Reminder, this doesnt need mounting at all. BUT
there's a but, if you do install Daemon Tools, it will try to install a toolbar that some consider to be "spyware", yes the big word: spyware.
BUT
there's another but, if you uncheck a litlle box while installing, it will NOT install the toolbar and the installtion will be spyware free, if
there's a IF, you do not click too fast and uncheck the toolbar installation.

punjabi: downloaded, it's not a problem, installed, it depends. When installing, read each window slowly before pressing ok/next. you'll get to the toolbar installation eventually. just uncheck the little box and it won't install the toolbar.
BTW, you can google this (copy-paste): "daemon tools" spyware. You'll see what I meant
if it's installed, I guess/hope an uninstall should fix it. Again, google in case of trouble.

its not my comp specs that cant play it, its the game, nothing happens. i dl it, winrar the hdx application, clicked on it, read through the info, the little music icon does nothing, and the photo of rainbow six vegas just stays there, doing nothing? am i missing something? do i have to do something with the 7Z file? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're supposed to extract the file (7Z) to a folder and then double-click on the exe, like dopeman explained. Isnt' that what you did?
And you seems sure your comp can play the game, did u look at what's asked as computer hardware to play this?

all in one folder, open application hdx, and nothing happens, just a little box with las vegas with a X, music symbol, and ?
the x closes, music does nothing, ? just gives me info, and thats it, nothing load or anything.
have i missed something here? i dont need to mount it or anything, i just cant find any .exe file.
and yes my comp is well over the recommended specs for whats required, the problem is that the game doesnt load or anything, specs surely dont have anything to do with that?

Well I'm sure we have another case of 'my computer is well over the recommened specs' disease. You guys need to understand exactly what the specs mean. YOU need SHADER SUPPORT 3.0 on your GFX card or this game is not going to run. You still have not replied that you have taken the test in comment #4 therefore I must assume what I have just said.
First TAKE THE TEST>
SEcond. I have no idea what winrared hdx-v104
that file is or where you got it.
This download contains 4 FILES.
#1 Rainbow Six Vegas.7z
#2 trainer1.4.rar
#3 DOPEMAN GAMES
#4 dopeman.nfo
ALL you need to do is unrar Rainbow Six Vegas.7z with winrar 3.62 version or above.
THEN, Start the game from R6Vegas_Game.exe inside the games /binary folder.
Thats it.
But I doubt your system will run this if you havent nbeen able to even get this far.

I see what you are trying to do now.
You are trying to start the game from the trainer.
Do yourself a favor and delete the enitre file 'trainer1.4.rar'
Pretend it never exsited, its only a cheat, has NNOTHING to do w/ the game itself and its surely confusing you.
Get rid of it. And follow the steps in the comment above I have explained, which are ALSO stated directly in the nfo.

turns out my winrar was out of date, updated it to 3.7 and all is good now. and like i said b4, my computer specs are fine, it runs pretty well with 7800gtx so all good. just one thing, it asks for serial number when trying to play multi player? any help there mate

Yeah, unfortunatley you would have to purchase the game, as each game comes special coded and tracked through their internet connection, kinda like a beta-key situation that we all saw with TDU.
So, no unfortuantely not.
But, very happy to hear you got it going, just if ya ever need help with stuff from here on , please post as much detailed info as ya can or myself and mack or going to assume a lot of things. Makes its a lot easier for us to help.

i run the detectionui_r.exe and Your system is compliant to all the minimum requirements to be able to play the game, but not all the recommended requirements are satisfied. You can look at the Details for more information.

it's very easy to solve the error
XINPUT1_3.dll and d3dx9_31.dll are missing...
if you installed directX in your system folder(WINDOWS folder)
you go to the sytem folder end select al (.cab) archives en extract them in the same map! now it will work!! and if u get a black screen ur system doesn´t have the minimum requirements!

