If you want to thank the uploader, please use the "say thanks" button. If you comment, please tell the others whether the video and audio tracks have errors or not (i.e. if there are sync problems such as those in S03E01 before PROPER) at least.

I'm wondering the same thing. Apparently the new rules for scene releases state anything around 60 mins runtime has to be 550mb+ which in my opinion is totally ridiculous, we want our 350 Mb rips back!!!

cuz 350 mb fit too neatly on discs, at 550 we get less on each disc and have to use more, oh what a wicked revenge, lol.

To be honest the new rules really do ****, and put us Aussies with lower download monthly caps under so much pressure just to enjoy our fav show.
I really hope the scene releasers start taking notice and go back to the 350Mb rips like the past two seasons and release the 700Mb+ with higher quality for those premium users who CAN AFFORD it!!!

i know! the whole season of dexter usually fits in one dvd. now it won't and i can't even notice the difference! if they were able to fit in 350 MB releases before WHY CHANGE IT. TELL US WHY!

"550MB is the new(ish) size that The Scene has adopted for shows that run too
long to fit in 350MB, but are too short to warrant a full 700MB. Pretty sensible."
Will hopefully clear up some of the comments above.
P.S. It's time they abandoned fixed file sizes altogether and focused on average compression quality, but that's a whole other discussion.

It's funny, I was reading some comments on some AXXO movie torrenmts and people were complaining why he was sticking to 700Mb as a file size cap regardless of the lenght of the mnovie. People were syaing nobody uses CDR's anymore but DVDR's (and streaming and USB drives etc) and I tent to hope that is indeed the case.
Then you come here and you hear people talking about '2 episodes on one disk' meaning a CDR! You gotta be kidding me!
Guys, the size of the download should be dependent on the length and quality of the rip. Not on some arbitrary value based on a medium (CDR) that is completely obsolete.
I cannot say why the other EZTV uploads are the same old 350Mb and Dexter is over 500Mb but I would like to think EZTV (and other quality uploaders) would abandon file limits in favour of good quality rips.

just my 2 cents, but if you are so concerned with the file size why don't YOU re-enocde it at 350mb? that way if you want it at that size you do it yourself?

I think that the file size is not an issue, but these 550MB episodes seen so far don't have any better quality than the old 350MB files. Anybody who wants the best quality will download the 720p version anyway.
The real problem at the moment seems to be the lack of quality control. The first Dexter season 4 episode had audio sync issues and got propered, and this episode also has bad audio sync (less notable though) beginning after the point from which the first commercial break was cut out.
This seems to be the case not only with Dexter, but Supernatural too. SN 4x01 and 4x02 both got propered in 350MB versions because of audio issues; SN 4x03 was fine in 350MB version, but this time the 720p version had lots of metallic noise and there was no proper

Fozz33, I took Supernatural (which is already on season 4) as an example for another show with consistent quality problems. I hate having to download the same episode multiple times because the first version out has bad audio

Argh, why 550MB? I think, season (12x350MB) per DVD is smaller to downloading, etc.

349 or 550 MB, QUALITY IS NOT MUCH DIFFERENT. some encodes from the 350mb releases are actually better.
sure dexter is longer by 10 mins but i can't see why they have to change it. i have no problems downloading the 550 mb files. i just think it's a waste of space when there's hardly no difference with the 350 mb files.

Oh my god, Are you all serious? You are downloading material for free without having to pay for cable, let alone premium channels such as showtime, (which is what dexter airs on). So here's a thought...
Why don't you all be quiet and let the rippers do their job the way THEY see fit. What have you all contributed? If it is nothing more than a seed, BE QUIET!! Let these guys handle it. I think they know what they are doing.

MOST IMPORTANT....Only upload one torrent at a time! If you have many torrents uploading, your bandwith is being strangled and you are not sharing anything. The speed showing at the top of your bitcomet window is the speed you could reach, not what you are sharing
Right click on the column header on your bitcomet/utorrent program (where it says "time, upload, download, health"
Click on the option "ratio" or "share" then start to upload
When the share ratio colum reaches 1.0 you have uploaded exactly as much as you downloaded. But it is more common and standard, to upload to 1.5
