i downloaded the trial from the post where someone offers all versions of CS4 softs individual and all versions of CS4 suites. Just picked out the CS4 Extended PS outta there. Works great.

spykweb you can find the trial on torrent, i downloaded it from the adobe servers but (i think) adobe deleted the files from there servers when they found loads of people downloading and the links posted publicly.

Full Instructions
Run Universal Adobe Cs4 Complete Patcher By Dell T.exe then click part 1, select the dir and then click patch me (that will then block the adobe activation servers)
next install photoshop as trial (either by running setup.exe manually or by clicking part 2, once installed then Select Part 3, then run adobe and enter the serial in the read me.

Just disable AVG and follow instructions
I already had the trial installed, after patching it stopped showing the "XX days left" message, so i guess it did the trick. as it stopped prompting for serial, i didn't even had to bother copying this one.
been working with PS CS4 extended for one hour now with no crashes or bugs.

sounds like it could be 2 things.
1) if you are trying to enter the serial during install, then you did not read the instructions as you HAVE TO INSTALL IN TRIAL MODE.
2) if you have instealled and it is not accepting the serial means you have not done step 3.

(@SashaFierce) you don,t have to remove cs3 before installing cs4. you can installed both in the same hdd at the same. but why do that. just leave you cs3 installed cs4 and if it work for you. uninstall cs3.
i had both for during the cs4 trial period. and had no conflict between them they where both working fine at the same time.

Hi. I followed the instructions, had a cple of issues with the serial key as it kept asking for it after i had inputted it after loading the trial version and patching. I hit next a few times and now when i use the program after about 3-5 min it closes down. Have I patched incorrectly or do i need a new key and if so where do i enter it as i can't deactivate or find a place to input a new key. Have already tried uninstalling and redoing the whole thing again. Help!

The first step, when it mentions the "etc" directory...does all it do is change the hosts file? I a***d in some info which I suspect it does anyways myself, since the cracker, for whatever reason, can't fine the Etc dir.

Well, the patcher apparently isn't working. I ran the patcher and copied the .dll to the folder, nothing doing, says it's missing the amtlib.dll file and to re-install.

rugbyguy you need to do step 3 and make sure its in the correct dir.
***everrar, it does not find the ect dir you have to point it to it, Same with part 3 it does not find the adobe folder you have to point it to it.
Patch Works Perfect 5,445 download and only 2 complaints. i would say you two are not pointing it to the correct folder.

Yeah, it's a little weird, the exe file can't find the "etc" folder for some reason. It sees only en-US and UMDF, but not "etc" (or Avg). That's why I was asking about the hosts file, I changed that manually.
Step 3 was ok. I cracked /program files/adobe/photoshop cs4 (64 bit)/ and it even says that it was successful. Upon trying to load PS, it gives the error mentioned above.

***everrar, yes step 1 changes the host file to block adobe (nothing malicious all it does is blocks there 11 activation servers). make sure the ect folder is not read only or hi***n, disabling avg may help (as from what i heard avg thinks its a virus, because of this it possibly may block it from changing the hosts file althought as i do not use avg i dont know for sure, if it is avg blocking it.
about the step 3 error, in our limited beta tests, it was only tested on adobe 32bit cs4's, to see if it is the fact you are using cs4 64 bit, please use the "Part 5" Button, to restore the amtlib.dll file to the original, if after this adobe runs and does not complain about the dll try step 3 again, if it says "amtlib.dll file is not found or currupt" uninstall photoshop cs4, re-install then backup the 64bit amtlib.dll file then i will make a crack for 64bit.

I am running Vista 64, and when I run the Patcher I get this error when I try to run Part One - Run-time error '339': Component 'RICHTX32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
Any idea what that means or how to fix it? I have tried running the patcher as administrator which doesn't seem to help.

hey, ive just downloaded this crack. I keep trying to work through part one of the whole thing but a window keeps popping up saying that I have to change the read-only attribute of my etc folder. Each time I change the attribute it automatically turns back to read-only, and i can't get it to stay off. I also have vista, if that helps you to help me

I have downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 from adobe.com using the instructions in the http://www.mininova.org/tor/1921867 torrent file. Then I downloaded this torrent to patch Premiere Pro Cs4. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

