It does seem to be the Full Game. Everything seems to be working ok except the sound, all I hear is static.

works fine.
no need for installation.
unzip to a folder and play.
music files is missing, but sound fx is there.
disable music, thats all.

Slight problems with game include lack of certain rewards (baseball field) and land value development.
Sound (easy fix)

Other than that, runs fine until later stages of game where it turns into a real battle due to lack of rewards. A real struggle to get astronomical land values.

Good download if wanting a quick blast of the game...not good if you are in for a proper long term city development.

Like everyone else said, the music is removed, you'll have to mute the music in preferences. Apart from that, excellent torrent for an excellent game.

TO PLAY FULL WITH MUSIC YOU CAN DO THIS STEPS: JUST TO LONG...I FIGURED IT OUT..
First thing, Download all 15 music files from:
http://simcity.ea.com/coolstuff/sc3k_music/index.php
(They are .mp3 files so convert them to .wav files)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Extract "Simcity 3000 FULL.zip" (NO INSTALL REQUIRED)

2. Convert Simcity 3000 Music Files from .mp3 to .wav format.

3. Copy the .wav to game dir (Example: C:\Games\Simcity 3000\Game\Res\Sound\Music)

4. In music dir, Rename each ".wav" files corresponding to each ".xa" files
Example: You see "3KD1.XA", and you have "01_SC3K_Power_Grid.wav",
-It goes like this: "01_SC3K_Power_Grid.wav"="3KD1.wav"...)

Rename just ALL of your wav files to:

3KD1, 3KG2, 3KJ1, 3KJ2, 3KJ3, 3KJ4, 3KP1, 3KP2, 3KP3, 3KP4, 3KP5, 3KT1, 3KT2, 3KT3 & SC2BUG

5. After, Go to game directory (Ex: C:\Games\Simcity 3000\Game\Res\Sound),
Open "AUDIO.ini" with notepad locate this:

MusicDataDir=e:\sc3000data\cdimage\res\sound\
; MusicDataDir=d:\sc3000data\cdimage\sc3\res\sound\
CachePath=c:\temp\

Delete that and Replace with this: (It matter to which Game Directory You Extracted it.)

MusicDataDir=C:\Games\Simcity 3000\Game\Res\Sound\Music
; MusicDataDir=C:\Games\Simcity 3000\Game\Res\Sound\Music
CachePath=C:\Games\Simcity 3000\Game\Res\Sound\Music

(If you installed it in other game directory, just change to where music\ is.)

how do u extract it correctly? cuz i try extracting it with winRaR and it doesnt do anything to it. and once its extracted what do i click on to play. this is my first game to download from here so i dont know what im doing.

The games is working properly over here!

I did the sound changes as told but it's not working. Am I doing something wrong maybe? any tips?

My sound also has gotten this weird echo in it, not only in the game but overall! anyone knows how to fix that? it started after I did those sound changes!

Sorry. My post number 32 was a little incorrect. Delete the "m" from the files that have them. E.g. 3kp5m.xa should be 3kp5.xa if you have downloaded this game from here (Mininova).
A further example;
rename the 3kp5.xa file to 3kp5.wav

If you don't have the patience for the tutorial above for the music, you can just turn on your favorite tunes with Windows Media Player or any other media player.
