I've no idea why 11000 people are downing this ****e - go for the 2.54gb XviD - it ain't HD (nor is this!) but the quality is decent and it's in English ...

the Quality is good.
But it is not working at about 26 to 32 or something, which was a great part.
Plus it ends with the entrance of the flag bearer of the country after "Chinese Taipei", which I don't remember who. So you will not see the your country or the country you want, neither you will see the lightening of the torch.

I haven't downloaded this yet, but it is very "practical", at least relatively to the 42 GB. and seems it has a better quality than this win since it is bigger.

A standard high quality 43 minutes HDTV program only takes 350 MB. The complete ceremony, from what I heard, is about 270 minutes. Therefore, a high quality version of the show will only take about 2.15 GB.

Take a look around mate:
There is a 4.91GB HD (720p 3300kbps) version by Orenji which is NBC/USA source with ad breaks removed and 'condensed' parade of teams. Runtime is 3.5 hours (1 hour less than 'live'). Decent but not brilliant HD quality but way better than any XviD will ever be obviously.
Or, there is a 2.54GB SD XviD version (BBC source @ around 1100kbps) of the full 4.5 hours with no ads and the standard English BBC commentary (IMO not great - things ain't what they used to be at the BBC, although I dare say Welsh speakers will enjoy it).
I have both and obviously prefer the HD version although the ad breaks are somewhat jarring even though they are removed.
The ideal is for a high quality release of the hour or so of just the ceremony minus that athletes parade in 720p/x264 at 4GB, or the whole thing at 8GB ...

While I'm still in the process of DLing it, I have a version that claims to be 720p, and the entire file size is just under 5gb. Total run time 3 1/2 hours.
