This CCTV version is great for people who can understand Mandarin Chinese. This is completely UNEDITED/UNCUT. The entire show, with the creative portion, Parade of Nations, and the lighting of the cauldron, is included in this 4 hours and 12 minute cap. Obviously the video quality can't that great given the 4.3GB for 4+ hours, but it's still quite decent. Original feed before the compression is HDTV source.

If you're an overseas Chinese looking for the show as shown in China, this is THE version to download. However, be forewarned, even some main lander Chinese have complained about the way the announcers narrate the show.

this is great, even if you don't understand Mandarin. you get the whole 4 hours, from the very beginning to boring parade of nations, to the eventual lighting of the torch. if you don't care about that, then download one of the other versions, but if you are obsessive about having the whole thing for posterity, it's here.

no commercial breaks and a different perspective and angle from the NBC coverage.

CCTV version is bad! Why?

They are scenes you will NEVER find in CCTV version.
But in BBC version or NBC version, you will see most of them!
NBC have cuts and ads,so personally I think BBC version is the best.
Of course if you don't like the BBC commentators,then try the Australian version.

@tracker544, junk that Windows Media Classic and use VLC media player, a very popular open-source app. i've been using it for about 6 years. you'll never need to download another codec ever again.
