In other words, the cast and crew own a percentage of the films gross, so the profits are not going to Hollywood executives but instead into the pockets of the filmmakers themselves. respect to the write/direct of this film for being brave enough to release this on p2p all i can say is GOOD LUCK ..:-)
and i hope you do well and make a good name for yourself and maybe just maybe the fat cats in boringwood might sit up and note that you have hit upon a good idea instead of worring about how much ***** they make from the next load of dross they spew out .....

Wow this an unprecendented thing we have here. A movie studio just releasing a film for free. I know a lot of Downloaders wouldn't mind throwing $5 there way for a good movie.

I knew it was only a matter of time, I have been pushing bands to give their music for free.. NIN is doing well with it.... I lost my business recently but if I like the movie, I will donate, actually I will probably donate $5 anyway hoping he makes a lot of ***** so that others will follow. Thanks Rick! This is the way its meant to be, the producers, writers, editors et cetera working together with the p2p networks.
Thanks for releasing this film Rick, I'll be keeping my eye out for other releases and films by you and Anadam in the future, and I will certainly be donating.
Remember people, the only way this can work is if we, the downloaders, support those that create these pieces of art.
I'll download this as soon as its past 20:00 GMT, as my ISP gets a bit iritated by how much I download On-Peak, mustn't grumble though, Unlimmited Off-Peak downloads is ok with me

A great day for P2P I don't really care if I enjoy this movie, the unique way it is being funded means it deserves the support of all us downloaders to show we are not just pirates who want a free film. We are the future of the film industry, Ignore us at your peril fight us you will lose.

Huge respect for Rick and Annodam Films, this is a great step in the right direction you guys are taking. Hopefully the time IS now, and this is a big success. Will be downloading as soon as i can, being stuck on wireless in Australia is frustrating, to say the least. Expect a donation here, if it's decent.

Respect of the highest order for anyone involved in the production/release of this film. The concept albeit not new is how most indie entertainment should be released. Makers get complete control of use/rights earns an honest wage and I’m using that term loosely as I know they are those that earn an honest wage outside of this situation and embraces p2p (which is obviously a HUGE market for indie's) rather than alienating it.
Hats off, downloading now and will seed thee hell outta it.

Even though I have implemented this release on a pay what you want basis, the donations so far are not sufficient enough to warrant not signing with one of the five distribution offers still on the table.
I mean realistically with only .25% 
of the p2p network users actually taking the time to make a donation for the cause. I am wondering what the other 99.75% are thinking. While BLANK is not a bug budget blockbuster film and has as of yet had either a love it or hate it audience. The release is more about the possibilities of p2p as a viable means of distribution.
I only hope that the donations pick up and we can be a success because if we do not succeed this could be a great setback for peer to peer film releases. The last thing I want to do is hear the Hollywood executives saying, I told you so.

If i wasn't capped id be downloading this right now. Its good to see there are some film makers out there that don't whine about the internet because its different and not the ***** train that they are used to, and actually try to embrace it. Hopefully more of the film industry will follow suit but i doubt it because greed will always be in the way.
