If this is indeed true 1080p HDTV, ask yourself one question.
Is my monitor 1080p compatible?
6.Posted by mattmattspain on Feb 01 2008 at 20:29
Get VLC Player
www.videolan.org/vlc/
go to file, open folder and open the imax folder
and yes you will need a monitor/lcd tv(HDMi) compatible with hd 1080p

Its not 1808p, so no need to ask if your tv is 1080p
1080i is close to 10gb/hour, so I doubt this is really 1080p...
Probably good quality, just not 1080p

This file has a .ts extension -- this is an HDTV broadcast format not supported by most video players. It didn't play at all using VLC Media player and only played the audio using WMP 11 (unrecognized file type).
If you do a liitle research on this type of file you can get it to play on your computer. I had to download a "HDTV pump" called DVBPortal and use one of the supported video 3rd party players. I used ZOOM Player, The video was outstanding but the audio was choppy. enjoy

Download the "K-Lite Codec Pack 3.8.0 Full" from http://www.codecguide.com
Install it and then .ts files will play in Media Player Classic, which is installed along with the codec pack.
Enjoy!

PAR2 file extension is the second version of PAR file extension. It's a method for archiving data while they're still recoverable and usable.
the reason for bad sound quality would be the damaged sound file, that must be recovered/repaired by using the "QuickPar" client !
Download "QuickPar" v0.9.1 2004-04-07 (latest version) 489.61 KB

TS file extension :
"Video stream format used for storing video on a DVD; compresses video data using standard .MPEG video compression; often saved as multiple files on a DVD, i.e. "moviename1.ts," "moviename2.ts," "moviename3.ts," etc; can be played back by some software DVD players and video editing tools."
To play it on MS Windows :
VideoLAN VLC media player
Squared 5 MPEG Streamclip
VobEdit
VideoReDo
adopted from fileinfo.net

reddraco please **** off.
who are you to tell me how to live if have the ability to purchase the products i CHOOSE to consume. what you are really for is the lack of freedom and the death of all things privatized. big government control and regulation. big government however does not allow for freedom of choice.
the earth is a big boy and it will take care of itself like it always does.

or do i have to find another player?