First I runned the Universal Adobe Patcher and did exactly what the patch says in Part One-Two-Three. (Install as trial!!!) Then I started Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and used the serial in the info.txt. And I selected 'Don't ask again' as an answer to the registration. (Don't register!!!) I have installed all other programs like Adobe Encore, Bridge etc. with the Premiere Pro CS4 package. There isn't any problem with any of the programs right now. When you first start to use programs, some of them can ask you to install additional contents because you have installed as a trial before patching them. Just install additional contents and go on using programs. Additional contents install without any problems. After this installion you can see that you can choose HDV format in Adobe Premiere Pro while makind a new project.

peanuttles about comment 39......: you need to click part 2 or you can manually run setup.exe its up to you.
peanuttles about comment 41......: there is no manual copying and renaming, the bit on the first window is just an explanation of what each part does.
for part 3 all you do is click the part 3 button then in the directory boxes you select the adobe app folder, for example if you where using it on photoshop then it would be directed to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Cs4 then once you have setup the dirs correctly just hit the patch me button, then run photoshop and enjoy.

Aaarrgh! Are you like me? Vista 64 woes? Can't get the etc folder to show up? Can't edit, overwrite or change permissions? Frustrated?
Copy 'hosts' to a directory you CAN see in the app (or just make one), and run the app on that directory. Open this new 'hosts' in notepad, and it should have a list of the URL's you need to block. Copy this (ctrl-a, ctrl-c).
Click the start button, go to that little text field at the bottom, and type in: cmd
Apparently, the MS folks figure if you know your DOS, you can be trusted?
Anyway, at the command prompt in the little black box, type the following:
notepad \windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (or whatever the path is in the app). Note these are BACKSLASHES: \\\ and not ///. This should open in notepad.
Replace with the URL's (ctrl-a, ctrl-v). Save As, and save it in the \etc folder as hosts, overwriting the original.

Could you please help me
I was dowload the cs4 installation files from Adobe's website (Nov 29) and using your patch to set it up but there is a problem while installing.. It said "There is an error, Error 1603. Fatal error during installation".
They said "you need to connect to the internet."
Do you have anyideas? why I have that message? and how to solve the problem?..
For more information ... I have CS3 already installed on my system, and I am sure that I did the right step for your patch it's stuck on step 2 (installation step)

pARTtout - make sure you installed as trial, if you did sounds to me like you have not done step 1,3 correctly, please re-do these steps.
mondet - i dont quite undertstand why you are getting this issue and no one else out of these 11k downloads has. my idea is go to the hosts folder and then remove all the adobe enterys then install then re-do step 1 to 3

i installed dreamweaver cs4.
did the third step as instructed(copied amtlib.dll to a diff directory before that)
it is rejecting the serial.
when i press "quit" button it is launching dreamwever properly
moreover when i use a serial generated by http://www.mininova.org/tor/1998451 is is accepting the serial.
is this the way it is supposed to work or am i missing ny thing???

Happy New Year from the Sonoran Desert! This crack worked perfectly with Web Standard. Run the Complete Patcher By Dell T.exe part 1, install product as trial, copy the TWO DLL files, amtlib.dll and richtx32.ocx, to the install directory (I chose the Dreamweaver CS4 directory), then I opened Dreamweaver CS4, entered the serial from the crack text file, clicked next, chose Don't Ask Again. All programs in the Web Standard suite work perfectly.
Only once during software installation did my firewall (AVG) ask if I wanted to allow Adobe Air (part of the Web Standard suite) to access the internet. I chose BLOCK just to be on the safe side. Now that all the parts are set up and working I allowed Adobe Air to update.

Re comment #27 - I think a 64 bit version of the amtlib.dll file is required. After patching, running Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit) fails, saying it cannot locate this file. The restore didn't work for me 
Seems the 32 bit install works (haven't tried the serial yet).

I have read through all the comments to try and find the answer to my problem in order to not bother you however it appears that my problem is the same as peanutlles in comment 49....
I am currently downloading cs4 trial from adobe, in the mean time though.. step one seemed to work fine but when i chose step two it says random error has occured restart program ?

I-SPY-24: it does not need a serial, when it asks for a serial you choose run as trial, then close and run part three. i tested yesterday and it works fine. (prior to yesterday i had only has beta testers feedback saying it worked) but know i know 100% it works.
Benjamena: i think there is 1 maby 2 in the masters collection it does not work on, but it works on all the main once e.g photoshop, dreamweaver ect.

