I will try MAGIC DISC. To Setsuna00: I'm using poweriso and its mounts, but securom blacklists it. To dimmy32: That's good to know. I'm still running 7100, but i'm waiting till the RTM comes out to reformat again.
THE GAME-COPY-WORLD CRACK GERMAN 1.0 WORKS!, not sure if it causes problems though. Oh, and patch 1.0.2 is out.

SecuRom detected magic disk too. I uninstalled poweriso. Anyone know of a antisecurom tool that doesn't need daemon like YASU does? Maybe a real no-cd will be out soon- I sure hope.

well i applied the game copy world crack and there's no FADE problem or whatever. Game plays great. Only a few problems: I get a "cannot find bin/blah blah.cfg file" in every screen of the menu and the campaign doesn't load.

I'm downloading for a halfday and a night now, and its only at 40%.
BTW my upload is at unlimited, and when I'm done I'll upload for atleast a few weeks. don't wanne be a part of slow downloads for other people.

Ok I tried using the German 1.0 NoCD crack which is easily found online and it seems to work so far.
I done the training missions however I found this game to have a lot of input lag. (moved my mouse and a few noticeable milli seconds later my cursor would move) I tried changing all graphics settings and then cursor response settings with no change, It feels like the cursor is moving through thick oil which is really annoying especially because I am used to the instant and precise response from CS:S and CoD4.
Maybe this is due to me using a NoCD crack, Im not sure, but what I do know is that this game does not feel really good.
Does anyone else have a similar feel when looking around with the mouse?.

I have not downloaded this file yet - but thanks to the uploader for sharing.
Just wanted to let you guys know that there is an official demo of this game over at fileplanet (2 Giga Bytes) and what i am doing is giving the demo a good go first so that i know if any of these torrent releases are working as they should.
Just an idea!
Let's face it - all pc games are buggy at first and are patched up as the community screams abuse at the developers - LOL.
It is a very ambitious and huge gaming environment in ARMA 2 and after all the patching ends we may just have the ultimate real world war simulator.
Here's hoping they can pull it off!!!!

The mouse lag is not just your problem, And is not from the crack. I have it myself (not the 1st game i have such a thing), and there's lots..and i mean LOTS, of people complaining about it in the official forum.
I pretty much installed the game, went to training, moved around for 5min, tried changing video options ingame, and in nvidia control panel..didn't fix it..uninstalled... hate mouse lag issues.

Oh and they suggest we turn off "Enhance pointer precision" in the Control Panel's Mouse Settings... doesn't fix the fact that the game itself has a **** input, but they say it helps a bit. I'd try it buy like i said i uninstalled already.

OK heres how i got it working without FADE:
*install game using daemontools
*download fixed image and YASU from gamecopyworld
*mount fixed image with daemon, start yasu
*start original arma2.exe from folder

main thing is, do not use cracked exe, it will activate fade.

strange, I was able to run the game after patching using just the CD image that came with this torrent, without having to use a fixed image people usually get from no cd crack.com. But with FADE, i've heard it can also be activated from a false or cracked serial number.
For people who doesnt know what FADE is, its a DRM that came with the game file and use to detect pirated vision of the game. Once it does, FADE will deteriorate your game play by dramatically decreases your shooting accuracy and other stuff that will eventually hinder you from playing the game properly.

I have spent the last four hours trying to get this game working. Installing it wasn't a problem at all. But when I tried to play the game, I got all these messages saying different things from SecuRom. I tried mounting the image with all kinds of programs (daemon tools pro/lite, power iso, magic iso and so on), but no luck. Tried using YASU with daemontools, didn't work either. I even tried that, but with different versions of the programs. Tried installing a fixed image (http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_arma_2.shtml#ARMA%20II%20[GERMAN]%20No-DVD/Fixed%20Image), and followed the exact instructions, but no luck. Tried patching it to the newest version, no luck. If somebody is getting this game working, how the hell do you do it? And be kind to tell us what version of what program you are running (yasu, daemon etc). I am running windows xp home, if that is any help

grookus, I did do that. I installed the game with daemontools, downloaded a fixed image from gamecopyworld plus yasu. mounted the fixed image with daemon, cloacked it with yasu, ran arma2.exe from the folder I installed it in. Didn't *****g work What versions do you use of daemon tools and yasu?

unrar the itw-arma2.r00 file, then download the lastest version of daemon tools from "http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads", open itw-arma2.mdf with the program downloaded and install the game.
Then you can play..... but I've downloaded the german crack (that sometimes crashes, see #104) and I can do only the tutorials!

Alright so, I'm not a noob torrent guy, and I usually don't have problems, and I rarely require help... BUT... With this huge game that I downloaded, I got a problem.
Like many that has posted previously, the SecuROM block me from playing the game... Now... all I see in comments is... go to gamecopyworld and download the fixed image, blablabla...
Now, I know what is gamecopyworld, and on their site, I only see GERMAN fixed exe, and I'm not german, nor is my version of the game as I installed it in french.
Anyone can help? Do you have a french or english fixed image please?

I use ARMA II [GERMAN] No-DVD/Fixed Image from gamecopyworld, daemon tools pro 4.30.0305.0077 and yasu v1.6.9040, windows7 too. Maybe it dont work with dt lite? Or try turn emulations on/off from dt menu.

