Use Format Factory http://www.formatoz***m/ to convert the file to MPG then use Nero to burn a DVD of it.
MP4 is widely used; it's the video standard for Apple.

We aren't freeloaders when its free-to-share then we are just consumers! and as consumers we should be able to voice our "complaints"(tips) about a product.

Plain Xvid format would indeed probably be the best for the widest circulation
and playback on the majority of computers around the world.
Mp4 will likely give you higher quality at a given size file for modern
cleanly recorded movies though.
It is best to think beyond your own equipment and recording techniques, to
think about the audience, because the viewers are the most important part of
what making a movie is about.

I enjoyed it #24. Learned a few new things too. Such as the London cell phone/information program. I thought that was a brilliant idea. And this is the first time I've heard of couch surfers. Which also sounds pretty cool for one that would like to travel in a friendly environment. Thanks for the upload!!
I'm not sure about anyone else, but I use VLC player for all of my media. I haven't ran into an extension that it wouldn't play yet. And for burning to dvd, I would defiantly recommend ConvertX. Quality is great too by the way. Just in case anyone else is wondering. Thanks again!!

It's a documentary about open source politics. Although they do make some mistakes in their assumptions. For instance, they mistakenly assume that government (the documentary uses the UK) is suddenly going to change and essentially take a communistic approach. The fact is in most countries government is already very open to the public, it's just that people are too lazy to join a party and show up at the meetings.
24.Posted by VistaSStoned on Oct 15 2009 at 22:20
good movie 10/10 A/V talks about open source community and how the internet is changing the world, talks about how internet community is helping to change world goV. I like it it was very positive well made.
btw mike, why is mp4 so odd to you? this is a common format and the majority of media player will play it, you said you wont be able to play it on your dvd player? common 99% of the media you download you will have to convert to bee able to play on a standard dvd player lol.. ohh newB strike again lol

The torrent is 100% The movie story is another thing. Good actors saved the film.

Numbers 9, 10 & 11 you guys are jokes, funniest thing I ever read on ***va, almost had me inhale my ramen laughing :S
Number 36 & 37 - nice reviews.
Number 39 - interesting an unique angle... I certainly won't contradict you cos I don't know. And certainly there are secrets not appraised to the 'mass', how else could it be. Many things are on a need-to-know basis, most of them are simply specialist, some are more nefarious no doubt. I won't lable you as paranoid but some would so be careful there with your convictions... I spent plenty of time with the 'conspiracy' theories and learned much. The dark and paranoid stuff is mainly based on ignorance - not a good creative space to be in. Makes you wonder about the people who stay in that mode for years or decades (Alex Jones, David Icke, Alan Watt et al).
It's easy for information to get out of hand when there is nothing to tell us what REALLY goes on.
...
30.Posted by djchopstix on Oct 16 2009 at 20:47
...
These conspiracy gurus really do my head in but clearly in some cases there is a lot of truth to the things they 'bring to light'. Often it's out of context and quite manipulative. If only humans weren't so easily deceived the 'normal' people, the teachers, doctors, economics and politics students, journalists, editors, presenters blah blah blah blah blah - would be able to simply figure these things out for themselves. However the we are indeed easily lead.
Even we as we sit at these little monitor screens (yours may be big but it's not as big as the earth and the sky) we dream of how to make the world a better place yet we still sit here... bittorrenting away. It would take a miracle to inspire everyone to do good, live for their community, volunteer their precious time in helping others, learn how best to educate the future generations without creating mindlessly egocentric consumers (like our generations) or brainwashed eco-freaks, live 'sustainably' (lovely UN buzzword), and generally be caring and conscientious to the absolute maximum possibility.
I could go on... why doesn't someone make a film about that instead. (Why don't I make it?)
Haha sorry I'm rambling. I'll come back when my thoughts are in order (which may be never...)

add .ht to replace the *** in the bbc article.
"****gers Beware" was the way the BBC decided to sensationalise this piece of legislated action by the USA Gov't.
32.Posted by 4ALLofUS on Oct 16 2009 at 21:10
talk about ott censorship.
" b l o was just replaced by ****
Now do you see a working example of how the movies proposals could be mis-managed?
Censorship and fake activities would be difficult if not impossible to identify from an end users perspective.
Take a look at any social forum, ****, whatever and censorship can and does take place. Ever had a facebook entry deleted? I have.
I also maintain a small forum and website so I know how easy it is to inject or delete from a database and to the outside all is normal and functioning as intended.
TRUST!
Invariably trust is all we have to go on in many respects. Take teh BBC. Their "have your say" is no doubt used to demonstrate opinion that is best suited to their editor on the day! If a visitor places trust that it is uncensored, or only censored to remove foul 'stuff' then their trust may be being abused!
Maybe I am just paranoid, maybe some people are just naive!
33.Posted by 4ALLofUS on Oct 16 2009 at 21:15
quote BBC article above-
From influencing public opinion through new media to designing "computer network attack" weapons, the US military is learning to fight an electronic war. -end quote
For all I know you might be one of the US Military employees sent out to "influencing public opinion through new media" and so could this movie and company sponsoring it.
Vigorously defending for the sake of?
Paid to do so?
Bored?
You tell me and I shall ignore you anyway because you, just like everyone else out here on the w w w might be a liar!
34.Posted by 4ALLofUS on Oct 16 2009 at 21:20
Yes, I might be the liar, but at least I presented some evidence and examples to backup my stance, instead of insinuating paranoia, creating straw-men to attack and providing no evidence to support your 'opinion'.

check out the documentary "HOME", its sorta about that.. But a film that shows actual people doing all those the nice things mentioned above, I doubt that would ever take place.****reality.

MP4 is no so unfamiliar format, it shouldn't be a big problem to play.
