Why is everybody (including aXXo) doing 700MB rips with stereo sound. By now I think a most of us here has fast broadband connections and it would not be a problem to download 1.4GB movie with 5.1 sound !!!
Can we move forward a litlle bit, or non of you actual rippers has a real DVD in his hands with original picture and sound !

How come this is a DVD rip, when the actual Region One DVD is not available until 2nd October 2007 from places like Playusa.com....????
How can this be a DVD rip I ask? Does AXXO actually have his own distribution outlet where he gets hold of samples or is he an inside man working for a major movie company???
I'd be interested in AXXO or anyone quantifying this.
I'd download this torrent, however I'd rather buy a legit copy as its a great movie and it has 5.1 sound.

To all the whiners out there AXXO releases his rips so they fit onto a Single CD-R so the Many people with a Divx player out there can just copy the file to CD then Play. No conversion No Hassle. U want 5.1 then you would sacrifice video quality to get it? I dont think So! Fix it yourself with NERO 7 Full edition. Convert to DVD then click More Tab and change the audio to 5.1 and Burn TA DA U now have 5.1 audio.

Alternatively, invest in a decent home cinema amp such as Yamaha DSP-AX757SE and believe me, that kit is awesome with so many sound options you would be hard pressed to notice whether the 5.1 sound was in place on the disc or the box of tricks in the amp was "simulating" it.
As for movie quality, as usual 10/10 on both audio and visual count.

the best player to get is 1. uninstall all codec packs 2. google CCCP, download and install
it's the only pack anyone should have. comes with media player classic and zoomplayer but the former is sufficient
on the aspect of 5.1 audio, i believe it's possible to have a movie of decent quality and 5.1 in a 1GB file. and if you use acc-he instead of mp3, it might even be possible to have 5.1 in a 700MB file. but why are we still in a CD-R era? as far as i know, all divx players can play DVD/DVDR(W). my dvd/divx player has no problem with an avi file with ac3 5.1 audio. and a stereo source converted to 5.1 can never be discreet 6-channel audio. those of you who do not care obviously just want to watch the movie. i'd wanna have the max experience from the movie

I've tried burning this film twice now and both times it's started off great but after about 40mins the screen freezes for a second then the sound is out of synch.. Happens at the same place...very frustrating!!

to J4B3R, ac3 is an audio container usually reserved for 5.1 audio. but it has clearly been abused/misused by axxo since all axxo "releases" (thus far) contain only stereo audio. if your divx movie contains ac3 5.1 audio, you'd be happy to know that most stand-alone divx players can readily decode the audio.

I think aXXo is right to do what he is doing ref CD stereo vs DVD and 5.1.
Surely the reason for P2P is to help those in need to get what they otherwise would not...which boils down to people without much money. Remember we are talking globally here so not everybody has fast DL speeds...some can't afford it and some don't even have the physical availability.
I think for the moaners who want >1Gb files with 5.1..be happy you can get access to the film. However I get the idea some moaners are actually cheap skates who have got money, so my advice to them would be to push off from P2P and aXXo's back and buy the frikkin' DVD.

Can anyone help i have this problem with all aXXo's torrents as they take for ever to DL like 2 days or more but other peoples i can get in under 2 hours i can only pick up like 20 seeds at best and DL at 16kb/s others i get in a couple hours and pick up heaps of seeds.

superslueth are you using peerguardian or another similar program? Maybe axxo torrents use particular trackers and your program is blocking them. If so try turning the program off and then downloading. Just a guess.

No I meant were you using a program to block IP addresses. But since you are new to torrents I doubt you are using that kind of program. I don't know why you have slow speeds with only axxo torrents. Are you downloading axxo torrents when they are brand new? That would make it slow. Or maybe your ISP is blocking certain trackers used by the torrents but that seems unlikely. I don't know why, sorry.

sounds like your'e missing a codec. You need to download K-lite codec pack from following site (use google search for k lite codec)

Install it and you should be ok