Can't thank you enough!!! For me, the process turned out to be a little different than the instructions. After opening the patcher app and clicking Step 1, I got an error box:
"Error 372:
Failed to load control 'Rich Text Box' from RICHTX32.OCX. Your version of RICHTX32 may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application"
So I renamed the original amtlib.dll in my Adobe InDesign CS4 folder, per instructions, to amtlib.dll.old. Copied RICHTX32.OCX and the new version of amtlib.dll and pasted them into the ID CS4 folder. Fired up InDesign. Program didn't even ask me for a serial. Went straight to registration page. "Never Register". And off we go! Again, thank you so much!

I installed this patch a month and a half ago (12/04/08) and it worked great until today, now when I try start up any of the Adobe Cs4 programs it says the license has expired. Acrobat 9 and bridge still start up but thats it .. any ideas?? Should I try re-installing the patch?

I have still completely same problem. I did everythig as you said but still nothing. I have still error report that: "License for this product has expired" I have no idea where can this problem be. I have switched off restoring windows so I can't try this as meatpuppet08 did. I'm using Illustrator and Flash, both no go. Thank you for your time!

in fact the first time i launched photoshop after entering the serial i had this menu in the toolbar but not anymore. too bad since its a very useful tool.

I figured it out, this is what I did incase anyone else runs into this. On Step 1 as I noted in my other post, the “read only” setting would change back every time I closed the window, so I just left the window open after applying the change , then ran step 1 of the patch. Then applied step 3 making sure that it was applied to the program file that contained the .ex file (illustrator’s and flashes file structure was different than the rest of the programs). So all the programs work on this machine now, I will let you know if I have success on my other machine. Thank you again Dell for all your time and effort.

OU YEAH!! I realised that I was just stupid. If you want to patch Illustrator and Flash you have to open the location of amtlib.dll which is in this case situated in Program Files/Adobe/YOUR CHOSEN CS4(illustrator or flash)/Support files/Contents/Windows/amtlib.dll Thats all. I just patched it according to step 3 and it works fine. Anyway thanx a lot for helping me. I LOVE CS4

meatpuppet08 the issue sounds as you say to be the read only issue, the restoring back would be the contact with adobe which step 1 stops so if the file is indeed read only step 1 cannot update it.
hujnakv yes it has to be patched into the same area as amtlib.dll, thanks for informing me about illustrator and flash having diffrent structured it is always usefull to know, if the question comes up again, all i knew at the time of release was the general structure, which was true for photoshop and most others.

First of all, thank you,for all the work you do, and for staying with this beautiful torrent for months supported your product, its rare and very appreciated, this seems very legite and i'm uber excited to get my hands on illustrator and indesign, but, i'm running into a slight problem, I have a 64 bit (arg) vista laptop, that is being very stubborn, so i have read every single comment, and the genius who made the comment about 64 bit versions(comment 55) was almost my savior until the very end, i moved the "host" file and used step 1 on it, then copied the urls into the actual host file in the etc folder by using the command prompt, but, when i go to save and overwrite it, it says, sorry, unable to save file, check file name and file path. as i'm overwriting it, i know the path and name are just fine, any ideas/suggestions? also, if ohmygodigotvista has any suggestions it would be appreciated or any 64 bit users!!!!

haha, well shoot, sorry for the long previous post, but the thank you still stands permanently, i googled changing host file and some nice man told me how, for any 64 bit users, on comment 55, the only thing to do differently is instead of using the command prompt, right click on notepad and "run as admin" and then go and find the host file and open it, paste urls, and save, if it doesn't show up looking for it with notepad, make sure the "type" of file is set to "all" hopefully this is the only thing that i get stuck on!

I created an account just to say Thank You! I had installed Adobe's Master Collection from a different torrent back in November and like many others here, found all the programs had stopped running just a few days ago. Using your Universal Patcher, they're all working again. I didn't even have to uninstall/reinstall anything, just ran steps 1 and 3 as you instructed. I really appreciate your effort!

Hi dell trotter i got a prob with after effects done all the above for this 1 i did have it working but i had to do a system restore then it stoped working my put it on my laptop i had put the Serial number in then it came up with serial has expired any clues..

