Heh, It's Real. I dunno about passwords, but I do know its smaller because it is a GCF file, you require the cracked steam client, PacSteam. The reason GCF files are smaller, it's because Steam versions of publicly released games require less to run. So this is probably in a single language, probably english. Anyways, sit back, its got a fast download speed...It dies at like 3.8% though. 1 seed, 109 leechers.

Hi guys. It's worth downloading, my friend Matt ripped it for my group, no passwords, just hold on tight. It will be a few days before we get to 100 seeders or so.
It is English only, but it's better than the DVD in my opinion.

It's a GCF/NCF version, made for Steam. If you download PacSteam (cracked Steam) as the NFO says and install it, it will work 
. WE didn't remove anything, this is the full game.

I honestly don't know. Other members of the group are managing the seeding. All I know is that they are seeding 24/7, and I also seed a lot too.

Hey FlameBV thanks a lot for this! Would it be possible for you to upload a seperate torrent though with just the GCF, bioshock.exe, and paul.dll? I ask this because many already have the non-steam version installed which can't be activated. However, I noticed that the rars contain many of the same files as this release - so possibly all we'd need is the GCF with those 2 files and copy over our ISO installed version to steamapps. It would make things a lot faster.

- Err actually, we would need the NCFs too. I already got bioshock.exe and paul.dll from bioshock.part001.rar but it won't register in (pac)steam without the NCF and GCF files which are located in part58.rar (and maybe a rar or 2 before it, cant tell).

yes but I'm saying that the GCF and NCF files would be all we need if we already had the iso version installed. A 25~mb download really - just the files in bioshock.part058.rar.

Then tell every one with less then 50KB/s upload
to stop downloading
there are 1600 leechers
and lest say 10 seeders
there is no way thats enough
even if they all had a 100Mbit connection

did you activate the "super seeding" option?
That way
insted of sending the same pieces again and again
you will send different pieces to different people
so insted of 10 seeders to all pieces
each piece will have it's own seeders
and the speed of downloading increase

I Released This On The PacSteam Official Forums, So it SHOULD speed up sooner than it would if it was contained to just this and other torrent sites..
Also, torrents that use the public demonoid tracker always have that text file.

Be patient. As FlameBV said, it'll take a couple days to build up. Unless you want to go download the DVD/D2D version and wait a couple weeks for a crack

Just make sure it's not near your eyes when it has it's happy ending. They mean when there's a solid base of seeders so you don't hit a wall like I went from 300KB/s to .5 when I got to 19ish% because I have the same amount everyone else has except the 1 or 2 seeders.

1 - Make a new, blank Steam account. You can use legal Steam accounts on normal Steam, but keep PacSteam seperate. If they catch you, they disable your account, but nothing else.

Pacsteam is a program where you can play make a steam profile which has "bought" all the games, and you can play them. Some works online, some don't. You can't download the gamefiles from steam (it says the servers are overloaded or something), so you have to get the files from elsewhere. Several games has been released this way earlier (HL2, Sin Episodes etc..).

I just found out that this version also needs a crack. However, the crack for this release will be out soon (probably before DVD Crack), according to pAcmAn. I'm a little ticked myself, but pAcmAn said not to worry and that he will handle it.

I have uploaded twice as much compared to what I have downloaded so far I am at 47% at the moment and for like everyone else the speed goes up and down, it's all from 1-5kb/s up to 100-900kb/s. Hehe, anyway, I'll just leave my computer on until finished, lucky me I got a second computer for gaming

there should have been an added document on how to use pacsteam. for one you can't login with a blank account using pacsteam. however you can make a new steam account with the files included, logout and close steam.exe, and then activate the crack via the pacsteam control panel, log back in. also you can't access the proper steam files unless you open the pacstream folder on your harddrive, that is a bit tedious. originally i thought as well that you wouldn't need a crack considering you use pacsteam to play the game. from reading the posts it seems otherwise. i also want to know why most people can't connect to any seeds. at this rate the game won't be reaching 100% completion until saturday. still it seems we can't even play.

What a messy release this is...
Not even tested, not being super seeded (hence everyone at same %) and the number of seeders to go public with this is just ridiculous for a huge release, specially when you claim the only 'working' version out there.
Poor job guys! I'm off to the store to buy a copy of this great game, it's certainly worth it!

Superseed depends on the torrent client you use. Just search your clients FAQ and it should be in there somewhere.
For uTorrent, doubleclick the torrent and enable 'Initial seeding'.

Guys ... what is going on ... i have been downloading this torrent for 2 days now .. 34.2% availability. The strange thing is that once in a while some one will show up with more percentage complete and then everyone will stuck to that percentage. the strange part is that there is no seeder with 100% and still people with more % show up

guy 1 - has file parts 1-3
guy 2 - has file parts 4-6

Some guys at cs.rin got the paul.dll 99 percent cracked and you can download it from there. I tried it with the steam release exe and it doesnt work right, but the retail exe (the one thats like 15,920kb) works fine, even with the steam version. The only thing left to fix is the start button. It brings up the activation screen and you type in any number (no not the ubisoft screen, the real bioshock activation screen) and the activation is always successfull. The only thing left to fix is to reconnect the start button to starting the app. Link posted here:

none of the other versions work. from my understanding all this one needs is a proper crack. i hope that really is all it needs. we need more people seeding, can't you host this on a private ftp server so other people you know can download it and commit to super seeding? at the moment i see 0 seeds in swarm. i just ordered a new gaming mouse pad and the first thing i test it on should be bioshock. i'd hate to waste funds on buying a fps with possibly just two endings and little to no else replay value w/ no multiplayer. the only other alternative is a working 6 gig iso without the securom protection and authentication. which doesn't seem to be coming.

