Episode 1 was always going to be a bit plain it fills in the story. Hopefully the next episode will have even more laughs =D

Lol @ number 10. I am a huge Red Dwarf fan and was in the audience for many of the shows original recordings. These episodes do nothing for the show at all. I'm willing to reserve final judgement until I see the final episode later on and my comment earlier was merely saying to post #2 'I'll say what I like thanks'.
Your pointless babble did make me laugh though. Thanks a lot. The grammar made me vomit a bit, but I'll get over that.

from what ive read budget for the 3 episodes were small
dave the channel that commissioned it have high figures for there re runs and are usuing as a basis to see if the fan base and viewer figures for the show would be worth commishioning new seasons

Thing is you can babble on about how sad it is but I don't care. It IS missing the canned laughter...theres no denying it. The jokes are as good as they've always been tho... the cat casually coming out of the wormhole was funny? I thought anyway. Oops spolier. lol.

@ Koves - There's no canned laugh-track because 'Dave' is a British channel and the Brits don't use it. Laugh-tracks are only used by American networks, who think we're too dumb to recognise funny on our own

A10 V10 - Though I agree canned laughter is often over used some of the greatest British comedies have used it successfully (Im alan Partridge). Also the Americans make great comedies with (Seinfeld) and without (Larry Sanders). Unfortunately like anything else the good stuff is in that 2%, the rest is often inane, but there must be a market
