Gov Palin was outstanding with her speech. Rudy was a good one also.
The Obama will now be spoken of in the past tense.
A Toasted Empty Suit & Bothersome Biden. A brother and a son are sinking him fast.

In September 1988, Michael Ducacus had a 14 point lead over George H.W. Bush in the polls. Ducacus won only 10 states and was trounced by Bush. Barry needs the same poll numbers as Ducacus to have a chance. He doesn't.
PREDICTION: Obama wins only 15 states and McCain/Palin win the White House.

I'm somewhat reserved, but cautiously optimistic. After a successful short convention with a clear message I expect the polls to turn back in McCain's favor or at least tie up. Today, we got a new CBS poll showing that McCain and Obama are tied up. Ratings seem to have been good, Americans should know Sarah Palin now. I'm looking forward for tomorrow, a look at if the speech she gave gave them a bump. The real deciding factor will be the effect of the information that is expected to be released by Republicans in October and the debates. The ending result should reflect a McCain/Palin victory but it'll be tight until election day. I have advise from for the GOP, sure up Ohio, Florida, Missouri, and Colorado. Then steal Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Michigan. If Dems lose one of those three states Republicans could send them home packing.

My father, a retired CAD specialist for a natural gas transmission company, told me about the pipeline project Governor Palin mentioned years ago. I hope it doesn't get f##k#d up by the politicians and whackos here. It would mean a heII of a lot of jobs, energy and prosperity on both sides of the border. I've liked McCain since the start of the campaign and his pick of Sarah Palin for a running mate makes me like him even more.
We may be having our own elections as soon as October. Polls show about 38% of people would vote conservative if the elections were held today. The rest of the votes are split amongst 4 other parties so it looks like we will have a Conservative majority.
I have never been this excited about an election before. I have to credit Rush for my renewed enthusiasm for conservative politics. I started listing to him regularly this year to hear a conservative perspective on American politics and I am very glad I did.

Hey Cheese, have you ever thought of moving to the States?

LMAO
Of course, Hap, they force it down out throats in public screwl-alls here But as Bruce Willis said in the Fifth Element,". . . I only speak two languages: English and Bad English!"
If the Liberals still had a majority I probably would have moved to the states already. I have been considering states like Alaska for a while and there is a Buddhist center in Minnasota that I have a lot of interest in as well.

I love Canada, but America offers a greater degree of liberty and opportunity. He11, the only reason Canada is as good as it is is because of our relationship with the United States. We need to really start picking up our end of North American defence, though.
Mark Steyn said it best: " If you go back to 1945, the Royal Canadian Navy had the world’s third largest surface fleet, the Royal Canadian Air Force was one of the world’s most effective air forces, and Canadian troops got the toughest beach on D-Day. But in the space of two generations, a bunch of tough hombres were transformed into a thoroughly feminized culture that prioritizes all the secondary impulses of society—welfare entitlements from cradle to grave—over all the primary ones."
Not matter where I live, though, I will do what I can to ensure conservative govenment on both sides of the border. I am torn between the freedom America offers and the need to fight freedoms demise in Canada.
