and just for other informations i play your first part with my swap magix and it is ok i have 6h00 playing game and the game crash( i have a save point an i see a beautiful castle and i have no music and the game stop).
with your second part i load my game with the last save point and i continue play with my swap magix is that ok.

shasso, Sorry im not understanding. So what you are saying is that there are no cutscenes in the first disc, and there are cutscenes in the 2nd disc?

1. I'm not sure what this means. Are you saying that you removed the cut scenes from the first disk and added those scenes to the 2nd disc? If so, then you wouldn't see them like you are supposed to see them during the game - because they show up in the 2nd disc later, am i right?
2. Or are the cutscenes still there in both discs and you would see them as you normally would if you played a real copy, then why would you have to remove them if they are already included - Are the cutscenes on the same disc twice for some reason?

I will be testing this soon, I don't mind having 2 discs for the game, this way layer 0 (first layer) is full quality and now this Layer 1 (second layer) is the same. You get the full video quality, just two discs...beautiful work. Will be testing soon.

^^^it's not weird, you also connect to the peers who haven't finished, so anyone with more than you will be sending it to you, until you reach a point where you have more or as much as them, then it will slow down.

This doesn't work for me, I get the same problem. At the great chasm where you see Icarus the cutscene doesn't load as if the second layer is missing.
Also, you can visibly see Icarus disappear underneath the bridge he just "glitches" away.
The credits howerver do work in the bonuses and when you check the actual ISO you can see there IS an part2.pak file there (unlike the first half) however, the part2.pak file is only 1kb in size, I reckon there's no data on it.
At least I think that's what the problem is. So yeah, thanks for the uplaod Sassho, the first half worked fine but this ISO seems to be missing the second layer.
Damn, I was looking forward to it as well.

but be careful dont lose the battle with icarus cause if you press the last checkpoint option wont do anything . After the battle save the game and all works perfect ( i havent finished the game i just played the second layer for 5 minutes )

guys i,dont know how this didn,t work for u i use swapmagic 3,6 to start part two u had to save the game in the last check point at the begining of the bridge before u fight icarus in disk one then load the second disk from this point it should works fine part2.pak is 2 kbs i shold do this to rebuld the game make sure that u load this point
so if u load the game from this point it should work proberly till the end make sure u,re using good media and burn with alcohol

Maybe the reason why PART2.PAK is so small a file is that when Shasso merged both layers of the disc so that it would continue to last save point in layer 1, maybe shasso renamed the merged files as PART1.PAK because he will be burning this on a DVD5 DVD-R.
to SHASSO, I am not doubting your upload because some people already testified that it's working. I'd just like to ask because I was reading posts from alucard and I can't see any post saying the possibility of what you did (splitting the game into 2 DVD5).
How did you do this?

I got it to work. I just kept on pausing the game using SELECT.
So basically, before I jumped over the liitle gap to the Icarus bridge i pressed select, waited about 30 seconds. Then did the same on Icarus' bridge, then got the cutscene.
Also I turned Widescreen OFF. I did that at the main menu then loaded my game and had to do that again.
See if it works anyone having trouble, it worked for me.

To SHASSO again,
The last savepoint before Icarus is on layer 1 (PART1.PAK) and the Icarus battle is on the 2nd layer of the original disc (PART2.PAK). How did you put the part after the savepoint (which is actually on 1st layer) so that it would play on this rip you made which is basically the second layer?

i am having a problem...the part after you cross the bridge and when you get the slow motion time ability...the game gives a black screen as i am going up in th statues hand..if anybody knows what part this is please respond or if you had the same problem please help...ive burned the game 3 times at 1x(min speed) using dvd decrypter..

If you are using a 16X speed DVD-R, do not burn it at 1X speed. at least burn it at 4X.
To Shasso,
I already have a ripped of the first layer (not the one you uploaded). I got it from other iploads which is basically the first layer.
Will I be able to continue using the saved game from this?

og2000 yes u should play it in fullscreen mode i had to do this to keep all the cutscenes like original (for the guys that r interested in playin it in wide screenmode i can make a special release for them and i think it,s not a big deal as long as u play it with the best quality )

Use DVDDecrypter when burning the disc and if possible set your burner booktype to DVD-ROM.
Or use alcohol 120 to burn the disc.

