fxg's copy was just ok... not very crisp on my HD projector at about 8 feet wide... so im finally gonna try newartriot's work out... been reading good things about it and from what i can read in the info on this file its better than noir's version too so i will comment when its done and let you knw

Yea, by far will be the best copy out! NewArtRiot OWNS FXG when it comes to quality.....his rips are higher resolutions and use the h264 codec.....very noticeable better. He's the new man in town, haha
Seriously though, great quality, please keep releasing the newer movies like you have been doing. You are the closest it gets, before having to dload a 6gig blu ray rip.
Your quality for filesize goes unmatched!

Waiting for Dragonripper or RoCK_BlueLadyRG's release. Until then I will be happy with NewArtRiot's source BeStDivX.
Start releasing movies with surround sound and you will rule, keep with the stereo releases and and you continue to drool with FxG and aXXo. Quantity over quality 
DVD's have surround sound. Nero8 supports encoding 5.1 DD soundtracks and DTS so what's the deal? A simple choice in encoding and your releases would be EPIC.... Just some friendly advise.
@wgpfly Dragonripper or RoCK_BlueLadyRG are good choices their files maybe larger but you get true DVD quality.

this is very good quality... i think for dvd rip prolly a 10 for video.. a slight notch above FCG's copy i think.
however, the german subs (i think its german) are stll there BUT there are english subs as well that you can turn on for when they are not speaking english

Dont forget Konzilla's rips.They're brilliant and have that awesome 5.1 surround and flawless video.
I think Konzi's rips hold an edge over RoCK_BlueLadyRG and Dragonripper. Just brilliant.
But newartriot is in a league of his own too.In stereo format HE IS THE KING. No doubt about it.
And by the way this rip (newart's) is a beautful work of art.Crystal clear audio and video.

They are all good.....I just think xvid and divx are the past....x264 and h264 are the future codecs of compression. I do think Konzilla, dragonripper, and bluelady all have some great uploads however. It's just, a 2.1gb compressed movie should look better? If he used a 264 codec and kept his larger file sizes they would look even better.
Love those h264/x264 blue ray 720p rips out nowadays, too bad there's not more of them and more seeders. These 4-8gb movies, are basically blu-ray quality, all because of the beautiful codecs. Hopefully in the near future we move on to that as the standard, because watching anything non-hd for certain movies should never happen in this day and age!
Anyway, they are all great uploaders! Let's move into the HD 720p standard, we all have the bandwidth for it!

hey can anyone help? I've found that NewArtRiot's rip of 'Smart People' was fine............until processed to DVD using ConvertXtoDVD, when the audio/video sync went out. Anyone else had this problem with that and if so how can it be corrected

@24 jimonokata ,this is the full movie.the runtime is shown as 120 minutes because it has been ripped from a german PAL DVD and not NTSC DVD ,both of which play at different frame rates and hence runtime shown in PAL DVD is a little less than NTSC DVD ! it doesnt mean that its not the full movie.do a wikipedia search on diff between PAL DVD AND NTSC DVD if u want to understand more.

Why are you wasting your time here? I mean seriously why are you trying to convince people that your favourite ripper is better than our favourite ripper? It's a free world man, just live and let live.
Personally aXXo, FXG etc is too low quality for me. They compress the hell out of it to fit onto a CD size. I have no idea why they do that, I haven't used CDs for years...
Riot doesn't have any such restriction on file size, just whatever it takes to get a good copy. I like that and for me he is the best ripper around at the moment.
But you won't find me on an aXXo torrent dissing anyone.

Lokendra......the sad thing is you are probably one of those axxo trolls that run around these forums posting LINKS to his uploads! How many B-movies do they upload? You do realize axxo/fxg is WORSE than or maybe equal to watching a VHS movie....this day and age THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Watching Iron Man on anything less then a near 480i/p is a travesty....
Why does so many uploaders have to make the filesize 700mb? Do people seriously still use VCD's? If they do.....they should move back to Vietnam....no offense....but VCD's look like my arsss and should be destroyed for making our media look like my arss.

One LOve NewartRiot and other uploaders who don't sacrifice quality of our movies for VCd's......haha the video image, compressing it to the size of a VCD, destroying all chance it has at a decent picture, so you can put it on a CC. That is a tragedy. Watch these on your damn computers.....and if you really need to, hook your PC/laptop up to your HDTV, most HDTV's have either VGA/DVI/HDMI inputs these days......Watching a VCD on an HDTV is actually worse quality than an old VHS....trust me I have compared them.

First i want to say thanks to the uploader(s), this is a very good rip, comepare to the 2 others rip of devise and bestdivx this rip has better video quality but unfortunately it only has stereo sound, but still it is very handy when it is ripped in only 1 file that makes it easy to burn on dvd. On a scale of 20, in my opinion this one deserves
16/20 for video and 14/20 for sound. I'll keep seeding in a few more days.

actually, after downloading such a quality, i think axxo isn't king anymore, this file is only 390 mb biggezr than the usual releases of axxo and fxg, and the quality is just like a real dvd , just no 5.1 sound, but i don't need that anyway

Thanks NewArt, as usual you give movies with HI QUALITY, HIGHER RESOLUTIONS, and SURROUND SOUND on some movies for 5.1's.
Much respect for all the uploaders since the beginning till now, but those pixels are showing lately on smaller movies with 700mb file size i hate those boxes showing on screen. Try going for 1-2G movies with HD, H.264 and with a 5.1 surround. Try it and compare it before saying bad things, besides just be grateful that they share for us.

