Movies should always have their original voices >-).
Availability is now 0.73 for me, needs more seeds.
Weird for an aXXo release :?.

7.Posted by jokoon on Feb 03 2007 at 09:09

Well I was about to post about a 0.99 availability, but suddenly it changes to 9.999 and the file completes.
Whatever.

8.Posted by gambeano on Feb 03 2007 at 09:19

No subtitles with this film
Picture is 10/10
But if you dont speak the lingo then dont bother

9.Posted by portezbie on Feb 03 2007 at 10:10

the movie is in spanish i believe and subtitles are included, however, does anyone know what to play this with? Everything works fine but the subs are wierd you can see the formatting i.e. <font> </font> etc.

10.Posted by zetor on Feb 03 2007 at 11:45

the English sub file is there(.srt) the subs should show in WMP or can be burnt to DVD using something like DVDlabPro.

11.Posted by aXXo (torrent uploader) on Feb 03 2007 at 12:02

There are not english dubbed versions of this film.
English subs are included (.srt)
Configure your player properly or play the movie with media player classic no problems at all, tested as always.
Latest DVD/DiVX players support that format too.

12.Posted by nejx on Feb 03 2007 at 13:04

its mexico / spanish movie

13.Posted by Deluge on Feb 03 2007 at 13:52

Use VLC Media Player guys, it will automatically recognise and open the .srt file if they are both contained in the same folder.

Keep it real ;)

14.Posted by Tarlee on Feb 03 2007 at 14:15

Was having the same problem with the subs but opened the file in wordpad and edit replaced <font color="#ffffff"> and </font> with nothing, and it seems to work fine now in VLC and media player classic.

Best movie of last year, thanks aXXo

15.Posted by Gh0stFac3 on Feb 03 2007 at 14:40

aXXo I take your torrents over anyones else's torrents for movies because i know I am gonna get the finest quality around. Take "The Prestige" for example, that was the best quality dvd rip I ve ever seen for 700mb. Keep the movies coming bro.

16.Posted by higetaro on Feb 03 2007 at 15:27

Yes i agree with Gh0stFac3..
but i have a question.recently's torrent are RAR and they ask me to download a program first to get the password.these never happened before with aXXO?
What should I do?

17.Posted by portezbie on Feb 03 2007 at 15:35

thanks tarlee, took ur advice and used the replace function forgot it ever existed, thanks, much better now

18.Posted by ghostfreak on Feb 03 2007 at 16:10

@higetaro

axxo torrents are never .rar's - it's a fake you downloaded.

if anyone doesn't want to go to the effort of removing the formatting from the subs, I made a google page with the subs minus formatting and I corrected any spelling errors that were in the subs as well

haha it was nothing, but since i did it, i figured id share
....viper mitch not really sure what u are saying but youll have to permanently attach the subs to the avi and then covert it to mp4, could be a big pain in the butt, just watch it on your computer :)

39.Posted by celectol on Feb 04 2007 at 00:19

Thanx Tarlee your fix works a treat!

40.Posted by jokoon on Feb 04 2007 at 00:25

For people who see formatting, you have better software to use :
Media Player Classic
FFDShow (get the last at codecs.com)
Double-clic on the tray icon and tick "subtitles".

41.Posted by cpalaka on Feb 04 2007 at 05:26

i want to do the same thing as vipermitch.
i mean, i want to convert it to an mp4 for the ipod with the subtitles. i dont know how to without the srt file being separate

42.Posted by calumais on Feb 04 2007 at 09:57

well , i am stuck , i try to put this movie on a dvd with the subtitles but i don't see if converttodvd do it . anyone got a idea on what software to use ??
thx!

43.Posted by chopstickslapper on Feb 04 2007 at 12:14

VSOConvertXtoDVD will do it once you have opened your avi right click on it and select add subtitle channel!!! Then add the .srt file!

