Will i have probles with graphics in this game? In RIPs i was downloading there was always problems. Graphics or anything. Im limited with downloads, so i dont want spend 1GB for nothing.

No bekobeko, The cutscenes are NOT low res.If you click on general information, it'll tell you, NOTHING is ripped. Its just quality compressing and once you run "setup.bat" the game files will be rebuilt and will give you the installed size of the game.

I installed the game and everything works fine...except that ingame in the beginning the soldiers don't move and when I go to the right flank I wait and see no enemies!! So i can't play.
I got vista ,ati radeon hd 3650,core 2 duo intel, pretty much up-to-date.
What can I do?

I've got exactly the same problem as d4nth3m4n #34. The menu text and subtitles in the game are all messed up and impossible to read. Looking on comments about TPTB release on the other sites I can see that there are some people reporting this problem too. Anyone menaged to fix it?

mine is nvidia 9600 gt. drivers version 185.85. i'm going to check this release today on my friends' geforce 8600gts with some older drivers and see if there is any difference

About the menu corruption, i tried install the fonts in the C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\My Documents\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood\Data\Panel and didn't work.

I was having the same problem as everyone else, Bad Text and Menu display .
I unrared, installed and deleted the game several times, but it just didn't work. I even applied the latest windows updates, installed fonts.
However, I tried for once more and guess what, its working 
.
Just follow the steps and cross your fingers.
1. If the game is already installed then,
a) Delete the game folder.
b) Delete the game from registry.
(On Run Command Box and type Regedit,
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Techland
Delete the complete Techland key and its subfolders)
c) Delete the saved games from My Documents.
2. Now, Extract the game with "7-Zip" (I was trying with "Winrar" in all my previous attempts)
3. Run Setup.bat as written in the torrent. (Btw I installed in 'E:\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood')
4. Play the game.
Hope this solves the issue for most of you guys. The game is finally working

I've just followed these steps in exactly the same order as you described and unfortunately there's still the same problem. I also turned off anti-virus before running setup just in case but still no luck....AAAARRGHHHH!!!!

Finally! After 89324 attempts on Installation/UN I thought it's the time to try another system and guess what... It worked on the first attempt .
Just try to install it on different directory or even another PC, my crash.log was showing that some textures were missing... so I guess something's wrong with TPTB compressor.
P.S : Just don't give up

I dont know dude, I didnt have SP3 so I applied that patch, installed fonts etc. But that didnt help.
The 2 things that I did differently in my final installation were
1) Deleting saved games folder from My Documents.
2) Unzipping with 7-Zip.
If you didn't miss out on these 2 steps, then I don't know how to help you.

I believe you all encountered the same problem I'm having, namely a partly installed game. The culprit seems to be the command "tptb.dll x -y datapcf.tptb". I'v tried to decompress this file manually with FreeArc but it keeps on giving me a CRC error (99.9%) ! Unzipping with Winrar, 7-zip and Winzip did not solve my problem; and either way unzipping the file "datapcf.tptb" never gave me any errors.
Is there anyone - who was successful in installing this game - willing to create some PAR files (one can use QuickPar for this purpose) for this particular file "datapcf.tptb"; and have them uploaded somewhere ?
btw: I started installing manually since I only got about 2.3 Gb in my game directory while the setup stated that it would take up 3.1 GB!!!
Thanks in advance for those PAR files. Maybe a suggestion for the uploader: add a recovery record for the larger files...

For me this game worked fine after 18 hours of rigorous installation and uninstallation. Just try again and again but MAKE SURE to REMOVE ANY TRACE OF PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED GAME.
Its probably just luck for me but keep trying guys and look at posts 65 and 69, they might help.
Its an awesome game, gr8 cover system and graphics.

I dont know what you meant by use QuickPar(I downloaded it and used it, it created some recovery blocks and said that the file was undamaged). However I have uploaded the supposedly error free Datapcf file. Try with it.