Ok, I finished the download, used 3.70 WinRAR to Extract. Extracted it to my desktop. I opened the folder, went to binaries, then down to the R6_Vegas_game, clicked it and it comes to the loading screen where 3 guys are running and it says loading under them, they lag.. lag again then freeze. I get an Error saying
(X) Cannot load resources from 'file:/C%3A/Documents and Settings/USER/My documents/ubisoft/R6Vegas/Rainbow 6 Vegas/Binaries/wxRC/R6Sound/xrc then when you press for more details you can see it's not just the sound .xrc it's all of them.
I have passed the performance tests by both WinRar and Ubi on the game and I have no other errors.
If anyone is willing to help or has found an answer to this problem please respond.

ppl if you're missing some files there's a logic solution: download them from dll-files.com (the only site tu trust in my opinion)
just enter then name of the file, download it and put it in your windows/system folder (there's always a readme file in each zip to explain you this)

hi,
i had this problem with the directx thing but got the latest DX update. and i went to the site which test ur pc's specs and passed.when i double click on the game.exe it will not start. my windows firewall asks me if i want to block the game and when i click no....nothing happens. ive tried extracting it to the programs file..and it still wont work.
one more thing is it normal for winrar to report 2000+ errors because im using the winrar 3.70v. this was also mentioned in dopemans upload GRAW post 8 but didnt get answered.
ive downloaded the game 4 times now....and it so frastrating. i ve clicked on force recheck to see if there are any missing bit but no there arent.

hey gu, this is my first ever PC game download.. so im not really sure what you guys mean when you say Daemon Tools and "Mounting" the game.
I download the file, and extracted it with Winrar.
When I click on the exe. file , it says "This application has failed because wxmsw253u.dll was not found". When I went on the website www.dll-files.com , I couldn't find that file.

I can't seem to run it.

I downloaded a crack for it so i have the exe file now but it says.

alright, so i've done the system requirements test and passed. i've downloaded it, unrared it, and pasted the missing files into the system folder. when i start the game, it displays an all black screen with the word Loading, and then a few guys running above it. and then the game turns off and it goes back to windows-anny ideas?

I also have the problem where I click on the R6_Vegas.exe and it does nothing. I have a pretty good computer, the System Requirements website says me computer will run it fine. However, when I click on Detectionui_r in the Detection folder it has ticks in every box but one. The only box that has a X in it is CPU Frequency in the recommended coloumn. Shouldn't my AMD 64 5600 DualCore Processor by alright to run this game?

The game works fine for me (thx Dopeman) you guys must be doing something wrong.
Make sure you comp can even manage to run the game, spec wise.
Read post 25 to get it working, thats all there is to it.

Ok I got it to work. If you get the same problem I did earlier all you need to do is extract the whole game again (dont worry about the trainer thing) but extract it to a different folder or even to your desktop (thats what I did). Then you just google the missing .dll files and you will find a website to download them from. Don't save these .dll files in the Rainbow Six folder. Once you have saved them somewhere else, extract the files to the Binaries folder. Then double click R6_Vegas.exe. This worked for me.

Wazzup guys having a problem here, I downloaded the torrent,(I know my pc can handle the game - 8800GT), extracted the Rainbow Six rar,(once to my desktop, one in the download folder), ran the .exe file, and it gets to the part where it says loading and the three guys running and nothing happens, it keeps saying loading and the guys keep running for ever.

Is there a way to update this to 1.06? I downloaded the patch, but when I run it, it comes up with an error saying "Cannot find installation folder. Aborting setup".
I ASSUME it's because of the nature of this rip where you just unzip and play...? If there's no installation, how is one suppose to update?

hi, thanks for the game; it seems cool everything, but i'm having a couple of problems with the controls. the first one being that i can't get it to read my 360 controller. secondly, when i try to play the game with the mouse/keyboard setup, i can't seem to change the aim direction -- the character only moves with the w,a,s,d keys and doesn't turn at all. Did the uploader delete all the video files or something?? I played this on the xbox 360, but my disc got DRE'd like crazy so i downloaded it for the PC, and I can't see any of the videos patched through to Logan.
This is VERY problematic because it doesn't count the checkpoint as being completed without those videos, so I was able to get through the first 2, but now I don't know where to go since it still is waitng fro me to finish the video!

