I don't have or need a username and password. The program is pre-cracked so I don't understand your problem. Do you have remnants of an old Eset program on your system that could be interfering? I've seen this work on several other PC's. It's running on this just now. This torrent is on other websites too yet you're still the only one to say it doesn't work. That's what seems suspicious to me.

No I have no rems of any Eset on this drive, I formerly used AVG 8.0 and have had high interest in Eset as it is greatly recommended by many forums I frequent.
No disrespect here or complaint BloodL, I see you have committed several uploads here and I think that is great. I was just disappointed this didn't work for me.

Tried the link, mostly written in chinese if I am in the right spot. Tried several of the UN and PWD to no avail, I keep getting the invalid message. I was wondering if it could be because this machine is running the Windows 7 Pre-Beta? Thank-you for your continued effort though.

You see, the reason this one has no serial number is because it doesn't need one. The crack sets the trial length to 24,548 days so you don't ever enter a name of password (unless it's 68 years from now!). This is what I don't understand. It shouldn't even ask for a serial as you're still using the trial.

Well I just kept checking the site every day to keep ahead but you won't need another one until 13th Feb 09. Just keep a note of this one and try nod321 every so often. As I said some are for the antivirus only but there's usually always a few ESS ones posted too.

OK, just installed on my Vista SP3 PC and got the same result, used the same UN and PW and it worked fine. Same expiration date. in Feb. though. That suits me, but 67 years would have been great

That's strange though. If other people are having problems or can confirm that it's working for them then let me know here and I'll decide whether to keep it or delete the torrent. I don't want to have anything uploaded that no longer works.

Just to get back to you BloodL, I tried the steup parameters later when I did the install on the Vista machine.
As far as using my head goes, I have been fixing machines longer then you have been alive daphilliates. If you don't ask questions, you don't learn.(you might find that out after you go through puberty) Just to reinforce with you BloodL and everyone else here, there was never any complaint from me only thanks.

It seemed like a slam to me, so I simply repaid. However, to offer credit where credit is due, the patch .reg merger seemed to completely resolve the problem on the Vista machine. Why do I ask questions? Because I do not know all the answers, no one does. Which is why you ask.
Thanks again BloodL for sharing a valuable program and thanks daphilliates for the workaround. I am going to seed this with a text on addressing the UN/PWD condition unless anyone here objects.

Does this version have the boot up error with EKRN.exe using up to 99% CPU usage and KILLING the machine? And when accessing the Internet as well?
I ask because the version I'm using has this issue and MANY other people have this issue so i was just wondering if u have ever experienced anything like this with 669 business before i download?

It works. On another website one person said after a couple of days he was prompted for the password again but when he used the patch.reg file (read above instructions) it was ok again so it's a good idea to hold onto that one just in case. Most others report no problems.

Help....!! downloaded just fine, no probs,chose to set parameters later..fine...then up came a red warning saying...''un&pw needed to update...so went to the ''chinese'' link and entered a random one....and cool it was working just fine except that it said the expiry date was a month away in dec 08 !! now it wont accept the un or pw !! and a day later its asking me for it.......again !! im at a loss now..ive followed all of the ''argumental advice you have all posted but totally stuck now......

You ran patch.reg, rebooted and it didn't patch it? That's a strange one. The patch will add to your registry the years of trial left. Do you have any remnants of another ESET product on your PC?
Whatever there should be no need to panic if you use the name and serial I gave above which has been tested working by several people now. This will last you until Feb 13th 2009 so you should be able to find another by then to extend your license. Remember when you use this though that your ability to get the 67 year license will probably vanish.

thanks for the upload. gonna try it now. you know what was really weird though. while downloading it (it was at only ~30%), my current install of eset nod32 antivirus quarantined the file and stated that it contained a win32/SPY.Agent.PZ trojan. using utorrent btw.
i tried a second time to download this torrent, and it downloaded fine with no warnings being set off. even after running a scan on the file, it set off no warnings.
so my question is... why did it set off my licensed copy of eset the first time? i've never known eset to give off false warnings like that.
btw. i own a legitimate copy of eset and merely downloaded this copy to test the quality of my internet connection to see if comcast is raping me or not. i deleted the download as soon as it finished.

Not sure I understand what you mean. This is the full version. Why do you want to put a name & password in? In any case the answer is no. Using that ID & serial will only get you a trial version lasting till Feb 09.

I was able to fix the update problem by applying the patch.reg file (as discussed previously)and simply rebooting. Selecting "Update virus signature database" then finally updated ESET without asking for a ****** username and password. Virus signature database is now up-to-date and I now have 24,500+ days of free updates (fingers crossed). Thanks to all those who contributed to this solution.

67 Years is pointless. ESET has Version 4 of NOD32 available for down load for free. Its still Beta, but it works perfectly, and you dont need User name or Password.

This ain't NOD32. It's ESS which is NOD32 + Eset Firewall. If you don't want it then move on to something you do want.

That is something I don't know cos I've never tried it. Are you unintsalling to install another AV+Firewall because remnants of another program may prevent it installing. I wouldn't like to say one way or the other in case you do it and can't reinstall. I guess it depends on how necessary you find uninstalling this. Maybe if somebody has tried it before they can post here with the results. Best wishes.

hey Zyppher02, uninstall ESS from the start menu path, next go into C:\Program Files\ESET and delete the ESTE foler entirely. Reboot and then reinstall.

