Yep, just what i was thinking, Rampamckvak. 40GB is way too much even for Mozart. I'd like to suggest an alternative torrent:
http://www.mininova.org/tor/242200
the music is in mp3 there.

I do not agree at all. If you have good hifi devices, Lossless files are way better than mp3 files, especially with Classic music.
Concerning these CDs, the Mozart symphonies are excellent brand new recordings. It's too bad to listen to it in MP3 format, unless you're the type of guy who kept the orginal earphones of your Ipod.
(in that case, you won't hear a difference!)

This is great and all, but I would've loved if this was in FLAC format, instead of APE. FLAC is more portable than APE, at this point, and since I use Linux, the only way I can use APE is with a plugin for a program I don't use. So, I spent a good chunk of time converting these into FLAC.
Thanks for the torrent, but next time try FLAC.

'Starfleet' is right. Unless you are an iPod user, a lossless format such as FLAC or APE is necessary for high quality sound reproduction. A must for classical music played using genuine hi-fi equipment.
Congrats and many thanks to the uploader.
I will be downloading the set by Philips also for comparison.

There're no CD images there!!!!!!!!
Only mp3 files with only 96-112 kbps!!!!!!!!!!
It's almost like listening classical music in the midi format!!!!
What a shame, i spent so much time and hopes in vain... Do not download this cr-ap!

If you don't trust me - start downloading it and take a look at the torrent content in your torrent client. You'll see the darned low-quality mp3 files instead of the promised "lossless APE format".

hahahhaha u lossy guys make me laugh.. seriously. This torrent is LOSSLESS!!! Don't bother downloading it if u dont want it.. also, dont comment on it since u dont like it! P.E.R.I.O.D.! Lossless is the way to go from now on. MP3 dies...I myself kill tons of mp3s everyday by throwing my mp3 cds in the trash. Oh and yes THIS IS APE+CUE...long live the uploader.
Now bugger off.

How can I use .ape and .cue files ???
It's easy with Nero 6:
first download the missing .ape plugins at :
http://www.bitburners.com/Software/Download/Audio_Software_and_Encoders/Nero_Audio_Plugins/Monkeys_Audio_v1.0.0.37/
unzip the file (nxMyAPE.dll 124Kb) in :
\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins
Launch Nero 6, burn an image with the .cue file.
Enjoy Mozart's music !
