It's a stand-alone expansion, with all the files for all 7 races from this and the previous games. You can install it by itself or in addition to the previous games.
And yes, from the reviews I've seen it's the best sci-fi RTS on the market right now.
Someone post once they get some more info on this release. Good things to know would be what kind of protection the game has, and what cracks if any are packeged with this release?

but im not sure about wat cracks needed or if it even needs one

You only have to unpack it, mount it, install it, there's no need for a crack it'll work anyway.
And you do not need the original dawn of war, since its a stand-alone expansion pack.

alright, ive installed it but now ive been hit with another problem..
everytime i try to play, a box appears saying..
"ERRORS:
Spooge driver not found. Verify that DirectX is properly installed."
ive reinstalled twice and tried to repair it but it doesnt work.
also, there is alot of files still named rc-warhammer.r31 etc.. what do i do with those?
for now, ive cut and pasted them in the program files/thq/dawn of war folder. ive done the same with the set up etc too.
i wish this came with instructions. all those zipped files and those non zipped are confusing me.
could someone please help?

Can't get it to work . Every .exe that is to install something (game itself , direct x ect...) opens a window that closes immediatly and nothing happens.
Anyone had this problem too ?
Please help a warhammer fan ^^

all you need is NERO 6 or 7
click start>all programs>Nero>Nero 6 enterprise edition>Nero burnging rom
. after that click ok and drag the ISO file into the empty window then burn
after it has burned the disk will iject automatically, put it back in and it will auto start.
follow the instructions when it asks for CD key(authentication) put in 76c0-6973-cf45-9954-b935
follow the rest and yer good to go
DONT try and go online or you will be nabbed

I can't seem to patch the game. Whenever I try to install the patch it tells me that critical game files are missing and that I should re-install the game. Upon doing so the patch still doesn't work, does this have anything to do with all the files that came with the iso? I tried placing them in the game folder but I get the same result when patching, what should I do?

If you want to use the other races, you need the Original DoW and the Winter Assault Expansion to use all 7 races in online multiplayer.
Although Dark Crusade is a stand-alone game, you can only use all 7 races in Campaign. For multiplayer, you can only use the Necrons and the Tau.
If you want to use the Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, Orks, or Imperial Guard, you need the Original Dawn of War for the first 4, and Winter Assault for the Imperial Guard.

Hey there, I really need your help on this one...
since my other pc gets better internet connections I downloaded the torrent from there, I burned it and try to install it on this pc, which is way better than the other...I've tried every possible way, if I burn the image file I cant install the game, I get an error regarding data2.cab I/O, if I copy the zipped files, I cant unzip them on this pc cuz there's an error in file .r10, I even tried to copy the image file and mount it on this pc and it didnt work. The thing is on the other, weaker, pc I can install and run the game perfectly fine, so I cant possibly find where the problem is :S
If someone could give me a hand in this I'd really appreciate it

OMg lol dont bother trying to go online, it works but A couple people and I are always battling for the cd key, if i know who it is , talk to me so we can share times, if not then theres probaly like 5 diffrent people.

O yeah if you wannt the other races make sure you use the same cd keys you used to install them, if you used a keygen for example, reinstall the game and save that key in a wordpad for both the original and the winter one then your all set.

-you only have to extract the .rar
-then extract its .iso
-go into disk1
-click autoplay.exe
-install it
-play
I dint have to mount anything
or extract the other stuff

Really people!? How do you know how to pirate a game, yet have no clue as how to install it?? Maybe you people should just buy the game and when you can't figure out the basic directions for installing it you'll be able to call tech support and they will hold your hand.
