Tested this out
1-install good
2-Make recovery disk--good
3-Create image--good
4-Verify image--good
6-explore image--good
7-restore image to new drive--good
8-would venture to say no problem with this.

Most of the bad comments are from people who don't rtfm
If rescue disc boots but will not load apps hit F11 on acronis menu and enter additional linux boot commands - a combination of 1 or more of the following will boot 99% of machines:
acpi=off noapic pci=nobios
There are more but you can look them up yourselves you lazy *******

Installed and works fine thanks. Silent install. I double-clicked the icon and nothing seemed to happen. I closed the window and noticed a shortcut on my desktop...the program. I have not struck that before. Backs up quickly.

Does anybody want to comment if this works fully? Other Acronis 2009 torrents have comments saying that even though it will work fully within windows, when you create a bootable rescue disc and boot off it, then try to restore an image, it will not work.
Maybe this one will work 100%, does anybody care to make a drive image, format their hard drive, then drive to restore?
I might try this tomorrow on one of my old computers that needs wiping, I'll make an image, format, then try to restore image and see what happens.