It's not the peers who have to superseed, cause whoever starts the DL now will just get the same 38.7% we all have
If the seed superseeded, instead, we could have people with 40% of different parts than us adding up to our 38% for a grand total of 78% (random numbers, you know)

People pls gimme some light: yesterday I started download pacsteam bio at demonoid, but at the end of the day I stopped and turn off PC. Today, restarting, only blue light appears (meaning: no complete copies among us... until now), the link vanished and only a msg is left (owner or administration have deleted this torrent...); I'm at 38,6% with ~100 kb/s.
Questions:
1) it's a worthless download?
2) if so, can I use the downloaded files and restart with this mininova torrent?

That is the exact same files as here, yes it is the same torrent and you can just restart with this .
Someone at rin.ru made a crack that is complete except start button does not work...I will keep you all updated.

We need a crack sadly, but the crack is nearly completed.
ChristoWall, the crack is for PacSteam only, but I'm working with the help of a friend on another 30 MB torrent that will convert the ISO of BioShock to the PacSteam version. My friend did it himself, but because it's a hard process I need to code a .bat file for it.

The seeder was seeding it from a hotel room, but now he got home and his net at home is a LOT faster. The seeding downtime was when he was on the plane and now that he's home he's seeding from his server PC.

would be nice flamebv if you do get a working crack with this pacsteam version that you would fit in a .txt or .nfo that describes the appropriate steps into using pacsteam. it is a little confusing for people who haven't used it and there isn't any specific document that comes with the pacsteam client that is actually helpful on what you're suppose to do with it to play the cracked games.

Has anyone had any luck with this crack - Bioshock.PATCH.INTRNAL-Razor1911 which is over on isohunt, wondering if its fake or if it still has the problem of the non working start button. Details in the rar say:
Install Notes

The program puts everyone at the same % amount and sends only parts (already uploaded to everyone) to new leechers only. I've seen it happens a lot and never really found the real answer.

ubisoft activation screen is a half-fake because exe is from another game but activation process is the same, original exe is in bioshock.part001.rar in this torrent

they are seeding, pepl need to read the comments. the game will reach 100% tonight. still we need a crack for it, which flame is trying to work on. as for the onehitwonder release it's been nuked. so it doesn't work. if you try and activate the game with their crack you will just waste one of your activation attempts and you only get two.

I don't understand the BitTorrent super-seeding protocol. We activated "Initial Seeding" on uTorrent (which is the same as super-seeding, but uTorrent calls it Initial Seeding) but everyone is coming toward the goal together.
I can imagine what it will look like when we all reach that goal.
1808 seeders, 0 leechers. .
I'm on 70% (Before you ask, I'm not the seeder but I do know the seeder.)

Flame, I guess that happens cause you're only connected to peers that already have the same 70% so even if you send part A to mr X and part B to mr Y now,you're just splitting the upload speed among them and sending the same amount of data after all,there's so many peers at the same percentage that,by the time someone gets a new part,everybody has it
BTW,can't you possibly use the modified paul.dll with this steam version?
I tried steam's with the DVD release and it gives a "Cannot contact steam for the serial" error but perhaps you can make it work the other way around,have bioshock.exe believe it should get the activation like the DVD version
That way you could save some time,since that .dll is pretty much done (and I don't get why nobody finished that job)

Alright. Here's how to use the mini image:
-Daemon tools... Mount 2 drivers.
-G:\ for the ISO you d/led. The 6.07 (or so) GB one. That get stuck with the Update thing
-H:\ for the .mds file you can get at one of the links above... (sorry cant find it)
Then run the installer from the ISO file... and let it install...
I wasnt in the room when it did it, but when I came back it used the MDS file to install the rest and continue past the update.

Yes... the link some where is up in the comments... (roughly 30-40 minutes ago).
It lets you d/l a .rar file that contains both the .mds file (mountable) and the .mdf file which is the actual mini image....
When daemon tools mounts the mds file... when the installer stops with the mounted ISO file, it directs the installer to run the .mdf file, and the installer continues to the end.
So get the entire .rar

ok, im trying this:
So if you have already downloaded one of the images (the actual 6gig download). Extract the iso to your harddrive, and mount this maxi mini image in daemon tools. Run the setup.exe that you just extracted to your hard drive. With the maxi image mounted, It will allow you to install the game fully, with no errors. Just to verify, do not attempt to install from the maxi image. You are only mounting it. Install from the iso you extracted to your hard drive.

I'm currently at 86.1% with DL Speeds fluctuating between .1 - 1.5 kB/s. I been at it for 2 days now and hit a high of 50 kB/s today. If I manage to finish by tomorrow I will start SuperSeeding as CerbX suggested in a previuos post. With only 2 seeds currently nothing to do but wait out the next 14%.

people it's useless to count every percentage tick till it reaches 100% as it won't work until a crack for this steam version is released..
heck, it could be released by the end of next week for all we know...
