I have downloaded the game but the mounter says that he doesn't recognized it. maybe because i have leopard and it works only on tiger??

i have downloaded the game and install it, but when i use to replace the NoCD, a message tell me i don't have permission. :? heeelp mee

I downloaded this and followed the instructions. Yet, when I tried to replace the version with the NoCD, I also got a message saying that I did not have "sufficient privileges for some of the items".

any way to fix this?

Downloaded and works fine. Running Tiger (ver. 10.4.11).
razorblade28/blueroswellcat - Are there multiple accounts on your mac? When installing the nocd patch an administrator password is required (if you are enabled as an admin that is). Otherwise without any more info that's all I can suggest...

mr-numb: Nope. I am the only account on my mac. I also use Tiger 10.4.11

I think I am just going to download it again and see how that works.

OK for leopard follow the instructions but copy the nocd to your comp. then delete the icon in the game file and THEN put the nocd one in. this way ur still replacing it

this game will not work on leopard 10.5.2 for the patch to work you need to run the game once but of course in 10.5.2 it will not let you run the game at all so its useless, if any of you chaps have the config file generated from running alice on your macs can ou post it somewhere for us new leopard users to try patching it?

Re-downloaded it, and still does not work for me.

Le sigh.

Hi, I've had problems with "American McGee's Alice.dmg" being "not recognized" in Leopard? Anyone have a solution for this, or know why it happens?

scratch that, looks like my copy of the file was corrupt. A torrented file corrupted? Unpossible!

ok this is a fix for anyone running tiger.
i'm running 10.4.11 and it worked for me.

ok so you've installed it and when you get to run the nocd it says you don't have privileges.
right click on the alice file in apps->get info->ownerships and permissions.
click details, click the lock to unlock, change owner to yourself and change access to read and write.
after that you still may not be able to copy it over, it was saying to me that "contents" was still in use.
simple fix, delete the file from applications and drop the nocd in it's place.

worked for me.