I deleted everythig related to Call Of Juarez from registry and my documents and after that I used 7-Zip to unzip the file into the same directory that you used. FIXED! decompressed on my 5yr old's pentium 4 .... when yer finished , file size should be 3.23gb.. disable screensaver!
i have no idea why it wouldn't decompress on my quad core..

I gave a copy of zip file to my friend to see if his computer can unpack the game properly. After decompression and running COJ2 he didn't have any problems with missing in-game text. His game folder was about 3,2 GB. He also says that he fought many duels in the game and there wasn't any problems so if anyone have this kind of issue I recommend to check the size of game folder too.
I'm going to replace my game folder with his and I'm nearly 100% sure that this will solve my problems.
I'm just guessing that some hard drives are more likely to handle decompressing TPTB release properly while some other hard drives may need multiple tries or may never unpack all of the game files without errors.

Hey all, installed this game twice and had the choppy, unreadable text in the menus. I checked my game folder and saw that it was only around 2,7gb, though it is supposed to be around 3,2gb.
After my third try, my folder finally reached that 3,2gb and my game worked!! So don't delete right away if it doesn't work for you at first, it'll take a couple of tries probably something wrong with the way the installer was set-up, but hey, we only had to download 1gb

I finally got the game installed; phew. What I did ? I have 2 memory modules in my PC (different manufacturers), and I switched them...
Final installation gives me 3.25 GB for the game directory. Crucial installation steps are: 25%, 35%, 55% and 60%. If you see those steps skipping almost immediately, then it got wrong ?!
My personal feeling: FreeArc is pretty memory sensitive, stable-wise.
If I find some time, I'll create some PAR-files to get past those steps.

The game works perfectly until now (end of Act 1) ! The setup decompression was flawlessy and I used WinRAR ! Runs smoothly at high settings @ 1280 with my rig, game seems well optimized.
For people asking for the right size after decompression, it seems to be actually 3.25 Go !
No problems at all with text or sound.

I got a 9400gt vc and it seems I have none in the game. Im having huge issues to run the game properly. Is that cuz of the drivers version? how can I update my graphic card to shaders 3.0 if thats the problem. I finally got through the installation hell now this. Someone experiencing something similar?

I can only make it to beginning of the first level when they tell you to go to the right flank. The problem is that no one is moving and there is no one to shoot while he is shouting "ready aim fire".
I did what was told in the other comment(run setup.bat as admin) but that didn't work and so I downloaded this and I'm still stuck in the same position.
MY PC can run on high HD 4850 and im using Win XP. Thanks for help.

To be honest this is my first gaming pc so the HD 4850 is also my first card so i can't really compare it to any other card. But it has handled everything i've thrown at it so far really well including crysis played at high settings so to me it's quite a good card. It's a 512mb card though, not 6gb The 6gb i mentioned is my system ram

@103: if you had read ALL the comments, you would have learned that you should have 3.25 GB in size installed. Check and you'll find out that is not the case...
Try reinstalling; maybe manually using the setup.bat commands from the command prompt ?!

Right Flank solution:
It has nothing to do with the downloads since others were getting it as well.
Insert this file into your call of juarez folder where the .exe is located and replace the existing(backup first).

I've made some PAR-files for - what I believe and experienced - to be the problem-causing steps; nl the extraction of datapcf and data2pcf.
I've uploaded these PAR-files to *************, along with instructions on how to proceed next.
Be aware that - apparently - this file can only be downloaded 10 times. Beyond that: either somebody uploades that file again, or get it distributed via Torrent....
File location: *** / files / 253458812 / Call_Of_Juarez_Installation_Fix.rar (remove spaces)
If you works for you, let people know.

Scrambled menu text
I know this is silly, but has anyone tried a newer or even a different driver other than the 185.85. Ive seen that only two people have written theyre using the 185.85 with different vid cards. Im also having this issue and am also using the 185.85 driver. Im downloading the latest nvidia driver and will report back if this happens to fix.