ArabianC4 i,m sorry that u burn 4-dvds make sure that u downloaded the full iso right click on the torrent in ur program and make manual hash check to make sure that u downloaded the whole iso the game size shold be

Im sorry if i didnt make it clear for you guys.Shasso The four DvD-Rs (GoD 2 par1 and part2) are working fine from the start of the game till the the great chasm Point (the bridge) after that the music and icurus disappears and thats what i meant by saying its not working in my previous post is that u cant get after the great chasm Point.

ArabianC4 if u downloaded part two u should pass this point as long as u saved the game at the end of part one and in part 2 u,re not supposed to play
the first half of the game ,in this part u play the second half so i don,t know what u did wrong u shold make widescreen off in option menu if u did all that the game shold work fine and the loading time is supposed to be fast

I am playing in easy mode, with widescreen off.
Once the cutscene had loaded and I defeated Icarus I had no problems with 'restart from last checkpoint' but cannot say what happens if you lose the battle with him.

shasso2000 could you please help me.
I have downloaded DVD9 version and tried to rebuild myself to have it on 2 DVD5. I have a problem with second layer. I load my save on the bridge and I have the Icarus FMV but games hangs when the FMV ends and fight should start. I did as follow: extracted both layers with Apache, then merged part1+part2, then in expert extract LBA, extract File, I have dummied all PSS and PSW files named PART1XXX and PSW files named PART2XXX, then I compressed a little all PSS files named PART2XXX, and then with apache rebuild file and rebuild LBA, then with CDDVDGen i have build ISO using new PART1.pak, new GODOFWAR.TOC and PART2.pak dummied. is there something else I should do, I have no more ideas , please help me.

If the first upload doesn't work, just download other torrent file.
Then you can continue the game using this second part uploaded by Shasso.
And people, please open your upload rate a little bit. I only downloaded about 1 GB since yesterday but my upload is already 4GB. I wish people would do the same. Torrent is a give and take relationship. Some people only take but don't give. If everybody are like these people, the peer to peer community wouldnt exist.

i am having a problem...the part after you cross the bridge and when you get the slow motion time ability...the game gives a black screen as i am going up in th statues hand..if anybody knows what part this is please respond or if you had the same problem please help...ive burned the game 3 times at 1x(min speed) using dvd decrypter..
this keeps happening in the same exact place...as i am rising in the statues hands after the slo-mo ability is gained...the screen goes black..

SHASSO your R GOD... You've managed to spare me from purchasing a DVD-9. I hope more people start uploading DUAL LAYER games like this (2 regular DVD-5's)... Ur a GEnius!!!!! BTW this game is CRAZYYYYYY.. Cant wait for the Ps3 version.. Assasin's Creed has a GOW vibe to it though.....

i still cant get pass the ikarus bridge. i burned on Verbatim DVD at 4x speed and using swap magic could you please be more specific about where you are pausing the game or jumping etc?

shasso2000, u really reach the end of the game?...nice...that means you 2 parts really work...i'm already downloading the first part from torrentbox, and after that I start to download this second part... i know how to change the dvds with swapmagic, first a play the game with the first part...and then before the fight with icarus a save the game, and change with swapmagic to second part, like u told to do...and yes a know about the widescreen thing...no widescreen for the second part,lol...and thanks for this 2 parts...
just two questions, maybe, u already say it, but, which program do you advise me to burn this 2 parts, nero or alcohol?...and how i burn them?..because, I always use nero7 at 4x...

Guys, I am stuck at the great chasm stage on the first layer. I CAN'T SAVE ON THE SAVE POINT AT THE FOOT OF THE BRIDGE. My last save point is before you dangle on the multiple crumbling pillars/platforms.
Is this here where really I'm supposed to be stuck on the first layer or is it supposed to be on the foot of the bridge after coming out of the cave after the multiple dangling part.
Please help!

To shasso (and everyone who knows the answer),
Since I can't save on the save point on Icarus Bridge (my last save is on the crumbling bridges/platforms where you have to dangle many times using R1 button), can I just swap this Part 2 DISC when I enter that stage (Great Chasm) without turning off my PS2 and without saving and use this Disc 2 to save my progress there?

