Thanks for this upload, it installs fine, but I still get the message about using a cracked copy.
I've disabled all automatic updates except virus definitions like advised above to see if this works to get rid of the annoying message, by going to:
TOOLS / ADVANCED SETTINGS / SCHEDULES / SCHEDULED SCAN is ENABLED / VIRUS DATABASE UPDATE is ENABLED / PROGRAM UPDATE SCHEDULE is NOT ENABLED / ANTI SPAM UPDATE SCHEDULE is NOT ENABLED.
I'll post agin in the next day or two with the results, I hope this works.

Installed and used key works fine
but it says the resident shield is not active
but I then opened mozzila firefox and the resident shield
detected a tracking cookie.

AdoLfus - just pick one of the many keys in the package dont use the one that automatically comes up well thats what i did and works for me.

hi guyz and gurlz....for the pirated copy popup....i think you can resolve this by stoppin avg from upgrading from primary server and let it upgrade from backup server so what i did is delete the primary url link and leave the backup url link.....i was told to do this with a older version of avg....so i,ll post result sometime today or in a couple of dayz

open the interface, so you have all icons showing... (ie: in 3 rows of 3)
double click license, and click "re-activate"
will then come up with a box with 3 text lines, your name in top, dont bother woth company, and delete the keygen in the bottom box... then copy and paste the 1st keygen from the list that comes with this download into the bottom box...and click on activate. that should work.. x

another way of removing the (annoying) pop up is by going to tools on the menu bar and click advanced settings. go to URL on the update settings on advanced settings. disable only update primary server. that should remove the pop up.

But on the popup it says that if I don't buy the full version, my version of AVG will stop functioning correctly, and will no longer recieve updates. Then it continues to say that I have till the 31st March, to replace it, its pass that date, and will I still recieve updates and have AVG function correctly?

For everyone having problems,try disconnecting internet service until setup is complete. (Including "Advanced Settings" fix as mentioned by #59.If you stop this program from communicating with the internet while installing and performing the fixes it should work just fine!

i dl & installed this software...it's working, updating + the license is upto 2018... great work uploader...
but my problem is, Avg has detected most of my Softwares such as My HP printer's software,windows media player, Internet explorer, Nero & all my video converters(xilsoft ultimate, Auto GK ,ect)as virusus & it has dleted or moved the ".exe" files to the vault or W@ever & now most of my programs r not working...i think it's detecting ol da pirated softwares as viruses or some stupid vrus has made all my .exe files viruses..so can some one pls pls pls help me??how can i use Avg without harming or detecting my important softwares as viruses?? Good, clean download, I am running it (on Vista) for a few days already. So far - no glitches. Accepts updates & does what previous version of AVG did. Oh, yeah, it takes over Firewall function in Windows after it is installed I know it is a bit sketchy to trust your computer to a "non-legal" software It is OK, it even asks the user to allow programs from your computer to access Internet.

All I had to do was continually pressing the "update now" button until it finished download and prompted me to restart pc/laptop....

when installing a anti virus program make sure you make a system restore before that just in case the program has a virus it could save your computer

ok guys here how it works if you switch it to just backup update server. the main server detects the license if its a fake or not so when you open your browser you see pirated blah blah blah. while the backup server doesn't check it all. sorry for triple posting actually I first posted it here for justin2007 (comment37),(comment 46) until kamui101 (comment 59) spread it (not boasting). so I repeat it again.
1. Go to advance settings
2. url
3. disable primary server
4. then just click ok

everyone it works fine..i just finished download and installing it..advice? well first off all UNINSTALL YOUR OLDER ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM then double click "avg_iswt_stf_en_85_281a1448.exe"
1.choose the license keys that are not used..the two keys that has * signs before the number are used..so dont use those keys..use the other ones..ANY KEYS EXPECT FOR THE USED ONES
2.copy paste the chosen license key on the window that asks for the owner name,computer company, and license key.
3.go through the configuration process..if the wizard says restart computer then restart your computer..
4.it is also good to have your internet connection while installing since the install wizard would ask if you want to update..and you do

i'd using avg InSec 8.5 for 2 month...
it works fine in starting...
after a while, it start to warn me about my illegal copy...
i just ignore it due to busy working on something else...
but yesterday it comes that i cannot connect to internet...
it says my username didn't match the password...
i never change the connection setting...
and i suspect that its avg's work...
the avg state that no program available...
all av, as, frewall not working...
i did uninstall the avg and run ccleaner...
but the problem never solve...
please help me...
at least i can connect to my internet back...

Follow up to comment 113:
I just installed this and it works perfectly. First I disabled all antivirus/antispam and disconnected from internet before running the .exe file
Don't worry about the update during installation, you can do that afterwards.
I just followed the configuration wizard. Restart if asked.
Do not run any updates yet after the program is installed.
Open up AVG control center, go to
- Tools,
- Advanced Settings,
- Update,
- URL
- uncheck "update primary server"
I guess the primary server detects the fake license so when you open your browser you see the "pirated notice" while the backup server doesn't check it.
I ran updates afterwards.
My license says it expires in 2018.

It seems to only get up to 41% in the extraction process--and I have a LOT of memory available. Would you happen to know why this may be?

All i want to know is if these keys work JUST for the ID Protection or to I have to uninstall my current copy for it to work properly?

852 download and more are coming but their is not one comment on it to say if its a fake or no good or if it has a virus. come on guys we have to know these thing.
