The original version of game (1.0) was not good and needed a key, to convert, to install one patch, crack, etc.. Later installing support for mouse, etc. To facilitate to everything this i decided to make a new setup with all that and wanted share with all peoples who likes the Resident Evil series.

Hey sup, got a friend who downloaded this she got an error helped her out though.
If anyone is having issues after the install and it says missing d3dx9_30.dll, Please do the following.
1.Download the file at this link - http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_30
2.Open rar document and you should see 2 files. Leave the window open for a moment and goto My Computer, then the C: hard drive, then All Programs, Capcom, and finally Resident Evil 4 folder, you should see a bunch of files.
3.From the rar window that had the two files, drag the dll file and drop it to the Resident Evil folder.
4.Finally close all windows and Play the game should work.
This guide was just a quick one to help out a friend roger for making a good install with everything you need.
Anyone else has any problems I'll be sure to stop by and help.

Ratman_84, I made new setup for this game with an aggressive compacting. And for who already tested could see that is a 100% 1.10 version! All images, music are right.
The game after installed it uses 4.62 GB.

Problem: the cutscene at the end of chapter 1 and beginning of chapter two have no music, no sounds, and no characters. Basically, it is just the camera moving randomly around the room. I haven't tried any later cutscenes, but I suspect they are much of the same. Does anybody know of a solution to this problem?

you need to update the directx 9.0c if you not make it.
Comes with the iso, EXPLORE it dont run it, there will be a folder called directx. Open it and find the DXSetup and thats it.
After update your video card driver.

hey guys im getting this file because looks like works great, but i heard about the video and cutscenes problem. this dont happens only with this file, after read some comments i found this problem in every single torrent.

Got abit of a problem...
When installing ht egame there were a few errors so i ignored them, after that everything ran smootly untill i got to clicking play. The resident evil 4 logo pops up for about a quarter of a second at the bottem of the screen then goes off, nothing else happens... no game load!
Bit upset because i was looking forward to playing!
im mounting the cd with magic iso...
any help??

Well. After reading countless forums and experimenting, i finally found a solution for the cutscene skipping problem. This is what worked for me: Install the latest k-lite codec (the full version with media player classic), then download and install http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Codec_Pack_All_in_1.htm
Its an all in one codec pack. It should work properly after that. Worked for me

This is the real deal. Rogerlucas did an amazing job on this one. It's already patched to the latest version so there's no need to do anything but install and enjoy! Mouse support has been added, and so, no more keyboard mashing for those of you who hate that. Graphics have been tweaked to get more in-line with the PC's increased graphical prowess. The gameplay is breath-taking and exciting, not to mention really creepy! The characters and environments are--at some points--almost photo-realistic! And the sounds will make you jump in your seat more often than you would like to!

For all you that have problems you can try the following:
1)listen to Karma211 and download the codec pack
2)install directx if you haven't[the included one]
3)update your video card drivers
Just for the record I have GeForce 7600GS
I didn't do the last two on the list and the only problem the game is giving me is NIGHTMARES!

Ok at first i'm having the same problem as casican, where after the first scene in the car i got a runtime error. Then i downloaded the dll file from the link given by DVD7227 and then everything is ok. For anyone who has problems:
1. Download the k-lite codec like what Karma221 said from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Codec_Pack_All_in_1.htm and install it
2. Update DirectX. Included in the mounted iso.
3. If you get a runtime c++ error, download dll files like DVD7227 said from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_30
4. Update your video card driver

Nobody has mentioned it, but tyou cant change the ingame resolution with this tip... I take it is because of the rip, coz I haven't tried other versions of the game, yet. But I sure will, I hate playing with minimum resolution, looks stupid on a widescreen monitor, plus I have enough processing power not to be forced to run at minimum. I hate rips that miss this vital options...

Downloaded the files suggested by Norch in post #89. Not only did the game still not work but my computer was completely overrun by adware/spyware. Had to format my drive and reinstall to get rid of it all... Guess thats what I get for trusting everyone on mininova. Check out the source before you DL people!!! I had to learn the hard way.

Installed game fine had to download the d3dx9_30.dll file but its all cool.
Apart from the fact its saying " wrong disk inserted, Please insert the orginal "Resident Evil $" CD/DVD."

This game is kinda hard to play without a Gamepad, you can see/change the games controls by:
Start from Resident Evil 4 shortcut (NOT THE MOUSE SUPPORT)
>Setup>GAMEPAD and KEYBOARD.
i think ppl knows this alrdy.
Works fine, installation = no problems and no missing files.
Game works fine except i had 1 crash in the castle, i dont think its about the release but my computer.

I downloaded the file without problems...installed the file without problems, but when I started to play, the screen goes completly white!!!! (Only the "Leon" Health bar is visible and the map and status screen) I can actually shoot and do things, but I can't see anything

Hey, I am looking for some help from anyone that has had the same problem or knows how to resolve it. I have the read all 150 posts to try and fix it. I am having the same problem as other people with the cut scenes. There is no character in the frame just an empty room and there is hardly any sound. Yeah, must agree with the people complaining about seeding, i will leave it on all night, and most of tomorrow seeding at about 80Kb/s restricted to only a few peers - so they download it faster.
Cmon u leechers out there! the game doesn't require an internet connection, so you could always leave uTorrent/or whatever running in the background while u play? no?

Yea that worked. It's a pain tho that file is a gig and a half. But I think it gives me even better quality cut scenes then I would have previously had. I only play the game at night when I'm alone to get the full effect!

its good/ and clean.. i scanned it with bitdefender... then i also scan it with nod32.. no virus found,, dnt use avg.. AVG s.u.c.k.s. In 2006 avg was the best, last year they are very unuseful.. A simple trojan can penetrate with that.. better use Nod32,Kaspersky or Bitdefender.. "the Big 3"

The Loader.exe file is a trojan horse, do not open it. Delete it! (It's inside the Resident Evil folder)