I thought my first installation went great, but now I'm getting a "not properly licensed" error and InDesign shuts down. I figure the problem comes from Step 1. (See post 86.) You're right--RICHTX32.OCX was in the same folder as the patcher. But I got the error anyway. So I navigated to C:\Windows\System32 and found the original RICHTX32.OCX, renamed it to RICHTX32.OCX.OLD and pasted your new version in there. I uninstalled InDesign to start from scratch. Ran the patcher, and it's saying I need to remove the read-only status from the ect file. But I can't figure out where the ect file is. Is ect the filename or is it an extension like xxx.ect?

imfredgarvin, the message is just a general message it does not apply to all pcs so just click ok and try and patch and if it still does not work go to the hosts folder.

Following up from my previous post... Replacing RICHTX32.OCX allowed Step 1 to work, unlike before. Since it worked, I finally was able to see the file path to the etc folder in the patcher's dialog box. Following the pop-up's instructions, I turned the "ready only" status off for the etc folder. Also left the etc properties window open after hitting "Apply". Uninstalled InDesign and reinstalled it from scratch, using the dialog to locate setup.exe. At the end of installation, I selected the 30-day trial instead of entering Dell's serial. Got the "thanks for installing" pop-up. Used step 3 of the patcher to locate the folder where amtlib.dll is located for InDesign. Clicked to patch. Started up InDesign and again got the "not properly licensed" error and the app shut down.
InDesign hates me!

strange, this may be one of the apps which is not suported by the patcher there is 1 or two.
try, step 1 and then serialing it that may work when the patcher doesnt.

Dell, thanks for the tip on using the serial, but InDesign says it's invalid. (Big red X.) Do you think I'd have any better luck if I downloaded the full Creative Suite, then ran through the patching process?

the reason is says invalid is becuase you have not done step 1, or if you have it has not worked, which must mean the file is read only.

I have a 64 bit vista laptop and i was able to patch and block for Adobe InDesign just fine, but maybe its harder on different platforms, goodluck

Although, i forgot, i have a question, i have patched illustrator, indesign and photoshop, but for some reason, the "Accept terms and licence" agreement comes up everytime, not that the program doesn't engage after, it is just annoying! any suggestions delltrotter?

nick12nack i am unsure why it happens for you, the photoshop cs4 i installed worked ok, without this anoying error, althought i have only tested on 32bit. i will look into the issue.

After following the steps, I opened Photoshop and entered the serial provided. A box appeared saying the license was expired and now the same box appears everytime I try to open Photoshop. What did I do wrong?

thx for this excellent tool.
Everything works well so far (Photoshop, DW, Premiere) but I could not get Acrobat pro ext. get working.
It opens and after a while, even after selelt "create new project" the 30day trial message appears.
I've tryed it several time??! All other apps are running well.
Do you hav an idea, what could be wrong with the acrobat pro ext?

MariCB, you need to do step 3
Supernova0815, like flash it may be on the programs whcih does not follow the standard structure, i suggest looking in the program folder for a file called "amtlib.dll" and then finding where it is, once you have found where you just patch to the location e.g if its /programfiles/adobe/acrobabt/files you patch to there.
someone mentioned the non standard structure of some programs erlier above if i remember correctly.

Illustrator still says try out but Photoshop doesn't. I even copied the amtlib.dll to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Support Files\Contents\Windows" Any advice?

you have to find the place where the dll is, then you can replace it, illustator uses a diffrent structure which i am not sure of.

so send the patcher there, as already stated they use non-standard stucture, just look for where the amtlib.dll file is

i have had this working for a while now this is what ut says when i try to open it no.

yes.. it shouldent be able to communicate with adobes server's, can you take some print screens and explain what you are trying to do.. importer process server sounds to me like it is trying to communicate to adobe servers... i may be able to help you on team viewer... ahh lightroom is totally diffrent, this patcher is only for programs in the cs4 series, so does not work on lightroom, Acrobat or any other adobe non-cs4 program.

I can't get rid of the "terms of agreement" prompt i get everytime i want to run Premier CS4. Can anyone help me? Someone else here reported that problem, any way to fix it? It does work but Premier in particular has this problem. The others seem ok.

this patch works fine, install CS4 extended as trial WITHOUT serial,
copy both files, amtlib.dll and richtx32.ocx to the install directory (rename original amtlib.dll to .old), run photoshop and enter given Serial number on the txt file. (DO NOT enter this serial at installation, it will refuse it). When pressing continue, PS CS4 will directly give you the registration ****** page. Here you select "don't ask again" and it closes.
CS4 xtended runs now just fine with this.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ......
