Trojan!
Win32:Trojan-gen {Other/Virus/Worm} : Hirens.BootCD.9.7.with.keyboardpatch-MaxT.dk.zip\Hiren's.BootCD.9.7.iso\HBCD\WINTOOLS\VDEFS.EXE

:) No virus. :)

The warnings are generated because Hiren's contains virus definitions.

A virusscanner needs definitions to identify viruses, but these definitions look a lot like virusses themselves.

So this torrent is safe (as long as you know what your doing, because hiren's contains some pretty powerful tools that can both fix and destroy your data/installations)

(sorry for the bad english)

those virus hits are false positives

does this version of Hiren`s boot CD support pcs with 2+gb ram?

Just when viewing the maxt.dk website McAfee blocked a trojan (I did'nt write down the name). I would make it good practice to double check the source before downloading the torrent. Regardless of whether or not the download/software itself has a virus embedded in it, the site definitely tried to put a trojan on my PC. I won't be downloading the Hirens BootCD from this source. Where to get a good copy of Hiren's, don't know, find a reputable site that knows. I'd hate to be using Hiren's on someone's PC and find that it maliciously does anything to the PC.

Trojan !!! :(

If you scan the zip you will not see this trojan!
There is a trojan in this program. I found it when I made the CD and scanned it. Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c [Kaspersky]

okdewit claims that this is just a virus definition but does not offer any justifaction for the statement. My AV says that it is a trojan and found it in a file other than vdefs.exe.... I am going to take the advice of my AV and consider it a trojan.

as mkdcomputer states , "it does not make sense to make a BootCD for repairing computers with a trojan on it."

Great Site!! Just trying to let people know when a download could cause them headaches in the future.