Load up disk 2 and load my save game at great chasm but still crashes when I approach Icarus. He is hanging under the bridge goes to move then disappears and then I'm stuck with nothing to do. Any ideas?

anybody when u download the torrent after u finish downkloadin right click and make a manual hash check to make sure u have 100% of the iso

ok i got it figured out, i replayed the level and instead of going straight to the save point i attacked a few enemies and then i went to the save point. I hope i can beat the game ...

still get no results...
i'm on the bridge(saved NOT in full screen mode),wait a while on the first part of the bridge,press select(as it was suggested)wait again but as i jump on the second part of the bridge surround music stops and no icarus scene loads as i approach bridge's edge.
used alchol 120% at is lowest speed on a verbatim dvd.
where am i wrong?
does it happen the same to you?
p.s. strange fact:if i try to quit the game on the bridge the game stops "loading" and loading on.....

This second part is for FULLSCREEN Mode of play. Since you played in Widescreen for first part (layer 1) you wouldn't be able to continue playing using this part in Fullscreen .
Better play again in Fullscreen or try to find if Shasso already made a Widescreen mode seconda part.

1)put disk 2 BEFORE crossing the bridge
2)with disk 2 on load last save on the bridge
3)before crossing the bridge put WIDESCREEN OFF

Shasso will you be making the Widescreen release? I play the game on my Widescreen TV so I constantly have to restart for every cutscene, changing it back to Normal (4:3) mode. Then I play in 16:9 mode, get stuck at a cutscene, change, etc. Could you please make a widescreen release?

Need help (*SPOILER*)
Has anyone else played with this ISO to the point where Atlas is supposed to crush Kratos in his hand? I break the chain and the screen just goes black (there's supposed to be a cutscene with Atlas & Kratos, from what I've read online).
Is this a problem with this distro?

I've downloaded this distro and it seems to work - at least past the Icarus Bridge point till the beginning of Atlas. What I did was this:
1) Use any other distro to play the game till the part just before "Crossing of the Lowlands" - the one where you need to swing from column to column and everything falls apart around you.
2) Save your game.
3) Turn off PS2.
4) Insert the disc of this distro.
5) Boot up and load your game.
6) Play "Crossing of the Lowlands".
7) When you reach the save point of "The Great Chasm", try saving your game to a different slot. If it works, you should be able to play on.
N.B. I haven't played much beyond this point so I'm not sure if it will lockup later on at any point. I will keep everyone updated. This distro is a work of art, kudos to Shasso who did it. The original version is worth getting, especially the NTSC version which has an unlockable 480p mode.

I downloaded this through utorrent and then burned it with Alcohol 120%.
After loading it up in my PS2, i loaded up my saved game from the 'crossing of the lowlands' and it worked first time!
No more problems!!!

Hey everyone!!
Now I'm not sure if this discussion's alive... but i'm giving a shot...
I downloaded this torrent around the time it was released (March or so), but burnt it onto DVD-R's only last week...
The first part (godwr2.iso) was working fine and i was totally surprised to see how it all really works!! But when i reached the part where u fight and kill the Barbarian King, the game gets stuck and shows the LOADING... icon below 
. I tried waiting for a long time but it never loaded...

Then i tried putting the second part, thinking that this was where the second half began. But when i inserted the second DVD-R (GODWR2P2-www.zamalek.tv.iso) and loaded the save (just before The Bog of the Forgotten) and played from there, the game doesn't even show the cutscene with the Barbarian King and instead shows a black screen!! 
Can someone please help me out and tell me if I have a problem with my first DVD or second??
BTW: I burnt using PowerISO at 4x speed, IMATION DVD-R's, playing in full-screen mode.

shasso2000 i have downloaded and burnt it.the game works fine till i try to save my game.It gives an error "Error saving game data". i played the game for 3 hours hoping it will allow me to save at later save point.But all my tries were hopeless.
i played differnt game and all of them save thier profile successfully.
Has anybody else having the same problem

I hvng a prob ...my ps2 , 1st it ws original ps2 which original games works. so last week i had modify my ps2 by instertng the chip , which pritated games which works. and it is working whic i buy the pritated cd from that guy which he modify my ps2.....but the dvd ws luking like a simple blank dvd which means there is no printed in frontside of dvd means that"god of war". it ws simple dvd. but when i buy anther dvd game GOW2 from another place which ws printed in frontside that ws not working .... so i asked him abt this prob he said that "that ws ur lens prob" but prob is not that and he said that " dont buy dvds 2 any others shops jst buy from me" before i modify ps2 i singned in side my lens with the marker .....so plz help me this ....ask ur frds abt thia prob..............plz...
