game In Compatibility Mode For, Click The Check Mark And Select Windows 2000 Since It Was The One That Worked For Me
7 Do This Same Procedure Where It Says Show Settings For All Users And Apply The Changes
8 Do This Same Procedure With The Icon Of Multiplayer Game & Enjoy!!

Sometimes It Might Freeze At The Beginning, But Just Click Space Quickly And You Will Get To The Main Menu, And Have Fun!!

yeah.. So i unrar'd Mounted.. and Of Course an Errror message Poppppppped up to say Hello and **** you... Lol so.. i dunno... all i did .. was I Extracted the RAR Folder.. into a Folder in C then i Mounted the ISO in that Folder.. and the call of duty 2 Menu popped up.. but so did an error message. SooOo well....i dunno.. ill keep trying ... Mhmm.

Please Help!!Any advise from people in the know would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using 3D-Analyze on this game as I have a rubbish Graphics Card in my Laptop. I've used 3D-Analyze on other games & it works but I can't get it working on this game.

I've used system requirements lab to check out what I need.
Video RAM: Required - 64 MB , You have - 224 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes , You have - No
Vertex Shader Ver.: Required - 1.1 , You have - 0.0
Pixel Shader Ver.: Required - 1.1 , You have - 2.0

No matter what I emulate including Ati Radeon 8500 I still get "DirectX(R) encountered an unrecoverable error" when I try to run the game.

Am I wasting my time? Is 3D-Analyze unable to emulate '3D Hardware accelerated card '?

Any ideas around this problem? (without buying a new graphics card) I'm saving up for a new PC.

For anyone still trying to install, it's actually pretty dam simple and anyone who could use google could find it out.

-Download and Install DAEMON Tools Lite.
-Using WinRAR, extract the first dev-cod2 RAR file in your folder to your desktop.
-Mount the .iso file extracted from WinRAR onto DAEMON Tools.
-Installer pops up, install and insert serial.

Not rocket science...
