This is true but they are actually repeating what they did with stargate SG-1 and making a movie to end it. Also there is a new stargate series in the works called SG Universe, which they said they would make until SGA is Over. so it is a mixed blessing that it is cancelled

On aug 20, mgm and sci-fi anounced that they are cancelling this show after season 5.
i suggest everyone signed the petition to save it