Changing video drivers didnt fix the problem. Now im assuming that its not extracting all the files properly, and so im missing some. The folder after setup is about 2.7GBs and should be about 3.2GBs, so ive read.

@Shedems ... Yerp... try decompressing it on another computer, it's gotta end up at 3.23gb .. don't do anything else on the comp while it's decompressing and don't let the screensaver kick in or it might give crc errors...
juz tryin to help dudes, fixed this problem on my pc by decompressing on my 5yr olds pent 4 , extracted with 7zip, decompress game folder should end up at 3.23gb,copied back to big pc, deleted registry entries and my documents COJBIB folder, run reg.exe..an all sweet
about to play through again on hard...great game.

OK..well people with the first "quick draw" issue of the hand not moving...I never resolved this...it is something to do with this version not unpacking correctly...I have d/loaded the Razor version....and all works OK....got past the quick draw fine.

That's a normal thing, the reason why your antivirus reacts on that is because that certain "program" will do some tasks on your computer. Deleting the file the antivirus has mentioned won't affect your installation either, well it doesn't for this torrent.

I have got a problem, and I have tried different downloads.
I am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit(they said that when I bought my computer), and I have most of the recommended requirements and all the minimum requirements.
But when I trie to start the game, I only get a black screen.
And after a few minutes they nicely give me back my desktop, but nothing else happend.
So I can't play the game
I already googled for the problem, but couldn't find any right information.
Anyone here who can help me?

If you're having trouble with the quick draw (gunslinging minigame), try using alt-tab. After going back to the desktop if you still can't find the mouse, click the windows button on your desktop and it should appear. Then go back to the game and everything should be fine. This did the trick for me.

for those gamers have menu problems that you cant read the letters in the menu ..
just follow the shis steps..
1. If the game is already installed then,
a) Delete the game folder.
b) Delete the game from registry.
(On Run Command Box and type Regedit,
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Techland
Delete the complete Techland key and its subfolders)
c) Delete the saved games from My Documents.
2. Now, Extract the game with "7-Zip" (I was trying with "Winrar" in all my previous attempts)
3. Run Setup.bat as written in the torrent. (Btw I installed in 'E:\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood')
4. Play the game.

First TOED cheers and thanks for the many games, I search you first when downloading. To others just cause he may have riped/direct played it doesn't mean he's actually been playing them, shouldn't hammer him for info on how to play etc... That being said I've seen a few posts about characters in first chapter not moving and no enemies to shoot at the end of the trench. I'm also having same problem and I am admin on the computer. Has anyone found a fix for it besides uninstall/reinstall(Done that about 5 times now). Tried that a few times. Also I do have the 3.23gb folder size so dont think it's an issue of not extracting(could be wrong though).

Well apparently the issue I posted in Post #176 isn't just with this version. I downloaded the ISO on a whim and still have same issue. Game loads, looks and sounds great. I start first mission and after talking to the soldiers about re-enforcing the right flank they dont move. can this be a graphics issue? I've got a GeForce 9400Gt with 1gig on it. Drivers are up to date. Any ideas?

I hav read all the comments till date..
so let me summarize everyone's comments...
Those people having problem with game..
(i.e., ureadable menus and texts)
it is due to the size of the game..
( u havnt got the full game extracted yet)
if this type of error occurs follow the below steps
1) deleting game and re-extracting will work..
(refer comment # 65 by koston)
also
2) try extracting to a different drive..
3) also try extracting using 7-zip instead of winrar..
do try this many times until u succeed...
(i.e, until u hav 3.2 gb instead of 2.71)

next are the problems once u enter inside the game...
if u go to the video options
u will see that the resolution is set to 1024x768 ..
u cannot decrease it...
u hav 3 options
a) best performance
b) balanced
c) best quality..
choose any of these options depending on ur pc configuration..
in case ur game bcomes too laggy even after choosing best performance..
try decreasing the resolution..
(NOTE: choosing best performance is good for those who havnt got high-end graphics card ,ram and processors)
this is what u will do to run the game without lagg..
inside the game choose "best performance" and save settings..
once u save ur settings quit the game..
go to
my documents-->Call of juarez bound in blood-->Out-->Settings
where u wil find 2 files audio and video ( square icons )
these file are of the format .scr (i.e, audio.scr and video .scr)

