So wait, it has StarForce protection but you can bypass it with just a simple image loaded on DT?

1. The key will be ask for when you are within the game for the first time.
2. Did you install daemon tools 3.04? Did you also load the MINI-IMAGE included and NOT the game iso (FUll Image as you called it)? You do not have to remove your cd/dvd rom drive.

Try uninstalling Daemon tools then re-installing it. Applications can sometimes becomes corrupt. Also, open task manager and close any programs not needed to run your computer (i.e. Firewalls, Anti-Virus, ad-blockers, etc...)
As a reminder, does your system meet the minimum requirement to play the game, if it does all I can say is its probably a software related issue. Lastly, you may want to wait or find a no cd excutable.

Heres an interesting thing: I CANT FIND THE MINI IMAGE !!!! all i got from unpacking the game was the Spellforce 2.mdf file
Instaled the game, but i cant get it to work.

Hi! My problem seems to be stupid so maybe someone could help me:
When i enter the game 4 the first time (daemon boosted and ready with the mini - image)i write the serial, at the last number ....nothing tilt or highlight or tell me that i'm right, and i 'm not able to do anything ! .... am i alone?

sure!!! and that's the problem ; i do not have access to that part of the process. i have almost verified if my pc were turned "on" so .... i will stop it and read a book .... (or maybe trying to forget with Oblivion!!! )

PLSSSSS....need help....i don't know what to do.
I installed the game mounting de image with DM 3.4.To this point everything was good.After that i changed the image with the MI image, also with daemon tools.But when i start the game says "Failed to identify the disc in the drive. Insert a licensed disc"...i push "retry"....same problem, after that says something about cd key wrong or misedtyped....i push cd key, enter the cd key.."3H7M4-KMLHX-JSFXX-96GYX-E2NCZ-3GNLH-LLW9Z-S4DMD"....but again.. ...the cd key you entered is invalid or misedtyped. I don't know waht to do. Pls there is someone who can give an advice ????PLS ????

For all you guy's who experienced problems during installation with spellforce 2. Try to re-install deamon tools with the newest version.
And then mount the mini image. disconnect your ide drive(s) and run the game. Then insert in the game the serial key. worked for me

Ok, what the hell am I doing wrong...
I install the game, install the starforce thingy, switch to the mini-image, start the game, and then gets an "access violation" error. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong here?

I'm getting an "insert a licensed disc" error too. Have latest fresh install of Daemon Tools, and mini image mounted. No dice. Guess we'll just have to wait for a cracked exe Damn starforce

Okay guys, after much frustration, I got it figured out...
Steps to follow:
1. Uninstall game through "add/remove programs" if you have already tried to run it, and remove all Spellforce 2 files from the folder you installed it to.
2. Run the starforce driver cleaner (http://www.glop.org/starforce/remove.php)
3. Reboot
4. Install Spellforce 2
5. DO NOT INSTALL THE PATCH!!!!
6. Try to run Spellforce 2 - Starforce drivers should install and ask you to reboot
7. Reboot as asked
8. Mount the included mini-image using Daemon Tools 4.03 (http://www.daemon-tools.cc) - I don't know if the emulation options make a difference here, but I have mine all on except for RMPS
9. Use curerom (http://www.curerom.net/) to run spellforce2.exe
10. ENJOY!

For those of you encountering game crashes, it seems that those issues are adressed with the patch, however the patch also updates the starforce protection so that the mini-image doesn't work, so it looks like you'll have to wait for a cracked exe or an updated mini-image unless you can figure out how to stop the crashes yourself.

it worked fine for me, except there was no mini image, had to get it from gamecopyworld
the game itself SUX, feels like a game from 5 years ago or something... not worth going thro all the trouble really...

The game works fine for me. But windows is finding new hardvare (cd rom drive) but cant install them. when i disable virtual drives is fine, but i need to restart. please somebody help me.

I did everything you said and everything worked as it should have.
I mount the MINI image with deamon tools, then i make a profile of Spellcaster 2, i let that profile also go to the MINI image.
Then i start Spellcaster 2 using curerom, but that it's says my cd key is INCORRECT, and both keys that where named here, don't work.
Please help

I GOT THE SOLUTION
-install spellforce2
-on ur windows go to start>run> type in "regedit" (no speechmarks)
-find this location>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/PHENOMIC/spellforce2/keys
-edit the data value "(default)" with 3H7M4-KMLHX-JSFXX-96GYX-E2NCZ-3GNLH-LLW9Z-S4DMD
-mount the mini image
-open game and the starforce disc check should be fine and it should get into game and ask for cd key
-input this cd key>2lxmp-twe3p-7ze3u-cahwg-3e3dx-kmc3x-nwdew-7gqn6
-and i've done this on two computers so it works
-do exactly as i said
-it has workd twice for me

I think I did something wrong...I installed, copied those things on the "DVD" from "program files" in the game folder...I installed the software that the security software wanted me to install...I rebooted my computer...and it still says that I have to insert the correct CD/DVD,even though I mounted the mini image...the mdf...(109 Kb ISO)
