It is GERMAN. There will be a language pack to turn this version into an english one. So you can get this and convert it later. Or you can wait for a properly cracked english version which should be out in a matter of days.

Did anyone know the requirements for the game? I didn't find it on the web. I can't believe video game website can make a test without giving the requirements... ho well. Please if anyone know it will be helpful. I would like to know if i can play it on my computer before DLing the file... since it's almost 4 gig...

requirements are realy big - some ppl says thats this game haces biggest requirements than oblivion = specialy im thinking about RAM - in 1 gb loading time is aobut 2.30 minutes and save time is something about 30 sec.

The english version isn't supposed to be released until Nov 13. I don't see how this is the english version.
This is probably an IP phishing expidition by anti-piracy groups. I'm not d/l'ing.

Found the way to make it work. Works on both english and german versions.
1. Unrar with WinRAR
2. Install virtual cd v8.0.0.4 (http://www.mininova.org/tor/456152) and use it to mount the image to a physical (and not virtual) drive. (you'll have to mount it every time you start your pc)
3. Install the game and use the game updater to download the update and install it.
4. Download the savegame files (http://m0005.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_gothic_3.shtml#Gothic%203%20SAVEGAME) and extract them to My Documents\gothic3
5. Restart your pc
6. Run Gothic 3 and load a saved game
7. Go back to main menu and start a new game.
Note: Gothic 3 is realy heavy on your system so you may want to reduce settings to a minimum before starting the game.

How to do ENGLISH version.
Step 1. Go to My Documents\gothic3 folder.
Step 2. Open UserOptions.ini file
Step 3. Set:
SubtitleLanguage=English
Subtitle=true
It works )
Also you can replace language in Gothic III\Ini\ge3.ini (Text=English).

well i got that virtual cd program and it f#@$ed 
my pc had to go back with system restore put some unwanted IEXPLORER.EXE always running as a process and no i didnt have internet expl running So ill just wait for a crack

Hello i downloaded.And instaled in german language still couldnt install vcredist beacose of my software problems.Now i cant even start the game.
1)When i try to start from it from Autorun in sez
"Operation:Open

Parameter:

Thats the first Problem.Now sekond.
2)When i try to run it from the location something like thise come up.
"Cant start the aplication,beacose its parameters are not valid.This problem can be resolved by reinstaling the aplication."

Hi everyone,
The whole thing is working perfectly well after I've changed the lines in the .ini and I managed to do it in French actually.
But while all the subtitles are in French I don't get any audio coming from chatting, I can read what the characters say in the game but can't hear a word out of their mouths.
Is it normal or what?

GUYZ-i have 1 question...pls Help me...i have Gothic 3...i have just 512 Ram and 128 mb Video Card...1.6 GH...at first my PC had a Wack and thinked kind a slow(maybe Ram problem)...so the game was Lag ing(after a time not so heavy lag...)...anyway...when i reinstalled my Windows the PC was running great but when i installed G3 after lag it just restrted my PC or Quited the game(or Freezed)...so i got that slow run on my PC for the 2 time..agin i reinstalled it after a time and runned great got far with all the lags and everything(when it lagged mutch and i casted ex. a Fireball it quitted,but thas not BIG problem..)...now i got a new Windows cd and again it is restarting...P.S.(note that when my PC was ok i had to wait about 4 min to enter the game...when it slowed down but not Restarting i had to wait 8 min...)...so anyone pls tell me is this restartin\freezing\quitting thing from a safty program or something...or what it is(simply not enough RAM)..pls help me...

it sounds like your PC is overheating. Either the graphics card or the CPU. Check the fans, and buy new fans if necessary. Or a new graphics card.

Please help. I get the following error message:
Error while starting game executable - couldn't load DLL file Engine.dll
I followed all instructions, got Virtual CD v9 and have downloaded all updates but appears to still be in german. Problem is I cannot even play it in german! Am I supposed to be clicking the .exe file on my desktop, from the Program Files folder or off Virtual CD? Please advise

Is this the German version?...or did someone final fixed the Virtual CD trick with the English one?
