I like your comment post 1. Very enlightening. People assume that Jesus died for their sins. The biggest lie of the century. If he did, why during his last hours, before his death did he ask the people around him to pick up a sword. He knew those that were coming for him were not coming to have dinner with him. They were coming to do him harm. That does not sound like one that gave his life up freely. After he figure that they would die because of being out-numbered then is when he ask them to put down their swords. Did he not go to the garden, get down on his knees and cry. Wow. We misunderstand religion. So if my son goes to jail for stealing I should be the one at fault. Wow. While he was on the cross and he looked up to heaven asking God to let what was happening to him be passed. That does not sound like one who gave his life for our sins. Sounds like the man wanted to save his life and wanted God "The Father" to spare his life. Wow.

The plot thickens. HeHe. Shall I continue. Yes I shall. Since religion has destroyed the world we know lets ponder on this. You brain washer keep harping on Jesus died for hour sins. If I lived before Jesus was even born, did not know him or had a chance to confess him, what is God going to do for me in the here after. I tried to live my life according to the devine teachings of Allah, God, The Father or what ever you decide to call him. Hell it is the same person. Wake up! I did not know this loving saviour that you called Jesus but tried to live my life right and treat others to the best of my ability what is God going to do with me after I die. Answer that question you religious theologist.

I have never heard of anyone coming back from death to say if they made it to heaven or hell. Has anyone came back from heaven saying that the Christianity is the only religion that will get you into heaven. What if someone came back to say that the true religion is Islam or Hinduism and Islam or Hinduism is the path that will get you into the pearly gates. NOW WhAT? Stop treating others of different faiths as if they work for the devil. Treat others with respect and learn from other religions. I am kind to those that are kind to me. I have found more love and mutual respect from those that don't get down from religion than any person who professes that Jesus is the way.

Well said pfunk360. I do, however, want to add that the Quran spoke highly of Jesus Christ as one of the great prophets. Among them are Adam, Noah, Moses, Solomon, Mohammad (PBUH), etc. Although Christians claim that Jesus is God, there are times when they say Jesus prayed to the Holy Father. How can Jesus be the son of God and God at the same time. Allah has no partners. Jesus said he has to leave so that the next prophet can come along [Mohammad (PBUH)].
And Jusus will be asked by God on the day of resurrection "Did you tell man to worship three Gods; yourself, your mother and the spirit?" and he will say no.
Remember this quote always Christians: "Hear ye O Isreal. Love thy Father with all thy heart and all thy soul"

You do realize you are basically trying to deny everything Christianity stands for, right? Whether Jesus died voluntarily or not is not the point. Since no man is sinless, we now have an opportunity to conquer death through Christ, as long as we believe.
Denying that Jesus died for our sins means that you think you can earn your way to heaven by your own doing. Christ teaches that this is false because all humans are sinful and thus cannot achieve true divinity by themselves. Jesus' death was meant to pay that price, so that now, as a bunch of good-for-nothings, we can fight our own corrupted nature in order to be with him once again when the time has come. You may believe differently, but please don't push your view of 'the truth' on me. That's just... disrespectful.

People, we are not in war all we need is peace how can we attain peace if we don't have understanding? understand everything we have and everything they have... religion don't teach bad things.... all we have is to understand what my religion do to me and what is this... read and read and even read.. Jesus said He is the WAY. in what way.. God sent his messages to a person that can be trusted... as prophet.. he is the WAY in a sense that God cannot appear to everyone, every person to give his messages, he selected Jesus as his messenger to give messages to people BUT people under estimated Jesus, they think that Jesus get the attention of everyone(people in high ranking position) in preaching the laws of Supreme Being.... IF YOU THINK JESUS AS GOD THEN HE IS THE WAY, he is the way bcause GOD(messages) to Jesus(as prophet/messenger) and then to people.... tnx again

This message is for so called Christians, Jesus did not die on the cross at all the whole story is a fabrication and a lie to control mass population if u did not noticed Jews were masters with it when Moses was around the false story of being chosen and promised land that was never found and then it did not work so they manufactured Jesus story, however such person was real and among us in the past but he did not die on the cross but moved to south of France with his wife Magdalene and children!

