I'm new to this site - Mininova - just came over from Torrentspy.
Have only been able to download 27mbs in 40mins so far. Hopefully other movies will be quicker to download.

What speeds are you getting? that helps for a start. Not, "how do I increase my dl speed"
Firstly what Client? Use Utorrent.
What type of connection do you have? Whats your upload limit?
Average DSL is 2mb(22okbs) down 256kb (30kb/s)up. To get this to come down faster, roughly half your upload speed to around 13. Cable, you'll need to go lower as you normally only have 13kb/s upload already.

I found this speeds up the download speed no end. But, you'll need to speed up your upload after to keep your share ratio positive won't you!! So basically, what difference does it make if it comes fast or slow, its sharing so keep your stats to at least 1.5.

Me, I'm on adsl2+ but I leave my upload on full, around 130kb/s and this keeps my d/l to 150 out of a possible 1500 but I always have uploaded more than I download when finished. Just do your d/l when in bed then you don't notice how fast or slow, its just there in the morning
