His [Usayn Bolt] job, of course, is to run fast, and he does that quite well... ...two-time world championship medalist Wallace Spearmon of the United... Bolt and Spearmon are buddies:
"He's just playful, and he loves the sport -- someone who will race all the time, someone who won't duck, won't hide, won't take drugs. You can't ask for anything better," Spearmon said. "If you look back in the old days, people were always doing that, and that's what drew attention to the sport. So it's good to have someone like that around."
Good for the sport, yes. Not necessarily good for opponents.

Yes, tough luck for Liu Xiang of China, the reigning Olympic champion. Unfortunately, injuries are part of the sport. One of the main factors - and youth - why sprinters don't stay on top for more than a few years. Sprinting is a young man/women's "forte" and staying healthy and avoiding/recovering from injury without synthetic and illegal drugs in the sport rest best with the young.
I think many people, not just China, love Xiang and what he represents. Mr. Xiang broke into and was on top as a pioneer in an event formerly dominated by Europeans and Africans - heretofore Xiang has forever redefined that history by rewriting it with hard work and dedication - speed and power.
Look for Cuba to win the 110 meters Hurdle finals.

Hey Hey, what can I say, thanks just doesn't seem to capture gratitude I feel for the availability of these files. So maybe I'll just leave a smiley face to attempt to encapsulate the high emotions -
I guess everyone is wondering how Italy managed to lose to Belgium, even after getting two penalties; as well as how Brasil never showed up against Argentina, shades of World Cup 1998?
Anyhow, I'm waiting with seething anticipation for the 200 meters final tomorrow (This morning my time)- that race will officially crown Usayn Bolt as the new era in the sprint if he can deliver what the heats have shown to be probable thus far.
