im new to linux but learn this kinda stuff easy but i have a question, is this a software pack that u add to ur linux OR is this a version of Linux os, Like vista basic, premium, ultimate... get what im saying?

yes a new OS and since its a livedvd just burn it to a dvd then reboot [make sure your dvd drive loads b4 your hdd] then you should be able to try the OS b4 installing but i haven't tried this ver. of linux yet.

If you are New to linux, Please do not use Gentoo, first Get some training with Ubuntu.
