No my man this torrent is good the qality is very good no problems in That I´ve downloaded and its the Best every ep is 700 MB its perfecT YOU MUST BE MISSING SOME CODECS try the K-Lite Pack just google it

It is not widescreen of coarse, because The Wire was filmed in 4:3. Back in 2001 HD and 16:9 was not common at all and since this went straight onto tv, no theater, it was filmed for TV watchers.

Thanx to the uploader for this, haven't checked quality yet but i am sure from other comments it is 5/5 all around.

Hello, i am have the same audio problem as mgrayo01. i have tried to play in vlc, divx and quicktime. i am a mac user and there is no mac os x version of K-Lite Pack. can anyone suggest anything else? please please please i'm hanging to see this!

I tried to download this and I got an unfriendly e-mail from my ISP. Basically it said that HBO detected activity from my IP that was involved with the transfer of this torrent and its files; they demanded that I cease sharing the files and said they (HBO)might prosecute and my ISP, which I adore, may discontinue my service. This is not the first e-mail like this that I have received - earlier ones were also for downloading HBO material. I don't know what the deal is with HBO files, but they are almost always the reason behind threatening cease and desist e-mails from my ISP. I know before I got burned from downloading The Sopranos and now I get hassled once again for The Wire.

So this is just a warning for anyone out there. If anyone would know exactly what the hell happened and if there is some way to prevent this from occurring again outside of ********** abstinence, I would be grateful to be informed of any remedy to this somewhat serious issue. Thanks.
