You have to download more up to date version, burn it on DVD disk, insert disk, restart PC enter bios, set up dvdrom as first boot device hdd as second (maybe already correct settings).
Gentoo is not best choice for beginner maybe look Ubuntu.com

can anyone help me here .. I can't mount the livedvd-amd64-installer image file to my virtual drive, I tried poweriso and daemon tool ... nothing happens ... I can mount another image file but this one.
