I've got one the same as this, its simple to do, either mount disk image or burn to disk and install.
After install, copy the contents of the 'clips' folder from the installation files on the mounted image or disk (which ever you did) over to the 'clips' folder in the installation directory where you installed it. Then just simply run the program using 'setup' (traffic light icon) which is in the installation directory where you installed it. Just create a shortcut to your desktop to cut out the inconvenience of going through folders to get to it when ever you want to use it.
Simple, worked for me.

Kiddah's advive was spot on.
Run the program from the file SETUP file(on your local disk)after you have carried out the install AND copied over the clips.
Works fine for me.
cheers !

Fantastic, good work. Would love to know how you learned how to redirect the clip files to the new folder, to get the software working.
Tx.

Actually, this software download is useless, even after doing all the suggested ammendments to the folder data every functional button you click requests the C.D.
The hazard perception and learn theory aspects of the real software does not work. You can practice doing mock theory tests.

READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONFUSED IT TOOK ME 2 DAYS!!!!
its really simple. all you have to do is go into C:\\ ProgramFiles
then driving test theory. click on clips and then open up the torrent folder where you downloaded the torrent and copy the clips folder from the torrent location into the one in program files.
if you dont have the clips folder from your download you need to use daemon tools or power iso. they extract from the rar files to create the setup.exe clips folder and flash folder.

daemon tools is well complicated i didnt get it at all. i think it stopped working after version 4 was released or something. i used power iso. its pretty easy to extract the clip folder and setup.exe that you need with power iso. you just drag the stuff you downloaded into power iso and click extract.
i put it onto my desktop. it made a clips folder for me and the setup.exe
do the setup from your desktop then open up program files driving theory clips and paste the clips folder from power iso into the one in program files. then launch driving theory from program files NOT FROM YOUR DESKTOP!!! it should work fine.

Thanks....I've got my theory test next Wednesday
so this will help me a lot....
Here is how I did it: on windows XP
1. Extract the files using WINRAR on the same folder.
2. Click on Setup to install the software.
3. Make sure you have the latest flash player and DotNetFrameWork...this will be included in the extracted files....Folder: Flash Player and Utility.
4. After fully installing everything go to Start, My computer, Local disk, Program Files, Driving Theory Test Professional, you will see CLIPS folder, delete that folder and replace it with the CLIPS folder from the extracted file(the file that you extracted earlier)
5. Then click on setup traffic icon (C:\Program Files\Driving Theory Test Professional)
But the Hazard and perception part does not work.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Thanks.

Instead of all going on about how well it works on XP, how about helping some people helping out those of us who unfortunatly have Vista! I have Vista but it won't work on mine, so can anyone help or are there just going to be a load of other comments on how well it works on XP?

Thanks 2 uploader and rest for helpfull info. I had a lot of trouble with this on my old xp comp even with doing all the information above. I now have installed it on my laptop with vista but what i did different was to not run the application staight after install.just close it then copy the contents of the 'clips' folder from the installation files over to the 'clips' folder in the installation directory where you installed it,delete the original clips folder if it still appears. i found on the xp that you cant copy it so just open the folders side by side and drag into it. Then just simply run the program using 'setup' (traffic light icon) which is in the installation directory where you installed it. Just create a shortcut to your desktop.i hope this helps it is working perfect on my vista system now with no need for a cd, i will try to resolve the problem on my xp if i come up with any thing will get back.

Can anyone tell me which image I need to mount with Daemon Tools in order to get it to run. I copied all the clips from the download to the program files folder but it still asks me to install CD.
27.Posted by krazykizza on Sep 05 2009 at 22:56
Managed to install. HPT doesn't work but theory does. When I finished the test it asked me for the CD! I need help with this, how do I go on from there?

There is no crack for this torrent and mounting the image is not enough to get this program to work. Stay clear of it as it's a waste of time.