those noobs who do not know to make the file extension visible,
u hav to go to
tools-->folder options-->view
and uncheck " hide extension of known file types " and press apply..
//(XP)continuing...
make a backup up of the file video.scr (dont touch audio.scr file)
rename video.scr as video.txt
open this text file..
u will find somewhere in the center of the text
resolution(1024,768) (not !resolution(i,i) )
change this with ur desired resolution
ex: resolution(640,480)
save the file..close and rename it again as video.scr
(pros can change rest of the settings also.. )
start the game..ur game should run without any problem (graphic details will be lowered in the game)
Final NOTE: dont go to video options again inside the game coz resolution will be changed back to 1024x768..
if u hav any problems after editing the video.scr copy and replace the original video.scr that u hav backed up and replace the file..

this is wat u shud do..
after u kill the first guy who comes in a horse..
throw a dynamite outside ur right window wen u see the next guy come near the window..
(the bullet usually hits u coz there r 2 guys.. not 1 ..
one from the left and one from the right..)
i worked for me for the first time..may be i am just lucky..

P Win7 users, as usual, make sure to run in "Administrator" mode..
@wulfhoo; Make sure you have "Hide known file extensions" off (depends what vers of Win you have as to where the setting is, but it's usually in tools). Video.scr is located in \CoJ2\Out\Settings folder.

I am really sure that my system requirements are good enough, but my game is very laggy. i tried to change the resolution to 800,600. but it doesn't work, i cant change the settings, i cant even put best perfomance,it just doesnt save the settings. maybe someone here have ideas or solutions!?

I'm still pushing to get this to run! Game runs great graphically and sound when going through the cut scenes. Even when first chapter starts all looks good and sounds good. But once I go to the first cut scene in this chapter, when they say the Yankees are crossing river(something like that), the men don't move to the firing spot, I can move freely in the area, fire weapons, and even pick up things. But can't advance and the three soldiers are just standing like they started to move and then froze. I know others have said something about same issue. So here are my questions:
1) What ISO Software is being used by those the game works for?
2) Has anyone had this issue and fixed it?
3) Any ideas or help?
My computer stats are as follows:
Athlon 7750 Duo Core
On Board sound Realtek HD
GeForce 9400 Gt, 1G

I read somewhere in the forum this game has issue with onboard sound, however I've read lots of people's machine specs and see onboard all over them. So I've tried to disable sound through bias, lower the acceleration, the different sound modes through the .scr file, even nosound on it. Hasn't changed my issue.(By the way that was all a shot in the dark). I read that Ubisoft added some kind of software to hinder ISO/Virtual Drives. I've tried a new program(Was using PowerIso, then Dameon Tools)

whenever i download a game from toed something always **** up and it never works, for this one the menus are all ****** and i read that you needed to unrip it with 7zip so i dl that and now the file folder is 12mb?wtf is going on, did i accidently delete 90% of the contents or what?? ffs toed..where is skullpie never had a problem with any of his stuff...

uh i cant get the game to load past the first cutscene. it will freeze during the first cutscene. or if i hit escape. i get a black screen. im hoping its not a corrupted file or something but i cant be sure. i checked the logs:

Thx for this awesome rip, i been playing the game for like 1hr and 1/2 and i have got to ActII with no problems. I get an avg of 45fps on my HD4670 at max settings, with 1280x1068 resolution. I am using a 17 inches monitor.(Not that it matters

perfect game as usual but i have one prob at the wagon scene when u got to shoot the guys on horses i cant c them and get shot to hell and die. even restarted the chapter and still cant c them anywhere any ideas what could be wrong would help. thanx agian TOED
