O.o is it me or.... there is no answer to those questions above?! that link only talks about requirementes and what the game is all about...

already downloaded, already installed.
Did this: mounted both images and ran the installer... everything went ok.
then i went to play it. It asked for the cd: mounted disk 1, nothing; mounted disk 2, nothing... burned both cds and loaded disk 1, nothing; loaded disk 2, it ran!
BUT: there was only one tutorial (unlike another version, one image only with about 800mb - there was about 3 or 4 tutorials); also there were some bugs on the main view. Ok, i ran the only tutorial (terraforming): it ran nicely until i planted some trees, then it bugged completely, all screen went black but the game still was accepting my commands. tried to exit the tutorial and keep playing on the same terrain, all screen still blacked out. Exited to main view, and yet all black.
I'll try to find out where is that larger image... was playable (but i was using it on an imac g4 with no dvd burner, so that was kinda difficult) now i'm running an ibook g4 1,42ghz with a dvd burner... better, yet no image found yet.

hmmmm, help ... isn't quite working for me! i install per r3v0lut10n's instructions. then burn both cds, load one then the other, but neither gets me past the "load the cd" message. is there some special trick to burning the cds (besides just copying the disk image to the cd and pushing the "burn" button) that i'm missing? all advice welcomed ...

Actually,You only need burn the second CD...looks like it's the "Play Disk". Also about burning, I don't know which version of TOAST are you using, there is one thing for sure that you can find "Copy" icon in the program.Click on it and try to find "Image File"(should be find in left or right drawer if you are using TOAST 7, or on TOAST 8 would be on left side) then click "Select..." Button. Choose the second disk image and click the "burn" button. hope this would work on your mac.

thx, starjoey! just so i understand ... do i copy the .toast file directly onto the disk? or do i first click on it, expand it into a disk image, and then copy those contents (there's a Readme file in there, and something called "Installer Data 2"

oh, I think you don't have to mount it, just select it from "Image File" and burn it...

hnjunior918: insert a blank CD-R. Open the disc 2 .dmg file with Toast 8. Click the "Mount" button. Then click the big red 'burn' button. You're done!
Mac_game: there are serial numbers included in the torrent.
My question: This game loads fine. However, the deluxe/rush hour patch at
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12722/simcity-4-rush-hour
doesn't recognize it as valid.
a) Is a cracked update available anywhere?
b) if not, is a full deluxe version available? Recently, the deluxe edition torrent, mirrored on here, was taken down because its host (demonoid) went off-line. Is any of the 60+ people who were seeding it willing to create a need torrent for mininova? I'd seed for a looong time!

There is an easy fix.
After downloading the files, right click the Sim City 4.toast, and select DiscImageMounter. Do the same with Sim City 4 Disc 2.toast.
Then Run the installer.
After installation, right click the Sim City 4 Disc 2.toast, and open it with DiscUtility. (If it does not appear in the left column in DiscUtility after opening it this way: File - Open > Sim City 4 Disc 2.toast should open it). Then select Convert, and pick a filename.
Using this disc should let the program run.

majin_streater you probably need to convert it to a .dmg file.
I just helped a friend of mine install this on his macbook. Download LiquidCD to mount the .toast files. The serial is located in the downloaded folder btw or just use this otherwise:
XB7T-3HFZ-JBQF-5SQM
Then after the game has installed download this and mount the image using LiquidCD and the game will work perfectly fine: http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3438610/SimCity_4_mac_NoCD.dmg
Apparently there is an update here which though I could not figure out how to install so if you do know how to install the update pls post back here: http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=17791

hey guys! i have downloaded and installed, updated, and installed no cd...
but when i run it, it runs perfectly fine, but then when i click to start a new cd. it just blacks out and quits unexpectedly.
someone help me with this prob?

hey people,
well i have downloaded sim city 4 and installed no problem, but when i go to open app it asks to insert disc, so i mount disc two and press ok, but nothing happens ???? so i then burt disc two on a dvd rewrite disc, then tried it again but nothing ??????? any ideas have been trying to get this game for a long time ,,,, any help would be greatful ,,,,,......

if you get Toast 8 then u can mount the image files with that and it thinks its a disk in, and u won't need to burn it to any disk

Neither Disk image 1 or 2 satisfies.