And if u may have noticed it is easy to create a believe system and have followers regardless of the truth of the matter. If u do not trust me ask yourself why do u believe pharmaceutical drugs and treatments they r like your prophets with good label but toxic long term effects! So the show must go on and it does, the hard liners Christians with their leaders in funny costumes along side with all religious freaks that r related to it, Muslim and Jewish have been terrorizing this planet for long time, so the question is not who is real terrorist but who is supporting them with false believes.

Wake up, God does not need messengers or prophets, those who have hidden agenda create them and force them upon weak and young spirits that can be easy manipulated as children can with a lolly pop or chocolate. False promises r sold to children and they never grow up,conditioned to believing in the same false promises in religion!

Christ is a cosmic spirit not a person many people did receive Christ consciousness for many reasons but this is another story where Jesus was one of them and many do receive and awake this consciousness with in them we all can do it without believing in tragic stories but by being free of attachments this is what Jesus story really talks about and indeed it has been well manufactured and sold but least understood!

edege, human beings are fools, and over time they began to worship idols and stupid things. It was to guide them back to the truth that God sent them prophets, for He is the Most Merciful and Most Just.
and everyone who believes that religion is destructive and everyone who follows them are stupid fools, are extremely ignorant fools themselves and they are following that idea blindly themselves.
v3rtigo, if a man harms others and does wrong his entire life, while believing in Christianity and loving Jesus, but he dies without repenting, he can still enter Paradise because Jesus died for his sins?

someone needs to study the teachings of ahmed deedat. Did Jesus fulfill the sign of jonah. If he did then he died if he didn't then he didn't die. As Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights, was Jesus in the heart of earth for three days and three nights. Why do they distinquish the day from night. Wow. Supposedly he died on Fri night (one night), sat(one day) and sun morning (not even half a night), because when they came to the tomb he was already gone. So we have one day and one and a half night. Times to not match up.

I know I sat in the back of the class but if jonah was in the belly of the whale for three daylight days and then three can't see dark nights that does not match up with the so-called death of Jesus and the resurrection. Jesus did not fulfill it. Did he not meet people on a path and he told him if I was dead and a God would I have holes in my hands or feet. Something to that nature. Oh I know you just have to have faith, regardless if it does not make any since and we Christian don't know what we are talking about. We wonder why our children lie to us. Hell we do it.

HOW? HOW CAN ONE BECOME A TRUE CHRISTIAN?????? A TRUE ??? VERY VERY TRUE? IF IF ONE CANNOT OBEY THE TEACHING OF JESUS AS SCRIBE IN THE "HOLY" BIBLE.. READ MARK 16 verse 1 to verse 20: and I quote; Mark 16: [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
[18] They shall take up serpents; and if they "DRINK any deadly(POISON)" thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
IS THIS THE TEACHING OF JESUS WHY DON'T YOU DRINK POISONOUS LIQUID SO THAT WE CAN SEE...WHAT WILL HAPPEN

If we are talking about religion...
The moral guidelines from the Bible are very useful but without the dogma and all the other filler.
The existence of heaven and hell, and the afterlife makes people live like robots doing what the priests, government, ... tell them to do (is permitted). By doing that they give away their power of decision at the same time as the responsibility for their own actions.
We are all accountable for our actions, then why higher casts exist?
Superior humans as it where: police, government, clergy...
Who has the right to execute a death sentence? No one, never !!!

Man.........just when I thought I was FINALLY reading a "comment" that made some kind of sense. That formed, and then expounded upon a cohesive pattern of thought. And from someone who could spell, actually use punctuation properly and understands the concept of "word usage".

With respect to you, you are all mistaken in your thinking. Each of you chaps need to know the following:
•God loves you
•Sin separates you from God
•Jesus died for your sins
•You can be saved by confessing Jesus is Lord
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

WOW I have learned "ALOT" form the first few comment rather all of them and I dont know what to believe is so hard when things conflict and at age 34 i feel i should have been grounded in faith by now.. Can you relate? I just wish no harm to others; hoping its like wise.

I do have agree with this article that followers of Jesus must read the Bible entirely please, and understand clearly what is written...
I have researched that Christ is not a name but a title because Christ comes from a Greek word Christos which means "anointed" and it must be Jesus God: God as his family name... not Jesus Christ, as we adopt that First Name and then Family Name..
Also that Jesus said in the books of [1 Corinthian 3:8] Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
[Mathew 7:1] Judge not, that ye be not judged.
[Mathew 7:2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
[Deuteronomy 24:16] The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
