No point in downloading as they're not accepting joins.

They are accepting joins in underground-gamer (which is the site where the tracker is coming from). I went there personally myself. Now, although I know what you mean as to they're not accepting any joins...but the trick is if you get on the site at around the same time I did (around 3am) then just keep trying about every 10 minutes and you'll see the registration page available. How is this possible? I don't know but I have a guess or two.

At some point in time the site suggests that you can head over to one of their ICQ channels (#invites) and ask in the open for an invitation. Their rules are strict, but very well worth if you're not the selfish type. You can't PM anyone in the ICQ channel room and you MUST read the FAQ section before requesting for an invite.... (to be continued down below...).......

...(continued)....

I'll tell you right now that no one gave me an invite and I was on there for about an hour. However, I remembered that somewhere in the site I read that accounts are pruned quite often, so opportunities to sign up is not all that impossible or too difficult. So I decided to try the Register link one more time and BAM, the registration application popped up on my screen. I immediately signed up and, lo-and-behold, I was in. I'll tell you another thing...you canNOT function on that site without getting a very good handle on the FAQ section, which is very vital to keeping your account active. They have some soft of an Accountability system that helps hold everyone accountable for sharing the game torrents without trying to sneak a bunch of downloads and not share-the-love in return. So that's fair in my opinion.

Just keep trying, but real late hours, though. That's when the gate-way to game heaven opens. Best wishes.

Oh, and additionally, the Dreamcast games are raw....non-self-bootable. However, I have a commandline bin2boot-cdda executable that converts the game's BIN to a burnable .CDI image, which you can only burn in DiscJuggler or-the program I used-Alcohol 120% as TAO, which burns the .CDI as a SELF-Bootable game. The entire process is literally lightning fast to make it into a .cdi...I counted!! 36 seconds for me! Opened bin2boot...called out the program to the game's bin...it converts it in not even a full 40 seconds and there ya have it...a working .cdi image and all you need is Alcohol 120% to burn it to a CD-R (not cd-rw) and pop that bad boy in your DC and live the good days again. I got a few games already that I've burned successfully and very excited to resurrect the coolest console, in my opinion...Sega Dreamcast.

Look at this site: http://www.videogamer.com/news/06-12-2007-7049.html possibly Dreamcast 2??

That is extremely Useful information Kal-El77! :)
I do have a question though, How did you change the RAW data into an .CDI self-bootable image?

Please forgive me for not realizing your post earlier. I thought this site would email me posts in reply to my own, but I can now see how that's not practical.

This post will be a bit lengthy, so it'll be a couple post-submissions, but I'll "continue" it in the following entries.

Well after having to have downloaded a bunch of junk in pursuit of finding a nice proggy that'll help me do the job, I used the program that I already mentioned above called "bin2boot". There are two kinds.... just the regular BIN2BOOT and the BIN2BOOT-CDDA (with the audio .wav files included). So I just simply used the BIN2BOOT-CDDA program. So here's what I did:

1) I downloaded the Dreamcast game that I like and uTorrent (my bittorrent client) goes ahead and downloads it into a particular directory on the computer, no problem.

...(continued from above)...

2) Now, the game that I downloaded will normally be this one single folder and, within that folder, are a bunch of files numbered like this: 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, etc.

The first file, which is 001, will open with WinRar. When I double click on the program it may seem like it's a file extension not associated with any program, but that's ok. Just right-clicked on the file and selected Open With, another window opens up prompting me to navigate through my computer so I can manually choose what program I would like to use to open up the 001 file. I chose WinRAR and extracted the the 001 file into the SAME game folder I downloaded. When I did this, another yellow folder was released. In this folder I found a .BIN and .CUE file.

...(continued from above)...

3) Then I pasted the Bin2Boot-CDDA program INSIDE the game folder that contains the .BIN and .CUE file.

4) I launched the Bin2boot-cdda program, which is essentially a command prompt windows with an instruction on it. A very simply one. Just follow it. It'll ask you to type the NAME of the game FILE. So, if I downloaded the Power Stone 2 game from www.underground-gamer.com, this 001 file will be titled "kal-ps2u" (WITHOUT the quotes). When I extract this 001 file with WinRAR, it'll spit out a yellow folder witn the .BIN and .CUE files holding the same name: kal-ps2u. So then if I launch...

...(continued from above)...

...So then if I launch the Bin2Boot-CDDA program (which is a command prompt), it'll ask me to type in the NAME of the game, bin or cue. Since I used the CDDA version of Bin2Boot, I typed in the CUE extension after the game's name. So that would be: kal-ps2u.CUE into the command prompt. Then the Command Prompt will do it's thing and spit out a .CDI file that is now burnable with ALCOHOL 120% using the TAO mode.

Burn unto the CD at the lowest speed setting possible.

Oh, additionally...you can just use the Dreamcast Utopia Boot Loader v1.2 that'll let you play the raw games without needing to convert the games into .CDI. Just keep in mind that you'll always have to use this Boot Loader CD to be placed into the Dreamcast first every single time you want to play a game.

I have both the self-booting method I use and the Dreamcast Utopia 1.2 disc and I enjoy them both.

I've come across one or two games in which their .CDI images were not burnable and I don't know why. Alcohol 120% gave me an error code. For example, I burned the first CD to Resident Evil:Code Veronica just fine and I was playing it while I was burning the second CD...but to no avail. Still trying to find out why.

Hope any of this helps. Be blessed.
