Hey whenever I try to convert to DVD I get an error message that says I need the relative decoder, when I try to go to the website to download it, its not there, anyone else having this problem or know the fix?

Try Using Nero to convert avi to dvd just don't burn it leave copy on H/D

for any 1 havin problems with the codec, download divx & install. it auto attaches to winvi. works spot on, been usin winavi with divx for months & never had a problem.

OK for one i find that nero 7 works wonders on converting to dvd you just got to know your nero system and how to do it, when i do it i do make my own dvd movie video thing and it takes a lil while but it does it and works well oober cudos uploader

If you're getting this to convert .avi to dvd, I suggest you go out & throw down for a $40 dvd player which plays .divx files. I have a phillips dvd player that does this and it's a dream. I just burn the .avi file I download right onto a dvd or cd as a data file and play that. Works amazing, and zero hassle.

I do have the same problem, when converting to 98% the program has stopped.
I've tried 7 times with my loptop and desktop, came out the same problem.

@ 45. I do have the same problem, first everything worked just fine, but now it doesn't want to start convert anything. when i click the '' Convert '' button, it stops working, and needs to be closed....
@ 46. Sometimes I get that problem too, But it never worked totally perfect for me, so I just took the 98% of the movie as a given ( mostly the last 4%'s of the movie is credits anyway )
and the 98% of the file that WERE converted, are in your output map, and should play as if it was completed...( after you close WinAvi )

I am new at all of this... I dled this torrent and i also used the name and code in a previous comment and when i entered it... it told me that the program had to exit so it could register and when i reopen it it goes back to the registration part... what do i do? please help! my pc crashed and i am now having to find out how to do all of this on my own cuz a friend had put all of this stuff on here for me.

If you have troubles with the relative decoder, it'd probably be cause u don't have a codec at all.
Just download the Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP) and it should work perfectly.

I use AVS4YOU (AVS video Converter 6. This will convert anything to anything. Including RM, AVI, DVD, IPOD, MP4, FLV..etc.
It will even shrink your DVD if it is to big, and it will then burn to disk if you want.
I'm still playing with the DVD to AVI as last time i tried it the audio was a little out of sync...may just be me.

Okay I tried all the available winavi versions,but they never worked. I want to change from mkv to avi. whenever I start conversion. the program says that there is an error & i am forced to close it. i will really appreciate if someone could tell me what's the problem

The only bad thing is that it wont convert MKV files no matter what you do, I tried everything it just says Task Completed but nothing gets converted, I tried converting to every possible output this program allows and nothing