I tried it the first time it works. The second time i tried to start it. I couldn't look around. In the menu my mouse works but in game, only mouse 1 2 3 etc. works i could look around. Somebody knows something?

This was a really weird experience for me. I download the rar, extracted it but when I click on the .exe(not the launcher) nothing happened... nothing showed up at all, no errors no thing(Same with hatred's torrent) . However I did get the game running by click on detectionui_r which is located in the detection folder. Just click on launch game in detectionui_r. I got a pretty good rig, 8800GTS G92 =P. Btw I got a question, can you change graphic settings in this game? AA? AF?

PLEASE READ THIS
If nothing happens when you click on the .exe file you need to make a new folder(name it w/e you want) in the PROGRAM FILE directory.(thats how I got it working and I recommend every one make a new folder) Also keeping mind that this rip does not include video cut scenes which screws up half of the game. Remember when you rescued the hostages on train yard level your game can't be saved because there is no videos? (Read comment 105) I uploaded all the video file from HATRD's torrent here

where you can download it and extract it to your game file kellergame/contents/movies to fix this problem. I have done it and it works, now I have the video after rescuing the hostages and it save it as a checkpoint.

I'm not going to lie to you. This torrent is pretty much pointless without the ability to update or get past the train part due to the missing movie files, which pk7677 uploaded, but sadly I cannot download past 1.3%.

omg for those people who say they double clicked the exe file and didn't open up, i think its cos we have vista...because when you open the ReadMe file in the rain bow six vegas folder and scroll down to where the system requirements are and it says thats its windows xp (only)....awe im so dissapointed i really wanted to play this game...

do what the other comments have been instructing you to cos they work....extract the win rar thing to another loaction...i did it to my desktop....go on binaries folder and double click on the icon and walla works perfectly...

I love the game... love the dopeman uploads.. love torrents. but i hate getting stuck.. the game wont move to next objective after saving first lot of hostages, keeps showing SAME objective marker... try and work that one out dopeman...

To whom it concerns, I did the minimum requirement test on my home pc to see if I could run Halo 2 [dopemans version of course] and that pc is running xp and the graphics card did not meet the minimum requirements and it still worked on that pc. I thank [dopeman] once again for that. So just cause that web site requirement test says no you can still try, it might work.

well ok.... since i've noticed that some ppl dont like to read everything posted here ill do a lil resume....
1)THE "INSTALL":
this is a rip version of rainbow six, it means that somethings like videos, sounds etc were deleted, so, ALL you need to do is unrar(to a folder like C: D: etc..) Rainbow Six Vegas.7z with winrar 3.62 version or above.
THEN, Start the game from R6Vegas_Game.exe inside the games /binary folder.
2)dll missing ppl:
install the latest directx drive and u should get rid of this problem...
3)can't go after rescue the hostages on trainyard:
download the videos from here:

extract it to your game file kellergame/contents/movies to fix this problem...

Yep, i got the wide screen tweak to work.
Just go to;
C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Ubisoft\R6Vegas
There should be a few files including the save files and game config. Replace the old R6GameConfig file with the wide screen tweak (you may want to back it up). Rename the tweak to "R6GameConfig". When you start the game it will automatically have your desired wide screen resolution. Have fun

But i got a problem here....in game there seem like a problem wif the in game view...which there's sort of glitching sight which covers my view and its very hard to see it any clue???. Click on the rainbow six vegas 27.3mb exe located at C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\Rainbow Six Vegas\Binaries (create a shortcut to your desktop for convenience). Hopefully that should work.

hey guys, not often on the forum but for those of you who fill the requirements for the game exept for 3.0 shader but have a 2.0 shader, you can still play it if you just do the following:
1) Find the following files:
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas\Engine\Config

2) Find the following entry in all the files:

3) Change “False” to “True”.
4) Save files and play the game