Ok got it, 24k+ days(!) Installed just this 8am which is 6 hours ago. Also extracted, used the patch. Immediately after installing, updated from tray and got the intial big update. That's when I saw the 24k+ days at "about". But it hasn't updated again since then. Is that normal? I tried Eset before (on a different pc) and it auto-updates hourly with a pop-up saying/showing that it just had an update. But will observe til tomorrow if it updates automatically.
So far it says when I do a manual update that the there's no need and that the virus definitions are current.

this won't update the program just definitions. ESET are working on ESS 4.0 just now so I wouldn't bother updating the program until then. It's already out as a Beat but isn't finished yet.

First of all thanks for the prog. I wanted to ask though, when i dl'ed it just gave me an exe file and nothing else. I read through the comments and a patch file was mentioned a few times. Was the file changed? I just want to make sure everything is ok.

The patch file is bundled inside the exe with the rest of the files needed. When you run the exe it automatically patches the program for you. Only if you encounter probs do you need to knwo about the patch.reg file so do you have a prob or just wondering?

@chamanc, you're right it doesn't work for 64 bit systems but it was advertised as such on ESET's website so that's their error. I belive you can get a 64 bit version though.

@cobbler126, If you read the comments you'd know that patch.reg is contained inside the single exe file which has to be extracted if you want to see it. Don't say there's no such thing as it. Ask where it is if you really need to know. The patch.reg file is only necessary if you somehow fail to install this correctly so don't worry about it since that's not the case for you. The exe automatically ran the patch.reg file contained within for you when you installed the program. And yes, it's much better than AVG as are most antivirus programs.
@fannyg, The virus databse will upload when the program tells it to. Just be patient. It doesn't update unless it has to. If its not updating then you have the latest databse.

Everything was working fine with the automatic updates and all... til the last time I tried to update from the system tray. I've done that a couple of times and was able to manually update from there. But the last time I tried, ESET expired and got disabled- turning red! Is it because ESET has fully launched a new version?

No idea why it did that although there's no need to update from the system tray. Now that this has happened though (at the risk of repeating myself for the 10th time) extract patch.reg from the exe you d/l'd, double click on it, reboot and you will have the 67 year trial again.

If that doesn't work it may be that you have to uninstall and reinstall again so try that if it doesn't. As soon as ESS 4.0 comes out of Beta production I'll do my best to put up a cracked version of that but as you can see they're still testing it and it doesn't have full functionality yet.

OK, here's another tip folks. IF your trial expires (or at least thats what ESET is telling you) and you're asked for a name and serial enter this and you should go back to your 24,000 day trial.

If not then your only option is to use the patch.reg file or uninstall and reinstall again but try that name and serial first. Good luck to those of you who've had this problem.

Have you let it update automatically by itself? A lot of these problems being reported here and elsewhere seem to happen when the user hasn't been patient enough to let it update by itself. But no, its not normal to have a sig database from 2008. Roll on version 4 is what I say. Half of these bugs that are reported could be ESET bugs & not relatd to the torrent. All I can suggest is reinstall it. I wouldn't be happy with a virus databse that out of date.

That's because this is a cracked ESET/NOD32 program! Of course it'll flag it as a virus to stop nooobs downloading it. So take your angry faces elsewhere and learn a thing or 2 about false positives. Look at my uploads. Do I look like somebody who uploads virus infected torrents to you? If so don't d/l from me. It really is that simple.

Yes that name & serial will last you until April. Don't worry there'll be more in the future so if ESET 4 isn't out by April and your trial is nearly run out just check bak here and I'll post the info to get a few more months out of this.

well if you can't get it working longer than a week why don't you use the name and serial I gave above in post #90 which will last you until April? Then come back when your time is almost up and I'll give you a serial that will last another 2-3 months? I don't know what else I can suggest after 100+ posts that I haven't already suggested but there's one good tip for you. Use that name & serial and forget about it until April!

Guys its so simple the patch file is available in the setup file its self, pls follow the following
1. Install WinRAR if you dont have it please download from [www.rarlabs.com]
2. Right Click on the downloaded file and click extract to folder.
3. In the extracked folder you will find a .reg file named Patch.
4. After installation just patch it.
5. Say thanks and leave your comments.

Look at post #92. I've uploaded ESS v4 now. Use Eset Login Viewer that I've also uploaded in conjunction with it and get working serials for life. There's your solution.

Guys, I've got ESET Smart Security 4 on my system and my Windows is a Vista 64 bit version. The UN/PW expired last week. I've tried every combination on this discussion page. The torrent also doesn't seem to work for that version (64 bit). Anything I can do abt this? Please help, Thanks..!

Did you install my upload of ESET v4 64-bit or somebody else's which may be a different build no.? Eset Login Viewer should work with my upload of it. At least nobody has told me otherwise. I only tested the 32-bit version myself but nobody has complained that the serials generated by Eset Login Viewer don't work for the 64 bit version I've uploaded.

Ignore the expiry date. It may initially work but you'll most likely need to use Eset Login Viewer 1.3 in conjunction with it to generate new names and serials. Again just click on my name and you'll find that torrent listed too.

Downloads and installs just fine (just like the trial version) BUT it will not update the virus database without the correct usename and password.
It's a shame cause Eset rocks...
