Has anyone discussed the fact that we are pumping CO2 out of underground caverns and putting it in our soft drinks? Every convenience store, restaurant, gas station, etc., that has fountain drinks has tanks of pure carbon dioxide to infuse soft drinks and make them fizzy. Cans and liters of soft drinks contain carbon dioxide, which your body has no use for, and so simply ejects it. If you believe co2 is a greenhouse gas, then rather than pay someone to "offset" your "carbon footprint", stop drinking fizzy soft drinks. This is an action that people can take that will reduce co2 being released into the atmosphere.
