How do I play it ?? I tried burning it onto a cd using Alcohol 120% but my playstaion keeps sayin please insert a playstation or playstation 2 disc ????

Use Alcohol 120% to copy onto a DVD. PS2 doesn't recognize just a CD.
You will need a PS2 that either has a MOD chip in it, or a swap Magic disc.

have anybody tried this on DVD? did it work? i have a ps2 slim 77006, i can play backup dvds without modding or swap magic but cant play cds. i wanna to know before i proceed to burning.

Its NTSC but has english text in 95% of the game just minor things are japanese, menus and options in english 
And for those who are having trouble burning, use alcohol 120% and burn it on a cd-r NOT dvd, my ps2 is chipped and works fine, burn at low speeds like 16x for best results. Hope that helps

i used power iso
burnt the mdf file onto dvd-r didnt work
then tried the mds and mdf still didnt work
what do i do?

The game works perfectly. If you wana run the game from a CD (not DVD), you must burn it with poweriso or similar program. The file you ned to burn is the .mdf (a tipe of .iso, .daat, .nrg file). If you want to save the game directly from your computer to the internal HD to play with HDloader, you must convert the .mdf file to .iso (with poweriso or similar program). The game realy works, unfortunly, almost everything is in japanese.

the software's name is 'ULTRAISO',i use it to convert my format file to iso (standart) and i can burn it...

i have problem ...
cant play it on ps2
can play in ps2 emulator by Iso image but i burn the game on CD-RW (no waste cd) after that not works for ps2 and emulator.....how to play it on cd or dvd works 100% on ps2 and emulaotr????

So this is the Jap Version, it might be the one I Downloaded..
Marvel vs Capcom has **the Color blue under the disc witch means its a
CD-R** burn on to a CD not DVD and it'll work i use Alcohol to burn and
Swap Magic to play i have all characters and beat the to where i can hav 3 of the same characters or 2......
I though i came across the english version but i guess this is Jap, it'll still work

ok so i downloaded it opened poweriso and saved it as an ISO file, then i clicked burn-chose the iso file, picked CD as media type and 16x burning speed and burned it. I put in the magic cd disc and then the burnt disc and it says not a valid ps2 disc. any help?

hmm, a year? maybe I jut happen to pop back on this site..
but i dont Know anythignabout changing it to ISO, because from what
(I BELIEVE ) ISO is for DVD only if it was meant to be ISO it would work.
I guess what im sayin is you have to use a device that burns the Mds and mdf files I think. i forget wich one,
i think i used Alcohol and found open the mds file and burned it. the other file (mdf) is not important to open when u use alchohol witch is the easiset way to burn this game on to a cd-r..
also if is was ISO, ot only is it for dvd rom games, its for DVD DISC as well.
mds,mdf is for CD-R ( games with the blue bottom is CD-R types like most fighting games)