I too have tried what post 86 describes (with the fixed image from GCW, latest version of DT Lite and YASU) and it tells me that SecuROM has detected emulator software.
I've read on other forums that we may have to wait for a newer version of YASU, but does anyone here have any faster ideas?

I just tried again with DT Pro 4.30 and it gave me the same error it did while using DT Lite (I've also tried two different cloaking add-ons, YASU and DTE).

OK I found solution:

If you have the "WRONG CD KEY" error, just follow the steps above (MADE BY DIRTFOX).
1-Start -> Run -> regedit -> go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 -> rename the "KEY" registry to "KEY_OLD".
2-Right-click on the white space -> New -> Binary Value -> rename to "KEY" and let it null. dont close the regedit yet.
3-install the patch 1.02. it can take several minutes.
4-when its done, go back to registry. Rename the "KEY" (null) to "KEY_NULL" or something else, and rename the old "KEY_OLD" to "KEY" again. Now you can close the regedit (:

I installed the german .exe fix and the game works, except when I play there is always a message that pop up during the pause menus, or everytime I start a new solo mission etc, it say missing config file of something etc... I didn't try much, but at least the game itself started.

THE GAME WORKS WITH DAEMON TOOLS AND YASU ALONE.
STEPS: (FOLLOW THESE EXACTLY.)
* Install the game - Full Installation.
* Mount the ARMA2.MDS Mini-Image in DAEMON Tools Lite v4.30.4.
* Use an anti-blacklisting tool, like Y.A.S.U v1.6.9040, to to avoid blacklisting of virtual drive(s).
* After cloaking terminate Y.A.S.U using the Task Manager (Don't use the 'Terminate YASU' window that will pop up, but wait for the End Task window -> End now)
* Play the Game!

NOTE : ONLY WORKS WITH DAEMON TOOLS LITE 4.30.4(not even 4.30.1) and YASU 1.6. Get these from Gamecopyworld.

How To Use Y.A.S.U.:
Copy the YASU exe file into the Daemon Tools installation folder. Run Daemon Tools and mount the image. Open YASU and Click "CLOAK". Then Terminate it as given in the Steps.

My 9600GT ****ed at the game, and i've recently upgraded a 4890 1GB and framerates increased alot and im able to run everything high.
Perhaps its your PC hardware?

Sorry guys you can't play this game and who says that the game works fine,is lying.It has mouse lag and game lags,unless you have a brand new i7 processor.This game doesn't support dual core processors yet.And for full in game details you need at least nvidia 280 gtx.Otherwise the game runs,stops,runs,stops and so on,it's so disturbing.Torrent works fine on other hand,patch goes through smoothly and aplied crack is easy.Deleting game for a few days of trying to play.My Dualcore 7300 is not enough to run game properly.So if it's your game laggy,don't worry it's not securom,but this game is a processor killer.To bad,graphics are really something!

I hope everyone pirates the hell out of this buggy ****py game. Guys, there are lots of good versions of this game. Pirate away! If you want to play it online, just find the hamachi servers that people host. It's as good as the real thing. You can also use the downloadable demo for online play, and the torrented game for all the single player.
I actually bought this game and I regret it now. It's so buggy, so poorly optimised, and the campaign is so short. The multiplayer is also pretty boring with far too many matches are just like Counterstrike with nothing new. Save your *****, pirate this game and wait for Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising.

The FADE system just seems to have activated!!
FADE DRM basically activates when it detects a pirated copy and eventually makes the game unplayable.
It activates like about 2 hours after first detecting a crack or mod and then starts removing features one by one!!
It also adds a hell lot of bugs which makes it unplayable after a while.
(Common Symtoms:Accuracy Problems , Really Terrible AI Problems , Problems With The Advancement System Etc.)
SO THE GUYS USING PIRATED COPIES LIKE THIS WILL REALLY FIND THIS GAME TO SLOWLY DEGRADE AND BECOME UNPLAYABLE AFTER A WHILE.

Guys, if you have problems with CD-Key invalid while patching to 1.02, simply use this CD-Key:

No registry edit, no language pack hack.
And I confirm AcidGuy23 method (post 135) to be working. Use the latest versions of these tools.
I can't confirm if FADE kicks in however.

It seems YASU doesn't work with USB sticks or other external media storages in certain cases.
I just tried to fire ARMA2 with a ReadyBoost USB stick and it popped a protection window on start. I Removed my stick and it worked back.

i've been playing the single player missons and believe me: go and buy the damn thing because i wont like the game if you only play single player, this game is just like battlefield 2(network wise), is all about Multiplayer and by the way the game will only run higher the 15 FPS on top systems Quad core Nvidia's 9 series or newer, sure the bugs are there and anyone can notice them but this game has a huge potential.

Don't know about you but this game looked really good on review, and now after reading all your comments I'm thinking twice.
IF you download this and you want it to run but its looking for the cd in the drive, sometimes i turn my dvd drive off (disable) in the device manager so that the game thinks that the image drive like daemon toolz or the like, is the actual drive.
Doesn't always work but i thought id put that in there so you can try it.
I have had success with this method over the years.

i managed to get as far as the start menu of the game,
lowered the settings,
the game asked me to restart the game to apply settings,
did that
now its telling me to enter the original cd and not a back up
****........
yasu 1.6 doesn't seem to help,
daemon 4.30.40027 doesn't help either
its a pity, i was this close to playing it sighhhh
