Download VLC media player which playes almost any file format. From there you can choose director's commentary on or off, easy.

Just for everyone that loves this series and wants to put these Mkv files on a dvd. u first need to change the files over to avi or something that nero can burn. I have been searching for a good program to do this and i can asure u that all u need is River Past Video Cleaner with a codec pack and it makes it a breeze compared to other programs i tried like alltoavi, or virtualdubmod.

is this legit?????

4.Posted by solstice333 on Jan 18 2007 at 08:08

or is it really as bad as dummkopf claims it to be?

5.Posted by surf3r on Feb 10 2007 at 12:56

Ignore dummkopf (which is ironically german for idiot / fool). mkv a newer 'container' format. dummkopf is obviously still downloading DiVX3 videos on his 14.4k modem. you don't need a new codec as it's XViD video inside the mkv. it also contains 2 audio streams: the normal audio and the directors cut - just choose whichever one you want to listen to.

Download VLC media player and you'll be sorted.

mkv! AAAAAAAARGGGGHHHHHHH!! useless for dvd conversion. why!!!!

8.Posted by rudedogggg on Dec 31 2007 at 08:47

LMAO at surfr saying that this is the new cool format. IT WONT PLAY ON DIVX PLAYERS!!!!!!!! SO its worthless!!!!

9.Posted by marmad on Jan 12 2008 at 09:46

rudedogggg:

This isn't a format, dimwit; it's a container - as surf3r said. Try doing a bit of research (there is a thing called Google - check it out) and either get a new player or install a necessary codec. If you can't get it play, it's your own limited brain power. This works fine on all of my players.

I'm so sick of idiots on these sites who can't bother to do 15 minutes of work to get files playing correctly after others do major amounts of work ripping and torrenting this stuff.

"I'm so sick of idiots on these sites who can't bother to do 15 minutes of work to get files playing correctly after others do major amounts of work ripping and torrenting this stuff."

Then use a different container. I'm off to find a better torent without mkv.

All anyone needs is Zoom Player, set to auto-configure. You never need to do anything or install anything manually.

VSO ConvertXtoDVD will convert mkv to dvd video if that is what floats your boat.

No one gives a **** about stand alone compatability with your divx player/console. If you want that then download one of the giant poorly compressed versions or reencode this one. Better yet watch things that are specifically encoded for computers on a ....computer.

Personally I don't see much point in using a mkv container with an xvid codec. Would have made more sense if you used x264/AAC although I suppose mkv provides slightly better support for multiple audio tracks than avi.

Anyway thanks for the upload.

Come on, most torrent movies or TV shows are in .AVI format. Just burn to disc and watch on yer TV. As for the lad to say to watch it on yer computer, well, that's not for me. I'd rather sit on my sofa and watch on a dedicated tv instead of sitting at my PC, thank you very much. I would have no probs if the conversion to .AVI was easy but it's not. I tried River Past Video Cleaner but it gave me awful quality output and I did research what I was doing. So yea, I must have done it wrong but it was NOT straightforward. Just please upload divx encoded AVIs.

For some reason, season 1, episode 5 that I DLed from this torrent isnt episode 5, its actually a 6 second clip from the first episode of LOST. ***???
Anyone else have this problem? :? :? :?

Thanks for the upload, but...

Very poor quality and scenes with a lot of movement are basically unwatchable

I recommend getting the full DVDRip. 700MB per episode but the quality is top notch.

I downloaded this and got a call from my internet company about legal action and suspending my account if I do it again and all that crazy stuff. Thanks a lot :(

zoneisbetter - so it was the poster's fault you got a warning from your ISP? It was you who clicked the download button not your ISP nor anyone else - it was YOUR decision. Idiot.

Fine ******. Get caught. See if I care. Some kind of community this is. I feel like the one guy who told people to get the **** out of Hiroshima but they were all ***tards instead.
