Hmm im not sure i understand. I have a chipped ps1 and its easy to copy games. But what exactly do you do with the ps2? I know you can chip it but ive seen that it makes a ps2 slower and takes down the quality(unless the people i know dropped their ps2 afterwards...)
Anyway i just want to find out if you can get a program to copy games so that you dont need a chipped ps2 or can you use magic swap to avoid that?
If someone has a step by step readme text or anything can they post it? I really suck at this.

This is very true because when you download any SwapMagic files the file size is about 3mb and when the original its about .99gb of space Its just not belivable that such a large file size can be downloaded in a 3mb file. You can check the iso files

the swap magic contains the same encryption/data track that $$$ony puts onto their legal DVDs. Only $ony knows how to copy that track. Home DVD burners CANNOT copy that track. that's why you need Swap Magic in the first place...
this torrent is only good if you have a chipped PS2 (modchip). Otherwise, just move along. nothing to see here.

Yep just buy swap magic disc pal & dvd and depending which ps2 you have buy the relavent bits, mine cost about £16 for my ps2 slimline for discs and switches, larger ps2 uses a slide switch

Most games now are dvd, but some old ones are pal
so use blank dvd to copy a dvd game or a blank cd if pal
Have got over 50 games and only one copy has not worked

before u bother downloading this...go to the swapmagic website! It will explain that NOT only do u need the software to make this work but u also need to order these clips to install into ur PS2 and with these clips and the software you DO NOT need to MOD chip your system..but if ur system is already MOD chipped u dont need the swapmagic!!!! rookies! I tell you what!! LOL

Wait, I dont get It Swap Magic is Used for Burned Games, Yet u want to use a MOD chip to boot SwapM. to Boot another Game? i must be missing something, cuz this not makin sense to me, but i use swapmagic for all my burned games and all work perfectly, of course i hav the original disc i bought a year ago

Right i dont even copy these games I get what people are saying about needing a modchip to play this torrent.
You do NOT need a modchip to use swapmagic,however you will need a modchip to play THIS copy of swapmagic,simply because its a COPY. There for your console will need to be chipped already which means you would not need swapmagic in the first place. So at the end of the day this torrent is a pointless download.

to install the chip and there you have it .you can simply download ps2 game and burn them with 5star game copy and enjoy ______

Most mod chips dont play burned ps1 games.. thats why u need to burn swap magic.. Its for people who got a mod chip that cant play burned ps1 games.. and IT DOES WORK!?

Every body here but "ryse-one" needs to go read about this before they say leave stupid comments!!
This is for people who have used the "Independence" exploit or have installed "FreeMcBoot" on a memory card.(which can be done MANY ways)
It allows you to run .ELF files which are basically homebrew apps that run on the PS2 through the MC. So you just take this DL and install it to the correct folder on your MC and run it on the PS2 to play backed up games.
There are alot of other .ELF files that do this also.

#32 either you're lying or you bought a modded one at a pawn shop.
What i personally did was a little research and found out how to do a swap/mcboot without buying anything, a couple threads read and you can figure out how to make your own swap discs if you got the right game. Meaning one with network options or an .elf file somewhere in it.

Ok. Lets make some things clear for some new fans there out...
1. This is a copy of Swap Magic so you need a chip modded PS2 to use this.
2. There is a reason why you should get a copy of Swap Magic even if you
got the PS2 chipped. Beacause even after the chip some games for some reason dont load on startup. Like Super Mario Collection. You need this Swap Magic afterall even with a modded PS2.
3. You should all comment to help others, not to complain!

If you have a decent modchip you do NOT need swap-magic
because a decent modchip will play anything.

Icic.. then is it possible to not swap with swap magic and instead swap it with a real game lets say... nightfire 007 when the screen goes playstation2? and in addition, this would be that i would not be able to play pal and japanese games as 007 is ntsc right?
