I am having trouble with this one...I havent been able to figure it out.
When I try to add data I get and error message:

"The DVD could not be found. Please confirm the selected drive is correct and the OnDemand5 Repair DVD is inserted.

Note: DVDs will not work in a CD drive."

I get this message when I select a specific .iso file. If I just select the external hard drive (F:\) it gives me a different error message:

"Repair data could not be found. Please confirm the location of the data and insert a Repair DVD."

I have already tried mounting as .iso, .c2d, .cue, and .bin with no change.

these work, fully tested.
as for your errors, thats because your config is bad. i found 1 of 2 ways to be the best way. either 1, assign 1 virtual drive for ALL dvds and load the disc that you need for the vehicle you intend to pull data on, or 2, create virtual drives for all 10 dvds and configure the estimator to use those drives. this software is VERY particular and if you have even 1 thing wrong, you are gonna get an error.

also, be 100% sure the disc images are labelled as they are suppose to be, if they are not so, the software won't recognise them, adn give you an error.

i don't have a full how-to but this is basically the way to do it.

1, install the virtual floppy drive, don't worry, it is compatible with ALL windows OSes. I know this, I tested its native compatibility. it even works flawlessly in Vista. Windows 7 requires that you boot into safe mode to install the port driver, but thats no big deal.
2, mount all of your DVDs in virtual drives, if you choose to mount them all, otherwise, just mount the first disc in the drive you plan to use.
3, run the install/estimator and when it comes to the disc portion, tell the installer which drives to use for your primary drive (ex.Drive E:\) then it will ask where the iindividual discs are at. at this point, you either tell the software that all the discs can be found in the same drive (ex.Drive E:\) or tell the software what the individual drives are that each disc is in.

if the disc it is looking for is not in the drive you told it that it would be, it will error and tell you the disc is not found. it WILL NOT search any other drive for the disc.

this software was pure gravy to get running.

p.s. the format of the disc image is insignificant as long as the emulator you are using to mount it can read and interpret it.

I used Alcohol 120% first with no problems, then changed to MagicDisc due to the amount of supported image formats (supports almost all in existance), and had no troubles at all there either. never tried any other emulators as they would be a waste of time;)

I also kept the floppy drive emulator in my system, its proven to be invaluable! it adds the much needed floppy support to non-legacy machines when you don't actually need the physical floppy.
