Can anyone offer any advice on subtitles as in, just English translations for the foreign speaking parts, otherwise you have to have subtitles for all dialogue in the film, had the same problem with a few films like this recently. Axxo yor video quality is great, but when will you start ripping decent audio? I mean really a bitrate of 112??? I wouldn't even consider listening to music with such a low bit rate.
Your video is top notch...your audio quality is utterly horrible. I know this would result in larger files, but with DVD writers available for under $30, who doesn't have one now?

Yes I can hear the difference. Anyone with a decent audio system can. I did get the version with full 5.1 audio. I only mention it here because Axxo rips great movies with great quality video. Why not rip high quality audio to go with the great quality vid?

Don't go rushing into things and complain for no subtitles!! I'm a newbie and got this simple subtitle in English with no hustle at all!
From the list provided just don't go for the 'empty' ones and make sure you name the subtitle file (all subtitles for that matter) the same name as the movie file with an extention of .srt at the end.

This isn't the AXXo we're used to, I'm guessing it's a person helping AXXO. Cause the real AXXO had subtitles and an XBOX and PS3 could read the video file. But now there's no subtitles for some reason in the recently a***d films and half of those films cant play anymore on a game console. =[

Ok so I went back and reburned the cd-r with tips from #69 only i used this guys subs (bcuz it said axxo and perfect in the title): http://subscene.com/english/The-Mummy-3-Tomb-of-the-Dragon-Emperor/subtitle-181986.aspx
So for simps like me your data cd should have 2 files named exactly alike with proper ending (.avi and .srt):
Mummyaxxofilename.avi
Mummyaxxofilename.srt
And then burn as usual, and then turn on your subs, and viola, there it is. Cant believe it was that easy.

Hi, ZER0_COOL, you could use AVI ReComp for subs. You can embed them into a avi file. It's fairly easy to use and better yet; it's no cost. The main link is here; http://www.videopedia.pl/avirecomp/news.php I use an older version, the 1.4.0, works better for me. It's a good program, it offers some other good features as well. Just make sure the subs are the right ones for this movie before doing it. It allows you to preview it before running it.

I agree with a # of posters...because a lot of people here were ready to get on all fours and kiss Axxo's rear, they did not play the file and find out that THERE WERE NO ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS FOR THE CHINESE PARTS.
Next time before thanking, play the file first losers! Just because it's Axxo doesn't mean it's the best upload of the bunch.

the movie is in english, so their should be hard-coded subs for the mandarin/chinese parts, or at least they should be included in the rip. Audio and quality was very good, but why do ppl upload with no subs. If this is a R1 dvd rip like axxo maintains they always are, then its english with english subs hardcoded. there rant over

There are Chinese sections which require subtitles be added. Only downside to the subtitles is that they are there for both the English and Chinese sections.

Just use DirectVobSub (found here: http://www. divxmovies .com/subtitles/) to hardcode them into the file, and to play the movie with subtitles.

Does anyone know why I would be getting "Media Usage Rights Acquisition" when I try to play the movie? All the other movies I get are great (and I'm WAY too worried about getting **** quality so I don't get them from anyone other than axxo). Any solutions?

No English subtitle track for the non-English parts. Luckily the narrator in the beginning summed up the intro, at least I hope I'm not missing anything.
Other than that, video and audio are excellent quality for a 700m rip.
