The subtitles worked for all the episodes for me.
Just the movies don't display them...
I am guessing that the format has something to do with it.
I think OGM can have overlay subtitles and maybe I just can't get them to display...Or maybe they aren't their at all?!?!

to view the subtitles on the movies run vlc player and when the video comes up and yur watchin it select video, subtitle track, and select track 1

Ok, I'm kinda new at this. After I finished downloading this torrent I right-clicked it, then selected open, which showed all the episodes and the 3 movies. Then a error message pops up everytime telling me that widows must shut down the program(which is the folder with all the Evangelion in it). This hasn't happened before tho...
Please help...

You need to download a bittorrent client like Bitcomet or Azureus. Then, just double-click it.

Well, I have Azureus. You see, I have it dl'ed completley, but when I try to open the file, Windows closes b/c it says something about protecting the computer.

I'm not getting any sound. Not to mention its taken me 8 days to download this and its STILL not done. I only have 3 seeds... it says 45 minutes to download the last freaking 4 megs.

I'm going to have to agree with TrueIdiot here, Canadianbacon967, and say that if you're having sound trouble you may want to switch to VLC media player. And update you codecs.

Well, it took me 7 days but it's worth.
Thanks for seeding and keep doing it.
For those who have problems with sound of the episodes or the subtitles of the movies, play it with Media Player Classic (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm).
If it still not working install the matroska spliter (http://packs.matroska.org/) and retry.
Works for me.

Hey everyone!
The colors in this one don't seem to be very bright, do they? I saw the series on tape some years ago and it was much more colorful... I am using CCCP for playback with Media Player Classic, but it is the same in VLC.

todo lo que tienen que hacer es pasar en las preferencias todos los valores de subida a no limit y veran como su descarga aumenta considerablemente, yo estaba bajando a 1 KB/seg osea toda la eternidad y prove con eso y si funciona ahora estoy bajando a mas de 60 kb/seg OJO PERO MUCHO OJO no utilizar con mas de una descarga ya que se cuelga el programa y como dice la recomendacion no poner la subida a mas de la mitad de la velocidad total del tu linea.
Todos los valores de descarga y subida en no limit y los maximos valores posibles y con solo esta descarga.
ademas estoy utilizando el ispeed for windows en xp sp2 y realmente funciona muy bien mi linea es de 4 megs de speed
suerte y por favor hagan seed x todos esto es una gran comunidad

Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) with the xine-extracodecs package installed and it all works fine using kmplayer.

Alucardio: Yes, the English subtitled are sticked to the video (at least for the episodes). I guess that you could always use a black background on the Spanish subtitles.
Regarding the director's cuts: I checked online for what the featured director's cuts are, and at least episode 1 seems to include them.

lol since the majority of people say it works fine, that means that you're the one who's doing something wrong (to whom it may concern)- even one person saying it works should be enough- cause there's no reason to lie about something like that.
vlc media player is definitely the best of all world, and the 9.0 version is several times better. It's not out yet (I'm using svn, kinda buggy) but look for it- should come out in 6 weeks or so- assuming all goes as planned.
usually no sane person would encode a file as ogm unless it had at least 2 tracks, so the movies should have english subs on a separate track. if you want to add french/spanish/etc. subs to the movies, shouldn't be a problem; but of course since the anime files are .avi subs are out of the question since, like gamanova pointed out, the subs are embedded.
you could edited them out- or layer the fr./sp./etc. subs beside them- but either way is ugly or a pain in the a**.

This is an 8GB torrent. It is less stressful if you download it by sections.It literally takes a week to download them all in one sitting.Even though it is kinda lot of work, I would weigh watching the episodes sooner than waiting for the whole torrent to download.
I continuously watched them all in a couple of days, considering I only watched 2 episodes per day.
Good quality
Good sound
Good overall!!! 
by the way, those considering watching the movie version of this, watch this first and see how bad the remake is.

For you people having playback problems, uninstall all your codecs and then go download and install the Combined Community Codecs Pack, and then play the files with Media Player Classic og Zoom Player, your choice. They come with CCCP

in Vista i think have, problems with some codecs but they are working on to solve it, tehre also the new version avaliable.
Also with gomplayer u can change de settings of the video, audio, subs, more contrast, more colourfull, more speed on subs, so i don't recomned gomplayer because i like it, it's because is GREAT!!!

The subtitles work for all including the movies, just use vlc and right click then select video>subtitle track>Track 1.
