it dont work on windows xp
mounted it on daemon tools and says will only run on windows 95 
think the least he could of done was said this on the description, does any1 know a way round this so i can play??

i aint too clever with pc's does this setting compatibility mess with the settings or does it reset itself when you end the game? i want this game its the first ps1 game i bought and ive loved resi evil ever since!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant get hold of a ps1 anymore so this is my last option please help me out!

Does it come with an image or do i have to download one from somewhere and will alcohol 120 work with it ?? sorry asking to many questions but i really don't know.

thanx 3436 files it's clean,but it is asking for windows 95 i use xp i'll look for a way work in windows xp 32,and post here.

This is for those who can't get it to run on Windows XP.
1-when u install the game go to start>all programs>and right click the resident evil game>go to compatibilities and click select windows 95.
2-u might have to do the same for the setup...i forgot if u really have to...
3- i have tried to play this game and so far the game freezes when barry shoots the zombie in jill's scenario.... if u have any problems let me know

Yep, I froze with Jill too. Too bad, she's the one I want to play since I first played this game. But now I can get to finish it. Thanks for the upload.

tanks i fix the videos, i have no problem except the game freezes in jill's scenario but i just dont go with the zombie i try to return to the main hall until like 3 times then i return to barry an the zombie goes out with no problems-tanks to phoenix jackson for that tip

Note: Game freezes near the start of the game for Jill at one part. Follow this steps to avoid it.
1. At Dining Hall, go back to Wesker. It should take you back to the Dining Hall again.
2. Go back to Wesker again, but it won't let you.
3. Try it one more time and Barry should say "Lost courage already?"
4. Go to Barry now, a cutscene should show a zombie coming after you.
5. Have fun.
This has already been mentioned by other people so I don't take credit for it, but the steps is my own.

Hi gys got it workin fine on xp with no problems but for jill runnin around as if shes on speed any1 know how i could slow it down a little cheers thankz to the uploader.

I did everything, then after, it said that it needed to install directX 3a?
then I clicked the install button, then after it was unable to install it, then """UNABLE TO INSTALL, PLEASE REBOOT AND TRY AGAIN"""

Has anyone noticed how when you play as Jill the game is in fast forward? And then freezes at the zombie any suggestions how to stop the game being in fastforward/sped up aswell?

@MSX22, choose another driver in the settings.
This game isn't emulated, it's native Win32, but the way its engine was written it doesn't scale well to faster hardware like we have now, remember it's like 15yrs old now.. jeez times fly so damn fast. 
One possible solution is to try it on older computers (<2004) or try under an emulated/virtualized environment and maybe just maybe you'll have a decent gameplay.

The alternative for Vista (or Mac, or Linux) users is to install Win 95/98 in a virtual machine using software like Parallels, which is available on mininova. Takes about 10 minutes to install once Parallels is set up, and this game works like a charm on my Macbook.

i used vista home adition with directx 10 and this game was worked normally. but the problem is there isn't sound when i play it. does someone can help me with this??

when using vista right click the shortcut .exe click properties click compatibilty run as windows 95 run as administrator might help
hopefuly with XP you can run as windows 95 as well

Every Thing is working Superb But wht Make this Game worse is Its Fast forwarding..Which Makes Zombies Super Fast Forward n Within three- Four Bites We r Dead Meat...Then the Bosses Must be out of Question..Tried everything to slow it down but Failed..In My opinion the only way to slower it down is to buy Pentium 1 or even Back classic Pc's.. 
I was really excited that i could finally enjoy one the king of horror's..Too bad