44.Posted by businessbhoy on Feb 04 2007 at 12:24

Thanks AXXO - always to be relied upon

**ATTENTION FOR SUBTITLES - Guys, had to work on this for a while, here is EXACT instruction for enabling subbies - The way I did it was to download 'Media Player Classic' (Takes 30 secs, easy), and once you are in it, go via;

view->options->output and check vmr7 (renderless**) - now click apply and OK.

Exit and play the movie through Media player classic now - This will pick up on the subbies, it definitly works - For the posters who dont have the patience with members who are not 'whizzkids' shame on you - we gotta help each other on here - Thanks for the other folks ho posted help on the subbies - If you follow these directions I am sure it will work.

;) Good luck, Slainte !!

:? downloaded windows media player classic and changed the options as suggested above and it didn't work for me (thanks for the suggestion though). So even though this torrent took forever to download, I think I will go with the other torrent listed above if the subs are already included....others may want to do that as well.

47.Posted by Scarysecrets on Feb 04 2007 at 20:21

Ok so... Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that this is available, and thank you AXXO for releasing it for us (and so many other awesome movies!) But the whole subtitle thing is a nightmare, I tried every single thing everybody had recommended and nothing worked. And that makes me pretty angry because everybody made it seem like if you have the classic media player, you are set...definately not! :X Maybe next time, for us dumb-computer users...the subtitles could be encoded.

Finally I had to download the VLC player and add the fix that portezbieposted, thanks so much for that! :)

FINALLY IT WORKS and it is great quality, thanks!

48.Posted by pathetik on Feb 04 2007 at 21:40

Thx for your time portezbie

But I don't want to read a movie
Iwould like to watch and listen to it

I'll wait for the ENG version :X

49.Posted by rraakk1010 on Feb 05 2007 at 02:28

Ok, ok....at the risk of being chastised I can admit that I am a newbie and have to ask a question.....is there any way I can burn this movie once I have converted it to DVD format and have the subs up on the screen????

50.Posted by cpalaka on Feb 05 2007 at 04:07

so if you dot the media player classic thing, the subs are permanently on the avi?

51.Posted by pathetik on Feb 05 2007 at 06:35

THANKS for the 411 eejjah
I'm an ass...

Hey guys... This movie is real..but one thing IT'S NOT ENGLISH VERSION

53.Posted by Dylise on Feb 05 2007 at 22:59

The only question I have is this...I know how to play movies and use the Subtitles...but...when I play the movie..some of the code <font color="#ffffff"> show up before each time someone speaks. I can watch the movie like this no problem but since I know this is a simple problem to fix I would like to know if anyone can help me. I know I am supposed to open the file in word pad and edit it...but after I edit this document...how do i save it so it remains a SRT file and NOT a wordpad document? if anyone can help with that question I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You Much

Thank You aXXo for another Wonderful Release :)

54.Posted by Dylise on Feb 05 2007 at 23:06

nvm on the last post. portezbie....( i think that is how you spell your name) you rule also.
thank you much

Dylise

55.Posted by kerplunk on Feb 06 2007 at 00:06

i also had the <font... problem, i just used find and replace in notepad and it worked fine. Thanks for the tip folks. i had to tell VLC what file the subs were in, but that was pretty easy to figure out, it's an option when you click Open...

Dylise- if notepad saves it as a different type of document, just rename it with the .srt extension later instead of whatever it gives it

56.Posted by Sampa on Feb 06 2007 at 00:36

This with legend in English? How it makes to download without the legend? I am in Brazil and I want to place the legend in Portuguese

Thank you

57.Posted by cpalaka on Feb 06 2007 at 12:40

well, then how did that guy hard encode the subs, cause i dont want to download the whole movie over again

58.Posted by rraakk1010 on Feb 07 2007 at 02:22

I can tell you how to hard encode the subs but for some reason the site won't let me post the info!

59.Posted by rraakk1010 on Feb 07 2007 at 02:26

tell me folks will this burn on nero vision 4 I think my software is can someone tell me how

63.Posted by havanother on Feb 09 2007 at 12:00

aXXo, you're the bomb. Fantastic work, top quality as always.

For the folks above who are waiting for the English version, you might be waiting a long time, it's not an English film.