Turn up your upstream bandwidth .. if you can send something you have to your peers, a seed is freed up to send something you don't have to YOU ..
Serve and you will be served .. throttle and you will be throttled .. so turn it up and let's get the torrent moving ...

Quality does matter. No matter who uploads. Someone who demands great quality and chooses to praise respective uploaders doesn't make him or her a fanboy. AXXO (the popstar) has fanboys who praise him even when his ups aren't very good quality. NEWARTRIOT now has a following and he deserves it. And THIS is coming from an objective observer who isn't afraid to tell idiotic fanboys to go to see the eye doctor. Keep up the great work, NEWARTRIOT!

Yes, I've watched it.
The copy has German hard subs... nothing NAR could do about that. If you didn't want a copy with hard subs in German, then you should have found another download. Perhaps one with hard subs in Russian, or Swahili, since the version with English hard subs won't be released until next spring.
If you wanted to know what those hard subs were SAYING, use the .srt file included.
If you want subs for "just the German hard sub" parts? Well then... get off your @ss and create one. It's not rocket science.

@piratepolice: tho fxg and the lot provide more than decent rips, this H.264 rip has way better picture. This compares as a real DVD picture (NewArtRiot) against a decent VHS pic (FXG).

I have a question, if I convert this to avi (so I can then convert to DVD with ConvertXtoDvD to watch it on my TV) I will loose quality, am I right? What do you recommend me so I can watch it on my TV with the same quality as this one(mp4)?
P.S.:I don't think my TV accepts mp4, that's why I ask you if I should convert it to DVD directly from other program that isn't ConvertXtoDvD (cause I think this one only converts from avi to dvd). Ahh and this other program has to be able to include subtitles during the convertion like ConvertXtoDvD.

#85, you can simply ignore the file (or delete). It's not needed at all to play the mp4 movie file.

hello, can anyone help me.... when i convert the movies from newartriot with subs (srt) to dvd-file with convertx the audio gets out of synch. If i do this with movies from axxo or fxg I don't have this problem. i have installes the k-lite codec but i doesn't help....still out of synch. I had this problem with forbidden kingdom and donnie darko. quality from newartriot is better but if the problem remains, i have to download again from axxo..... and this one is also very good but. Please ...anyone a solution ?

#92, not sure what your doing wrong??? I just now finished converting to DVD using convertX and it's worked flawlessly. Perfect quality and no sync problems whatsoever. I suggest you play around with the settings before you convert. And as for #91, you are a d.ick.

On another note its amazing how dumb ppl can be. why convert to dvd? every computer produced in the last 10 years has vid/audio out. If not, get popcorn hour ffs.

Do you also use srt files when you convert , maybe MP4 and SRT don't go together. Or is the audio any different in the MP4-files and do i need to change some settings?

I still can't convert this movie to dvd with convertxtodvd. After converting the sound is out of synch. Never had this problem with avi-files. Can anyone help please ?

Movie hasn't been cropped optimally for the filesize, theres soft edges of black bars on 3 sides (won't show up in VLC as it overscans, but noticable in mpc, and either way it wastes quality). For the filesize a small resize would have been better too, perhaps to 640x384 or 688x416 anamorphic. better cropping + resize would improve details, less smoothing over of subtle details. Otherwise fine.

Here's to all of you who belive for some reason NAR is better than aXXo... aXXo just released his version of iron man, which is great quality AND, it has hardcoded ENGLISH subtitles! What does that mean for everyone? Well lets see, if you wanna watch the movie on your computer you won't have to download a new player that is compatible with .srt file extensions (WMP doesn't support it), and not only that you won't have to strain your eyes trying to read the english subs that are directly overtop the german ones. I guess patients really is a virtue, especially when it comes to watching a good movie done correctly, meaning that it was ripped from an english version of the movie. SO! aXXo is the best, and evryone else is BS!!!!!

aXXo and many other uses Prehistoric codecs for their Rips......lol 
NAR is the only H.264 ripper who rips from Retail DVD or HDDVD or BluRay!
Simply the quality is just EXTREME!

We PREFER Newart's rips simply because they were 500x better than aXXo's rips. Every people has their own preferences.

Does this movie have the subs for the start of the movie when RD Jr is captured by the arabs, are there subs available for this small part? When I took my wife to the movies to watch it at the theater the whole movie was translated. On axxo and fxg their subs only do a portion of the foreign language parts, a majority but there are stil places missing. AXXO has all embedded English subs, myself I find their quality all right and also appreciate the free movies, why are so many people wasting spots on this comment section to argue over stupid sh.t? Now I hope that I can get an answer before the moderator closes this board. This is a discussion forum so we can get an answer to questions about films and not listen to everyones comments about other uploaders or insults. If it weren't for the uploader bashing, this place would be pretty dead, actually, besides I read some pretty good replies about the audio and video and much more. Well, except for the dude who's trying to tell people why they wanna convert to DVD. Well, personally, I enjoy having a life beyond my computer. My friends can watch it on TV, never mind watching on a computer. That kinda, well, sad, IMHO, and more power to those who wanna watch it on their TVs and HDTVs as well.
As for the quality of this release, I don't wanna echo anything ya'll haven't heard, but this release is awesome and is the evolution of rips.