Thanks to all of the above for posting suggestions regarding the srt file. While I love aXXo releases, I'll admit, the srt file is a pain. I'm on a Mac (yeah, I know 99% of you just switched off) so a lot of the software you PC guys use, isn't available to me. However, if there are any other Mac users out there, DivX player or Quicktime with the latest codecs works.

You'll want to DL the 'unformatted' version from the posts above though as the formatting instructions before each sentence gets confusing.

Once again, thanks aXXo. ;)

probs with subtitles?

thanx to all on this board i found this to be the best way (noob friendly)

1. delete the SUBTITLE (.srt) file that came with the movie: Pan's.Labyrinth[2006]DvDrip[Eng.Sub]-aXXo

not sure which one? File TYPE= SRT; SIZE= 92Kb

2. grab portezbie's cool subtitle update (spelling inc!!) from post#35 above

3. save in yr "pan's labyrinth" folder and rename Pan's.Labyrinth[2006]DvDrip[Eng.Sub]-aXXo

4. open with VLC media player - download at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Probs with codecs???
Am using FFD Show downloaded from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm
&
AC3 filter from
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ac3filter.cfm

Dolby filtering/noise red. etc available - easy to use, sounds good too!!

cheers

91.Posted by Harbl on May 07 2007 at 19:23

Also, if you're having problems with the subs try this with VLC.

Open VLC, click File > Open File

A window should pop up. The top part you direct it to the video file.

Click the check box that says subtitles, then direct it to the .srt file.

This is the same thing I do for all my movies with subs, always works, and worked like a charm for this one as well.

Also, amazing upload aXXo, thank you :)

92.Posted by ThaSkaMan on May 10 2007 at 02:09

ok I already know that the subs are whacked and have downloaded the better version online now. :)
problem is I already know VLC will play both perfectly fine, but I'm trying to Mux them together (srt into avi) so I can watch the data on my divx dvd player. I've done VobSub, AviSynth, tried even doing AutoGK...nothing works in muxing the files together. :?
What am I doing wrong here?? I've goggled it a ton and cant find any documentation explaining where I'm not muxing corrently.
Any help?? :r

axx0 said: "There are not english dubbed versions of this film.
English subs are included (.srt)"

As far as I can tell he is correct. This will cost the production company millions in DVD sales. And it should. Many people will not bother with a film they can only understand with subtitles. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact that they have produced versions dubbed in evrey other major language EXCEPT English. I can think of no other reason for this than an anti-American bias. They say the movie should of been a serious Academy Award contender. The producers can thank themselves that it wasn't.

Hi aXXo thanks for taking the time to download. >-)

I also have the same prob as comment 90. I read down to comment 94, and tried to follow the directions but found it confusing...still have the fonts included along the same line as the english subtitles.

This is comment 94's directions:

They said...

"Also, if you're having problems with the subs try this with VLC.

Open VLC, click File > Open File

A window should pop up. The top part you direct it to the video file.

Click the check box that says subtitles, then direct it to the .srt file."

I got the window open but didn't understand the rest. Someone pls explain to me in abc terms i'm blonde and I like it spelt out.

:+

Btw, any chance of getting subtitles included if I burn to disk for dvd play? Tried it but no subtitles. So does this mean I can only play and view on my VLC player on the comp?? :?

You can use VSO ConvertXtoDVD or DVDSanta to convert with subs.
Both programs are easy to use.

this download works just fine with nero showtime as do all axxo movies

Geez why are so many people :r :r with subtitles? I'd rather listen to the original soundtrack w/subs than some awful dub with lousy voiceover actors.

Anyway it's a great movie and exc. quality d/load.

another axxo 5 star. congrats

my computer uses windows dvd maker and it converts it all while burning...i want to know if by doing it this way if it will pick up the subtitles or if there is something i have to mess with on the dvd maker to pick it up.

If you are looking for the corrected subtitles, you can download them from here:

http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitles/3145214/laberinto-del-fauno-el-en

I would recommend copying and pasting these lines OVER those in the version you get with the download. Then just save and play. Will work fine.
